For the 2026–27 season, Dallas Stars fans in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, or Arkansas can watch non-nationally televised regular-season games on Prime Video. National broadcasts use the outlet listed for each matchup, while fans outside the Stars’ regional territory should check NHL Center Ice or NHL Power Play on the ESPN App. On-demand replay availability is not established by the team’s published viewing information, so check the specific game in the service you plan to use.
Choose where to watch based on your location and the game
| Situation | Where to start | Important detail |
|---|---|---|
| In the Stars’ territory; game is not nationally televised | Prime Video | Requires Amazon Prime or Prime Video membership. The team says existing Prime members can watch these non-national broadcasts at no additional charge. |
| The matchup is nationally televised | The outlet shown on that game’s listing | Dallas’s 2026–27 schedule names ESPN, ABC, TNT, or ESPN+/Hulu for its national broadcasts. Those games are excluded from the team’s non-national Prime Video stream. |
| Outside the Stars’ territory | NHL Center Ice or NHL Power Play on the ESPN App | Confirm the market restriction and outlet for the individual game. Certain regional games shown on NHL Network outside their local markets are unavailable on ESPN+. |
Watch in-market games on Prime Video
The Dallas Stars identify Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas as their regional territory. For regular-season games in that territory that are not assigned to a national broadcaster, Prime Video is the team’s local streaming option for 2026–27. If you are near a market boundary or are unsure whether your location qualifies, consult the Stars’ current broadcast information and the game listing.

Membership and cost
The Stars’ FAQ says viewers need either an Amazon Prime membership or a Prime Video membership. It says existing Prime members can watch the non-national Stars broadcasts at no additional charge. Membership terms can change, so verify the current offer and terms directly with Amazon before subscribing.

The team lists Prime Video access on the web and through its app on supported smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes, game consoles, and connected TVs. Exact model compatibility is determined by Amazon’s current device list. A separate streaming device is only relevant if your television or other existing device does not support the app.

Check whether a game is national
The Stars’ 2026–27 national schedule lists 13 broadcasts: four on ESPN, one on ABC, five on TNT, and three on ESPN+/Hulu. The local Prime Video stream is for non-national games, so identify the broadcaster for the particular matchup before game time rather than assuming every Stars game will appear in the same app.
- Find the specific matchup in the Stars’ current schedule or broadcast listing.
- Check the listed television or streaming outlet for that date.
- If the listing assigns a national outlet, watch through that outlet; if it is a non-national regional game and you are in the territory, use Prime Video.
Options for viewers outside the regional territory
The Stars direct out-of-market viewers to NHL Center Ice or NHL Power Play on the ESPN App. The NHL’s U.S. viewing guide describes out-of-market streaming through ESPN+ but notes an exception: certain regional games carried by NHL Network outside their local markets are not available on ESPN+. Coverage can therefore differ by game and location; check the listing and package details for the matchup you want before relying on a subscription.

Can you watch a Stars game on demand?
The team’s published information establishes where to stream eligible live games, but it does not specify whether full-game replays or other on-demand versions are available, how long they remain available, or which package includes them. If you missed a game, search for that matchup inside the relevant service and check its current replay options; do not assume that a live-streaming entitlement includes an on-demand replay.
