This is a series-level order, not a claim that every earlier episode is individually required. The official pages do not publish a shorter “essential episodes” list, so skipping to a fan-made selection means accepting that it has not been verified by the rights holder.
Why watch The Legend of Korra before Seven Havens?
Seven Havens is not described as another story set immediately after the original Team Avatar’s adventures. Paramount+ identifies it as a series about the Avatar who follows Korra. That makes The Legend of Korra the direct predecessor in the Avatar cycle and the most relevant context before starting the new show.
Watching only the 2005–2008 series gives you the franchise’s starting point, but it leaves out the entire Korra-era chapter that the official description places before Seven Havens. Watching both earlier series lets you encounter the succession in order rather than trying to reconstruct it from summaries.

What Seven Havens is about
The official series description says that Seven Havens follows a young Earthbender who discovers that she is the new Avatar in a world changed by a cataclysm. It also places her after Korra in the Avatar succession. Those details explain why the complete order matters: the show introduces a new Avatar and a changed world, rather than continuing the original series’ protagonist.
The description is a premise, not a complete synopsis. It does not provide a confirmed list of returning characters, a detailed explanation of the cataclysm, or a promise that a viewer must remember a particular episode from either earlier series. Avoid treating unverified fan theories or recaps as official prerequisites.
Seven Havens episode status and how to verify it

A practical watch plan
Plan A: first-time viewer
- Begin with Avatar: The Last Airbender and watch the series from its first episode through its finale.
- Move to The Legend of Korra without inserting Seven Havens between episodes or seasons.
- When Korra is complete, open the current Seven Havens episode guide and start with the earliest available Season 1 episode.

Plan B: returning viewer

Physical ownership as an alternative
A complete DVD set of Avatar: The Last Airbender can be useful if you want to own the foundational series or avoid depending on a streaming catalog. The show page exists but episodes will not play
Check the account’s subscription status, parental controls and device support, then try the episode page again. If the catalog page and playback rights disagree, contact the service rather than assuming the series has been removed permanently.
The episode count differs from the dated listing
Use the current official episode guide as the authority. The three Season 1 entries dated October 9, 2026 describe what that guide showed at that time; later additions or regional differences can change the visible list.
