The dependable way to watch ATP tennis while traveling is to check the ATP Tour TV Schedule for your destination country and the exact tournament category. Broadcast rights can change by territory and by event, so a service that works at home may not carry the same match overseas.
Then compare the listed local broadcaster with Tennis TV Premium, the official ATP streaming option. Tennis TV offers live matches and replays on computers, mobile devices, smart TVs and Amazon Fire TV, but its country rules and the treatment of an existing subscription when you cross a border need to be verified before you travel.

Start with the destination and the tournament
Do not begin by assuming that your home television package or streaming subscription follows you internationally. ATP rights are organized by both geography and tournament category. The broadcaster shown for an ATP Masters 1000 event in one country may differ from the partner shown for an ATP 500 or ATP 250 event, and the partner in your destination may not be the one you use at home.
Recommended Free Tools
The ATP Tour TV Schedule is the official starting point because it lists broadcast partners by territory and separates listings for Masters 1000, ATP 500 and ATP 250 tournaments. Use it as an event-and-country lookup, not as a guarantee that an account purchased elsewhere will work after you arrive.

What you need before searching
- The country in which you will actually watch, including a transit or hotel stop if you plan to stream there.
- The tournament name and its category: Masters 1000, ATP 500 or ATP 250.
- The dates and approximate sessions you want, such as daytime matches, night sessions or the final.
- The devices available at your lodging: laptop, phone, tablet, smart TV or a television that can accept an Amazon Fire TV streaming device.
The fastest decision path
- Open the ATP TV Schedule and select your destination territory.
- Find the tournament category and event you intend to watch.
- Record the broadcaster or streaming service shown for that combination of country and category.
- Check that service’s current sign-up, login and device requirements for visitors in that country.
- Compare that result with Tennis TV Premium’s current country and subscription information before paying for anything.
How to use the ATP Tour TV Schedule
1. Select the country where you will watch
Rights are territorial. Select the destination rather than your home country, even if you bought your subscription at home and are only away for a short trip. If your itinerary includes multiple countries, repeat the check for each one; a service available in the first stop may not have the same rights in the next.
2. Match the event category
Use the category shown in the schedule. The ATP separates Masters 1000, ATP 500 and ATP 250 coverage, so checking only the tournament name or only a general tennis listing can lead you to the wrong partner. This matters when one service carries a tournament in your destination but another service carries a different ATP category.
3. Treat the listed partner as the lead, not the whole answer
The schedule identifies the relevant broadcast partner for the territory and category. Open that partner’s own travel, account and device pages to confirm practical details such as whether it offers a live stream, whether a local subscription is required and which screens are supported. The ATP listing itself is the authoritative place to identify the partner; the partner’s terms determine how you can access it.

4. Save the result for the trip
Record the partner name, the event page and the customer-support link. Take a screenshot or save the URL while you still have your normal connection. Rights pages can be difficult to navigate on hotel Wi-Fi, and an offline note prevents a last-minute search for the same information.
Tennis TV Premium: the official streaming route
Tennis TV is the ATP’s official streaming option. Its help centre says Premium includes live matches and replays, with support for computers, mobile devices, smart TVs and Amazon Fire TV. That makes it useful when the destination broadcaster is inconvenient or when you want a single interface across several screens.

Coverage still depends on the country and the event rights. Tennis TV’s product description does not override the territory listing in the ATP schedule, and the public help pages reviewed do not establish that an existing subscriber receives identical live-event access after moving to another country. Verify the exact destination and tournament before relying on Premium for a trip.
Country availability
Tennis TV’s country-availability page states: “Tennis TV is available worldwide except for the following countries:” The page lists these four exceptions:

| Country | Availability information |
|---|---|
| Cuba | Listed by Tennis TV as an exception to worldwide availability. |
| Iran | Listed by Tennis TV as an exception to worldwide availability. |
| North Korea | Listed by Tennis TV as an exception to worldwide availability. |
| Syria | Listed by Tennis TV as an exception to worldwide availability. |
Japan has a separate restriction: new Premium subscriptions are unavailable there. Tennis TV says existing users retain Premium access until their current subscription term ends. That is different from the four-country availability exceptions, so a traveler going to Japan should check the account’s current status rather than assuming that a new subscription can be purchased locally.
Read the current wording on Tennis TV’s country-availability help page immediately before departure. Availability rules can be specific to the country in which you are trying to subscribe or watch.
What Premium does and does not answer
| Question | What the official pages establish | What you should verify |
|---|---|---|
| Are live matches included? | Premium offers live matches and replays. | Whether the particular event is available in your destination. |
| Which screens are supported? | Computers, mobile devices, smart TVs and Amazon Fire TV are listed. | Whether your lodging’s television and network can use the chosen device. |
| Is the service available worldwide? | Tennis TV lists worldwide availability with four country exceptions. | Your destination’s current status and any separate subscription restriction. |
| Will a home subscription travel unchanged? | The reviewed help pages do not explain cross-border live-rights behavior for an existing subscriber. | Destination, event and account terms before you travel. |
The live-and-replay and device details come from Tennis TV’s “How Can I Watch Tennis TV?” help page. The country and Japan information comes from its availability page.

Compare the practical viewing choices
Make the comparison in this order: destination rights first, content type second, account conditions third and hardware last. A familiar app is not useful if it lacks the live event in the country where you are staying.

| Destination broadcaster listed by the ATP | When you want the partner holding rights in your destination for the specific event category. | The ATP schedule lists partners by territory and separately for Masters 1000, ATP 500 and ATP 250. | Live-stream availability, local sign-up rules, language, supported devices and whether the event is included in the required plan. |
| Tennis TV Premium | When you want the official ATP streaming interface and access to live matches and replays where permitted. | Live matches and replays; computers, mobile devices, smart TVs and Amazon Fire TV. | Country availability, the Japan subscription restriction, event rights and how an existing subscription behaves across borders. |
Do not buy both options automatically. First identify which service has the event in the destination. A second subscription may be unnecessary, while a single service chosen without checking territory may leave you with no live stream.
Set up devices before leaving home
Laptop, phone or tablet
- Sign in to the service you intend to use while you are still at home.
- Install the current app if one is offered, then confirm that your account can play a replay or other available video.
- Check that the device has enough free storage for app updates and that its operating system is supported.
- Pack charging cables and, if you rely on mobile data, confirm your roaming allowance before streaming.
These checks do not prove that a live match will be available abroad; they only remove avoidable login and hardware problems before the rights question matters.
Smart TV or lodging television
Tennis TV lists smart TVs among its supported platforms. Hotel televisions may restrict app installation or block sign-in, so bring a fallback device. An Amazon Fire TV streaming device may help on a compatible television, but it does not change territorial rights or make an unavailable service available. Confirm that you can connect the device to the lodging’s Wi-Fi and that the television has an accessible HDMI input.
Network and account preparation
- Save your account email and recovery method securely; do not rely on a password stored only in a browser you will not use.
- Test two-factor authentication while you still receive the required messages or codes.
- Download the official app only from the platform’s normal app store.
- Check whether the lodging network requires a browser sign-in before streaming devices can connect.
- Keep the ATP schedule URL and the relevant service-support page in your travel notes.
Traveling with an existing Tennis TV subscription
The most important unresolved practical point is cross-border behavior for an existing subscriber. The official pages reviewed explain Premium content, supported devices and country availability, but they do not say that a subscription purchased in one territory automatically grants the same live-event rights in another. They also do not provide a universal rule for every travel scenario.

Therefore, treat your existing subscription as a possibility to verify, not as a guarantee. Before departure, contact the service or review the current account terms with three details ready: the country where the subscription was purchased, the country where you will watch and the exact ATP tournament. Ask specifically whether live rights, replays, blackout rules and login access apply in the destination for the dates of your trip.
If support cannot confirm the event, use the ATP TV Schedule to identify the destination broadcaster and prepare that service as your primary plan. Keep your existing Tennis TV credentials available as a fallback only if the destination terms permit access.
A pre-trip planning checklist
Complete this checklist for every event you care about, rather than once for the whole season.
- Destination: Write down the country in which you will watch, including each stop on a multi-country itinerary.
- Event: Note the tournament name, category and intended sessions.
- Rights: Check the ATP TV Schedule for that country and category.
- Service: Confirm whether the listed partner provides live coverage and what account or plan is required.
- Tennis TV: Check the current country page, including the four listed availability exceptions and the separate Japan subscription rule.
- Existing account: Ask how your subscription behaves in the destination; do not infer the answer from home access.
- Hardware: Choose a supported laptop, mobile device, smart TV or compatible Amazon Fire TV setup.
- Connectivity: Arrange reliable Wi-Fi or data and complete any hotel-network sign-in.
- Fallback: Save the destination broadcaster’s page and support contact in case the first option fails.
What to do when the stream fails
The service says the event is unavailable
Recheck the country and tournament category in the ATP schedule. If the destination partner differs from the service you opened, switch to the listed partner rather than repeatedly refreshing the wrong app. If you are near a border or using a network that routes through another country, ask the service which location it detects and consult its support terms.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsYou can log in but cannot start live video
Separate an account problem from a rights problem. Try a replay if one is included, then check the event listing for the destination. A successful login proves that the account is recognized; it does not prove that live rights follow you across borders.

The television will not cooperate
Move to a laptop or phone to establish whether the account and event work. If that succeeds, the issue is the lodging television, app installation or HDMI/network setup. Tennis TV’s listed platform support includes computers and mobile devices, so these are practical alternatives to a restricted hotel TV.
Hotel Wi-Fi blocks the stream
Complete the network’s browser sign-in, move closer to the access point, or use an approved personal connection if your plan allows it. Avoid assuming that a faster connection can fix a territorial restriction: bandwidth and rights are separate problems.
You are traveling to Japan and need Premium
Check your account before leaving. Tennis TV says new Premium subscriptions are unavailable in Japan, while existing users retain Premium until the end of their current subscription term. If you are not already covered, identify the destination broadcaster through the ATP schedule instead of waiting until match time.
Use official terms and avoid risky workarounds
Rights restrictions are part of the service’s licensing arrangement. Do not assume that changing an account’s country, sharing credentials or using an unapproved access method is permitted. Such steps can violate terms, fail unpredictably or create a support problem when you need help abroad. The reliable approach is to use the partner identified for the destination or a Tennis TV subscription whose country and event access you have confirmed.
Keep payment and identity details consistent with the service’s published requirements. If a local purchase is necessary, read the renewal and cancellation terms before subscribing, especially when the trip is short and the plan may recur after you return home.
Plan for the match you actually want
“ATP tennis” is not one single international package. A Masters 1000 event, an ATP 500 tournament and an ATP 250 tournament can have different partners in the same country. A service that carries one category may not carry another, and a replay may be available where a live stream is not. Write the event and category at the top of your travel plan, then check the destination listing for that exact combination.
Once the rights check is complete, choose the simplest supported setup you can control: a tested laptop or mobile device is often easier to troubleshoot than a locked hotel television. Use a smart TV or Amazon Fire TV only when the lodging connection and display inputs are confirmed. Save the schedule and support links offline, and verify cross-border subscription behavior before you depend on an account purchased at home.
