If there is no download option, that title is not available to download for your account or location. Amazon’s usage rules explain that download availability depends on the title and location. A downloaded movie is temporary app playback, not a permanent video file that you can export.
How long downloaded movies remain available
Amazon’s usage rules say downloaded videos typically need to be started within 30 days and finished within 48 hours after playback begins. These are typical windows, not a guarantee for every title or market; the title’s terms and any notices in the app take precedence.

For movies watched through a Prime or Prime Video membership, access ends when that membership expires or is cancelled. That rule does not apply in the same way to a title you rented or purchased, which remains subject to its applicable access terms.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you play a downloaded movie on a TV?
Amazon says downloaded playback through Chromecast or AirPlay is not permitted. Its help page says offline television playback may be possible with supported devices and appropriate adapters, but it does not establish compatibility for every iPhone, TV, or adapter combination. Check device compatibility before relying on a TV setup; for offline viewing on your phone, play the download in the Prime Video app.
