It explores the Water Margin’s history in Chinese and Japanese art, rather than marking the video-game series anniversary. KONAMI separately identifies a Suikoden 30th-anniversary display at Tokyo Game Show 2026, but its visitor dates and location details are not established here. This guide covers the Tokyo Station Gallery exhibition.

What the exhibition covers
SUIKODEN The Water Margin: Outlaws of the Marsh traces the story’s influence across Chinese and Japanese art. The gallery describes Chinese works spanning the Northern Song to Qing dynasties and Japanese works from the Edo period to the present, including ukiyo-e prints, woodblock-printed books and other pieces. The presentation follows the Water Margin’s reception in Japan, from the illustrated edition by Kyokutei Bakin and Katsushika Hokusai to later depictions by Utagawa Kuniyoshi.
A highlight is the complete set of 74 prints in Kuniyoshi’s One Hundred and Eight Heroes of the Popular Water Margin series, as identified and presented by Tokyo Station Gallery. The exhibition also includes costumes from the television adaptation of Kenzo Kitakata’s Suikoden novels. The gallery page reports that the novel series has sold over 11.6 million copies in cumulative print; it does not state when that figure was measured. See the exhibition overview and the gallery’s series information.

Is this the Suikoden game series anniversary exhibition?
No. The Tokyo Station Gallery exhibition is centered on the Water Margin and its artistic legacy; the costumes from the Kitakata television adaptation are one part of that broader subject. KONAMI identifies a separate Suikoden series 30th-anniversary display at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The available KONAMI information does not establish that display’s visitor dates, Tokyo address or access arrangements, so do not use the gallery’s details as directions to the game-series display. Check KONAMI’s announcement for its own event information.
