When you have the released game, open the Jason and Lucia tab and look for Criminal Profile. Treat that as a reported menu location, not a confirmed sequence of controls: no cited source documents which buttons to press or whether the final menu will match the preview reporting.
How does Criminal Profile work?
Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson described the system as responsive to patterns in criminal behavior, particularly repeated unnecessary escalation. As reported by GamesRadar+, Nelson said: “If you’re doing things on mission that you are required to do – or you’re robbing places, or somebody comes and messes with you and you have to deal with them by smacking them down or whatever – that’s all fair game.”

He added: “It’s when you go beyond what is necessary on a consistent basis, or you do completely unnecessary stuff consistently, that you may start to sway your criminal profile in a certain direction.” These comments support a distinction between actions required by a mission or situation and consistently going further than necessary. They do not specify how individual actions are scored.
Nelson also framed the design around the protagonists and the story: “This is a story about a couple on the run. We have tried to make the systems and the design support our narrative when and wherever possible.” The statement, quoted in GamesRadar+’s report, is a reason not to read Criminal Profile as a straightforward measure of whether a player is morally good.

Is Criminal Profile the same as RDR2 honor or Wanted level?
No. The phrase “honor rank” may help describe what players are looking for, but developer comments describe a Criminal Profile shaped by patterns in how crimes are committed—not a confirmed Red Dead Redemption 2-style good-or-evil meter. The sources do not establish official profile ranks, score values, thresholds, or specific story outcomes.

Criminal Profile is also distinct from Wanted level. Pre-release coverage treats the profile as a broader behavioral system and Wanted status as the immediate law-enforcement response to a crime. The complete rules for either system in the final game have not been established in the cited coverage.
