Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIf YouTube’s SMS verification code has not arrived, wait a few minutes and try the automated voice-call option. If neither method works, check that the number and country selection are correct, then try a different number or operator that can receive Google messages or calls. YouTube says a phone number can be associated with no more than two channels per year for this verification process.
Verify your Indian YouTube channel
Use YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Open Settings > Channel > Feature eligibility.
- Under Intermediate features, select Verify phone number.
- Enter your phone number, confirm the country selection is correct, and choose text message or voice call.
- Enter the six-digit code YouTube sends you.
Use the verification page on a mobile browser
YouTube also documents a mobile-browser route: visit youtube.com/verify, sign in if asked, choose a delivery method, and enter the six-digit code.

What to do if you haven’t received the verification code on your phone
First, rule out a delayed SMS
Check that you entered the right number and selected the correct country, then give the text message a few minutes to arrive. YouTube notes that delivery may be delayed, including in densely populated areas or where the signal is weak. If the code still has not arrived, try the voice-call option if it is offered.

Compare SMS and voice call
| Method | When to try it | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Text message | Choose it if your number can receive texts from Google. | Delivery can take a few minutes; weak signal or local delivery conditions may contribute to a delay. |
| Automated voice call | Try it if the SMS has not arrived after a few minutes. | It is an official alternative, but operators may support text messages and calls differently. |
If neither method works
Not all operators support text messages or voice calls from Google. YouTube does not publish a current India-specific list of supported operators, so there is no reliable basis to promise that a particular Indian carrier will work. Try a different number or operator that can receive the messages or calls instead.

It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

If YouTube says the number has reached its limit
YouTube’s stated limit is two channels per phone number per year. If the form reports that the number has already been used for the maximum number of channels, repeated attempts with that number will not solve the eligibility issue; use a different number.
What should I do if my YouTube verification code is not received?
- Confirm the number and country selection on the verification form.
- Request one available delivery method and wait a few minutes for a delayed SMS.
- If SMS does not arrive, choose voice call if YouTube offers it.
- If both methods fail, try another number or operator that supports Google messages or calls.
- If YouTube reports the annual number limit, switch to a different number rather than retrying the capped one.
- If the same sending error continues across eligible numbers, consult YouTube Help and, if available to you, Creator Support. A TeamYouTube employee’s community guidance has also suggested Creator Support for persistent issues, but community replies are not a confirmed diagnosis of an individual delivery failure.
YouTube’s published guidance does not identify which Indian operators currently support these messages, guarantee that a code will arrive, or explain the cause of a particular failed attempt. There is no official India-specific delivery success rate or carrier ranking to rely on.

Phone verification versus advanced features
Phone verification is an initial step for some channel features, not a guarantee of access to every feature. YouTube says verified accounts can upload videos longer than 15 minutes. If you are seeking advanced features, YouTube says you may also need to build sufficient channel history or verify your identity with an ID or video; those ID and video options are not available to every creator.

Avoid unreliable OTP workarounds
- Do not send repeated rapid requests; use the official SMS or voice-call options and follow the form’s prompts.
- Do not assume a rented or virtual number will work. YouTube’s official guidance does not recommend OTP rental services or bypass methods.
- A new phone, SIM accessory, or other physical product is not established by YouTube’s instructions as necessary. The supported troubleshooting options are changing delivery method and, if needed, trying a different number or operator.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a separate service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos; it does not help deliver a verification code and does not go live from a camera. To use it, upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the video from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Your upload streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and the service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
