The National Career Service (NCS) government vacancies directory, managed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, links to government recruitment pages. It is an index for discovery, not a guarantee that every central, state, local, public-sector or autonomous-body vacancy is listed. NCS says its services are free and warns that fraudulent websites or people may falsely claim an association with it.

Monitor the recruiting body’s own notice page
Once you find a relevant organization, use the page where it publishes recruitment notices. For example, the UPSC homepage links to recruitment advertisements, vacancy circulars and examination notifications. It directs examination applicants to its new application portal. The organization’s own current advertisement—not an index entry or a Visualping alert—sets the operative eligibility, dates and application instructions.

- Copy the official page URL. Choose the specific commission, department or employer notice page, rather than relying only on a general job-news page.

- Select the notice area when possible. In the page preview, choose the recruitment table, notices list or other relevant section. If the selection seems unreliable, monitor the full page and expect more noise.
- Choose alert criteria and frequency. If the current interface offers a plain-language condition, focus it on new recruitment notices or terms relevant to your roles. Select an interval suited to your needs and plan. Checks are periodic, not a promise of immediate notification.

- Track the recruiting organizations and role categories you actually care about. A broad collection of whole-page monitors can generate alerts for unrelated page changes.
- Use a notices-only region when page layout allows it, but test after setup and whenever the page is redesigned.
- Keep the original official pages bookmarked and check them directly, especially as an application deadline approaches. The monitor’s check interval and ability to access the page constrain how quickly a change can be noticed.
- Treat a detected change as a lead, not as proof of a new vacancy. Formatting changes, rotating content or unrelated updates can trigger a comparison.
Verify every alert before applying
Open the linked notice on the issuing authority’s official website. Check the publication date, closing date, eligibility, required documents and application route there. Do not submit personal information or money based only on an alert, an index listing or an unofficial intermediary. NCS says its services are free and provides a helpline for checking suspicious claims of affiliation.

Reliability limits and troubleshooting
Visualping’s guidance identifies login-protected pages, JavaScript-heavy pages, frequently changing content and very large pages as cases that may need extra setup or produce missed changes and noisy alerts. Its guidance says JavaScript rendering is enabled by default and discusses browser actions for login pages. That does not establish compatibility with any particular Indian recruitment portal; test the exact page you intend to monitor.
