Those are vendor-stated specifications, not independent performance measurements, and they do not show that the service loops uploaded tracks or runs unattended 24/7. How a StreamVoodoo-to-YouTube setup would work
YouTube supports encoder-based live streaming, including productions with overlays and external audio or video equipment. The general workflow is to bring the desired live sources into a production, send the finished output through an encoder, and monitor the broadcast in YouTube. YouTube’s help page explains its live-streaming options and current setup requirements: Get started with live streaming.
- Decide whether the show needs live participants. If the channel is only a prerecorded lo-fi loop, StreamVoodoo’s documented live-room features do not establish that it is the loop engine you need. Ask StreamVoodoo directly whether its current product supports unattended prerecorded playback, how long rooms remain available, and what must stay active.
- Prepare the production. For a live session, arrange the participant feeds and audio in the StreamVoodoo room, then add the individual Magic Links to OBS or vMix as browser sources, following the current instructions from the services. The available materials do not provide a complete current StreamVoodoo or OBS configuration guide, so do not assume specific browser-source settings or room controls.
- Create the YouTube broadcast. Verify that the channel is eligible for live streaming, then follow YouTube Studio’s current workflow to create the stream and connect the chosen encoder. YouTube lists a current limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key; check the help page again if your channel needs multiple simultaneous broadcasts.
- Test before going public. Run an unlisted test, check the picture and audio, and listen through participant handoffs or music transitions. For a loop, specifically check the end-to-start seam. Monitor the actual YouTube output after launch; a successful connection in the production room alone does not verify the viewer-facing stream.
Clear music rights before you broadcast
YouTube’s livestream terms say content providers must have all rights needed to make live content available on Google services worldwide, including applicable music rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other rights participants. The terms also address archived content where available. Before streaming, confirm that each track and sample is licensed for the intended live broadcast, territories, archive, and monetization use. Attribution, owning a copy of a track, or choosing not to monetize does not itself grant permission to stream it. - Clear every recording and sample for live use and, if viewers can replay the stream, archiving. Save the license and track metadata.
- Prepare a stable visual and a final mix or playlist. Check transitions, loop seams, consistent loudness, and export settings; these are practical checks, not proof of broadcast reliability.
- Make an unlisted test and inspect the YouTube output, then continue monitoring after launch so you can spot audio, video, or connection problems.
- Ask StreamVoodoo to confirm current room duration and unattended playback support before making it the basis of a 24/7 schedule. Its FAQ excerpt says rooms last one week after the host leaves, which does not establish continuous long-term operation.
