Use Playwright to open the store page, wait for its product content and Bengali web fonts to render, then save a viewport, full-page, or single-element screenshot. The key is not a special Bengali screenshot setting: the browser needs a Bengali-capable font, and the capture should wait until that font is ready.
Install Playwright and its browser
In a JavaScript project, install Playwright and the matching browser binary using the official Playwright installation instructions. The example below assumes the public store page is accessible to you; replace the URL and selector with values for the page you are allowed to capture.

Capture a Bengali ecommerce page
This script waits for a stable content element and for document fonts before taking a full-page PNG. Replace https://REPLACE_WITH_PUBLIC_STORE_URL and REPLACE_WITH_STABLE_CONTENT_SELECTOR with the actual page URL and a selector that identifies meaningful content, such as the product grid.

Waiting for a visible page-specific locator makes the capture depend on the content you actually need. Choose what to capture
Viewport, full page, or one product
- Current viewport: omit

Image type and pixel scale
Playwright supports PNG, JPEG, and WebP screenshots. PNG is a practical choice for crisp interface text; JPEG is lossy, and WebP is available when that format suits the downstream workflow. Use the API’s quality option where applicable to control lossy output.
The screenshot scale option distinguishes CSS pixels from device pixels: scale: 'css' produces one output pixel per CSS pixel, while scale: 'device' uses device pixels and can create a larger image on a high-density display. The Page API documents the exact options for format, quality, clipping, and scale.

Make Bengali text render correctly
A screenshot records what the browser rendered; Playwright does not translate text or supply missing glyphs. Confirm that the page’s CSS font stack includes a font with Bengali glyph coverage and that any web-font file loaded successfully. Where you control the page, Noto Sans Bengali is one possible font family; the Noto project states that its fonts use the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Web fonts are requested separately from the stylesheet, so a page can briefly display fallback text—or blank text—while a font loads. Waiting for document.fonts.ready helps avoid capturing during that pending-font state. Afterward, inspect the image at its intended display size for missing-glyph boxes, clipped vowel marks, or unexpected fallback. A font’s presence alone does not guarantee every word or page will render perfectly.

Keep screenshots comparable
For visual comparisons, keep the host operating system, browser version and mode, viewport, fonts, and relevant settings consistent. Browser rendering can vary with these conditions, including headless mode and hardware; a difference between images may reflect the capture environment rather than a change to the store.
Troubleshoot common capture problems
- Bengali shows as boxes or fallback shapes: check that the selected font has Bengali glyphs, verify that its web-font request succeeded, and wait for
document.fonts.readybefore capturing. - The screenshot misses product content: wait for a stable, visible product-area locator. Use
fullPage: trueif the required content extends below the viewport. - The page looks different on another machine: repeat the capture with the same browser and host configuration, viewport, and fonts.
- The output image is larger than expected: use
scale: 'css'if device-pixel resolution is unnecessary. - The page is blocked or asks for consent or login: use the site’s normal authorized access flow and capture only material you are permitted to access. The correct consent handling and selectors depend on the specific store.
Playwright discourages fixed timeout waits as a production readiness strategy. Prefer a meaningful locator or other condition that reflects the page state you need, and use font readiness for the Bengali text itself.

Does a Bengali font name in CSS guarantee Bengali text will be ready in the screenshot?
No. The browser may still be loading a web-font file. Wait for document.fonts.ready and inspect the saved image for glyph or clipping problems.
