It lets you frame and edit shots with camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects, and poses. IO Interactive’s published notes do not specify the controls for opening the mode or where its images are stored, so those steps cannot be given reliably for PC, PS5, or Xbox without platform-specific instructions.
What Photo Mode does in 007 First Light
IO Interactive introduced Photo Mode in update 1.3.0, describing it as a way to capture Bond, locations, and action from the player’s angle. The official options listed are camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects, and poses. The update notes invite players to “Freeze the moment and frame the perfect shot.” IO Interactive’s update 1.3.0 notes date the release to October 1, 2026; the official support patch notes also document the update.

How to open Photo Mode and save a shot
The official notes reviewed confirm the feature and its editing options, but do not publish a button sequence for opening Photo Mode or instructions for saving an image from it. Because those controls can differ by platform and may depend on the current game version, check the in-game control prompts or the platform-specific instructions rather than relying on an unverified button combination.
Where Photo Mode screenshots are stored
IO Interactive’s published update information does not identify a Photo Mode gallery or a platform-specific save destination for PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. The official PlayStation product page confirms that 007 First Light is listed for PS5, but it does not establish where images made inside Photo Mode are stored. Do not assume that the in-game save destination is the same as the console or PC’s ordinary screenshot capture location.

Why older guides may say there is no Photo Mode
Guides written before update 1.3.0 may correctly describe the game as it existed at launch, but they are outdated on this feature. The update notes describe more than 700 fixes and improvements across the update; that figure is the overall update total, not a Photo Mode-specific count.
