To save a GST portal page with Nimbus Screenshot, capture the visible page or the section you need, then open the arrow beside Save as Image in the editor and choose Save as PDF. Check the PDF before sharing it. If you need an official filing record, first check whether the GST Portal offers a native PDF or download for that particular workflow.
Capture a GST portal page with Nimbus Screenshot
- Open the GST Portal and navigate to the page or content you need. Sign in through the portal as required. Do not include your password, CAPTCHA response, or one-time password in a screenshot you plan to share.
- Start Nimbus Screenshot and select a capture mode suited to the page:
- Visible part of page: captures the content currently in the viewport.
- Capture fragment: selects a section of the page.
- Selected and Scroll: captures a selected region that continues as you scroll.
- Entire page: captures the page length.
Nimbus says the capture opens in its editor. The vendor’s guide documents these options and the PDF export route: Nimbus Screenshot.
- In the editor, open the arrow next to Save as Image and select Save as PDF.
- Open the resulting PDF and verify that the intended content is present, legible, and not cut off before you send or attach it.
Page behavior can vary, especially for authenticated or dynamically loaded content. The documented capture options do not guarantee that every GST page will render perfectly, so treat checking the exported file as part of the process.

Choose between a screenshot PDF and a GST Portal download
A screenshot PDF is useful when you need to show what appeared on screen—for example, to explain a portal problem. It is not automatically an official filing artifact or a substitute for a return, receipt, or structured download.
Check the relevant GST Portal workflow first. The official Invoice Furnishing Facility manual, for example, describes previewing and downloading a submitted GSTR-1/IFF in PDF, with a final watermark. Use a screenshot when reporting a portal issue
GSTN’s Self Service Portal is designed for taxpayers and other stakeholders to report problems encountered while working on the GST Portal, and it supports uploading screenshots of affected pages. In the issue-reporting flow, search by an issue keyword, review suggested FAQs or manual sections, and lodge a complaint if those do not solve the problem. The portal provides a reference number for checking the complaint’s status. See the GSTN Self Service Portal and its Report Issue / Complaint page.
A screenshot can help explain a support problem, but it does not replace the official record for a filing. The live issue form gives examples of issue labels such as “GSTR 1,” “PAYMENTS,” and “GSTR 3-B.”

Protect login and taxpayer information
GST sign-in may involve credentials, a CAPTCHA, and OTP authentication, depending on the situation. Never share a screenshot containing login credentials or a one-time code. Before attaching a capture, inspect it for taxpayer details or other information that should not be disclosed. The GST Portal’s manual for logging in and managing username and password describes its login context.

A CBIC user manual from 2018 described PNG, JPG, or PDF attachments and a combined 5 MB limit for the GST Self Service Portal. That is historical guidance, not a confirmed current limit. Check the live upload form for its accepted formats and size restrictions before preparing or compressing a file. The manual is available at CBIC’s GST Self Service Portal user manual.
