What is confirmed about Mikey and Draken
SNK’s October 8, 2026 announcement adds Manjiro "Mikey" Sano and Ken "Draken" Ryuguji from Tokyo Revengers to Season 3 of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. SNK identifies Sano as the Tokyo Manji Gang’s leader and Ryuguji as its vice leader. The announcement says their CotW versions use character-authentic moves, animations and special intros while fitting the game’s existing systems.

That statement establishes the design intent, but it does not provide motion inputs, button assignments, damage values, frame data, follow-ups or matchup guidance. The official command-list material available at the research date contained references for other fighters, not a verified Sano or Ryuguji list. A trailer is therefore evidence of presentation, not a substitute for a command entry.
Release timing, platforms and editions
Both characters were announced for October 2026 as Season Pass 3 content. The dates below are schedules, not a guarantee that the content is already playable. SNK says DLC timing can change and that prices may differ by storefront.

SNK lists PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X|S editions in both physical and digital formats. Steam and the Epic Games Store are digital-only in the announcement. The Nintendo Switch 2 listing states that Ken Ryuguji’s DLC requires the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves – STANDARD Edition. Arcade Style or Smart Style?
CotW has two control schemes. The scheme changes how you enter a special move; it does not reveal which specials Sano or Ryuguji possess. Use the scheme that lets you reproduce the exact command shown in the current in-game list.

Start in Smart Style if a motion input is preventing you from learning spacing, timing or defensive mechanics. Move to Arcade Style when you want the light/heavy distinctions and conventional motion practice. Neither style is universally stronger; compare the command displayed for the same move and choose the one you can execute consistently.
How to find Sano’s and Ryuguji’s actual commands
Once the DLC is released and your game has received the applicable update, use the game’s own references rather than a copied list. SNK’s web manual documents a Training command-list reference and tools for selecting actions, while the official Tutorial is divided into Beginner, Basic, Expert and Extra lessons.
- Confirm access. Install the Season 3 fighter DLC, start the game and check that the character appears in the selection screen. If the portrait is locked, verify the store entitlement, download status and the edition linked to your account.
- Choose a control scheme. Set Arcade Style or Smart Style before recording commands. A command displayed for one scheme may not describe the physical input used by the other.
- Open Training mode. Select Sano or Ryuguji and open the character Command List or the Training command reference. Record the move’s name, direction, button, strength variant and any listed requirements.
- Separate ordinary and enhanced entries. Write down the standard special first, then its REV Art version, any REV Accel route and any REV Blow follow-up shown by the game. Do not treat a meter-dependent version as a second neutral special.
- Check conditions. Note whether the entry requires a particular REV Meter state, S.P.G. position, grounded or airborne state, proximity, previous attack or timing window.
- Test in Training. Use the move-selection tools to make the dummy stand, block and perform a repeatable action. Confirm that the input registers, the animation matches the list and the follow-up works under the stated condition.
- Save a compact reference. Keep separate notes for Arcade and Smart Style, and mark the game version or patch displayed on your title screen. A later balance update can change a command, property or route without changing the character’s identity.
For platform-specific notation, follow the button labels shown by your controller. A PlayStation face-button label, an Xbox label and a keyboard assignment are different names for the same in-game action; do not publish one platform’s labels as universal.

How CotW’s systems change the way a move works
The following mechanics are confirmed for CotW generally. They explain what to look for beside a Sano or Ryuguji command, but they do not establish that either fighter has a particular special, follow-up or optimal sequence.
REV Arts
REV Arts are stronger versions of special moves. They use the relevant simultaneous face-button input after the special-move motion and consume REV Meter. If the command list shows a REV version, practice the normal and enhanced inputs separately; pressing the extra buttons at the wrong time can produce the ordinary move or no move.
REV Accel
REV Accel allows a player to chain REV Arts into other REV Arts and may lead to a REV Blow follow-up. Treat it as a route with resource and timing requirements, not as a universal cancel from every special. The character’s live command entry and Training display must identify which links are available.
REV Meter and overheat
REV actions build REV Meter, while overheat makes those actions unavailable temporarily. The meter recovers over time and through actions such as landing attacks. If a command appears correct but its enhanced version will not activate, check the meter and overheat state before changing your motion.

REV Guard is a special block that creates more distance than an ordinary block and negates chip damage from enemy special moves. It is a defensive option, not a character-specific attack input. Practice it separately so that an attempted REV command is not confused with a defensive input.
REV Blow
REV Blow has defensive properties and can be used on the ground or in midair. The official manual says S.P.G. must be active. If a character’s command list includes a REV Blow route, first put S.P.G. in the required active position, then repeat the listed input in the stated grounded or airborne state.
S.P.G.
At the start of a match, you choose S.P.G.’s position at the start, middle or end of the health gauge. While S.P.G. is active, attack strength increases and REV Blows become available. Record your chosen position when testing a character: the same command can be unavailable simply because your active zone is elsewhere.

Just Defense and Hyper Defense
Just Defense and Hyper Defense are precisely timed defensive actions. SNK lists benefits that include small health recovery, REV Meter reduction and a chance to guard cancel. They reward timing practice, but they do not replace the normal block while you are learning a new fighter.

Braking can cancel certain special-move animations to reduce recovery. Feints can threaten a move without completing it and can reduce recovery after normal attacks. Whether Sano or Ryuguji can brake or feint a particular move must be read from that fighter’s command entries; do not assume that a mechanic applies to every animation.
A practical learning routine for Mikey or Draken
Use this sequence for either character after the command list is live. It keeps execution, resources and decision-making separate.
- Map the basic buttons. In Training, identify standing, crouching and jumping normals, then confirm how light and heavy versions are shown in your selected style.
- Learn one neutral special. Practice the listed input from the left side of the screen until it registers ten times, then repeat from the right. This catches a motion that only works in one direction.
- Add the other listed specials. Test each move without REV Meter first. Note whether direction, button strength or airborne status changes the result.
- Layer in REV Arts. Refill or reset the meter, then practice the simultaneous face-button requirement. Watch for overheat and record how long the action is unavailable.
- Test routes, not guesses. If the list shows REV Accel or a REV Blow follow-up, begin from the exact preceding move and verify the timing in both hit and block situations available in Training.
- Set S.P.G. deliberately. Try the character with S.P.G. at the start, middle and end positions. Mark which tests require the active zone and do not mix those results with ordinary neutral tests.
- Add defense. Practice REV Guard, Just Defense and Hyper Defense against a repeatable dummy attack. Learn the distance and timing before using them in a match.
- Build a short match plan. Choose one safe way to approach, one punish or counter-hit starter, one resource-spending route and one defensive escape. Expand only after those actions are reliable.
This routine produces a usable reference without claiming a tier ranking or frame advantage. Those conclusions require verified live-game testing and can change with patches.

The character is unavailable
Check the release date for your region, confirm that the base game is installed, and verify that the Season 3 entitlement belongs to the account currently signed in. On Switch 2, the official listing requires the Standard Edition. A bundle can own the pass without having downloaded the individual fighter, so check the platform’s downloadable-content management screen.

The move works in one direction only
Repeat the input from both sides in Training. Look for an incomplete directional sequence, an accidental jump or a button pressed before the motion finishes. Use the on-screen input history if your Training layout provides it.
The normal move appears instead of the REV version
Confirm that REV Meter is available, that the fighter is not overheated and that the simultaneous face-button input is being pressed after the listed motion. Test with the dummy idle so hit-stop or block reactions do not hide the result.

REV Blow will not come out
Check that S.P.G. is active and that you are using the listed grounded or airborne state. If your health has moved outside the selected S.P.G. zone, the command may be correct but the condition inactive.
Smart Style and Arcade Style seem inconsistent
Switching styles changes the physical input method. Reopen the command reference after changing schemes and keep separate notes. Do not press a dedicated Special Move button while attempting to reproduce an Arcade motion unless the current list explicitly calls for both.
A trailer move cannot be reproduced
Do not infer a command from an animation. The scene may show a cinematic intro, a story-only action, a REV version, a follow-up or a move that requires a state you have not created. Use the released character entry and Training conditions as the authority.
What is not yet possible to state responsibly
At the October 13, 2026 research timestamp, there was no verified official command data for Sano or Ryuguji. That means a responsible guide cannot list their special-move names, button sequences, frame advantage, damage, invulnerability, best combos or relative strength. It also cannot say whether Mikey is easier, faster or stronger than Draken. Those are character-specific claims that require the released command entries and, for performance claims, reproducible testing on a stated patch.
SNK’s announcement does identify the shared Episodes of South Town story: Krauser, the Sacred Scrolls and a rescue of Rock are involved, with individual Arcade Mode premises for the two guests. That context explains why their moves are presented as Tokyo Revengers adaptations, but it does not supply gameplay inputs.
How to keep your reference accurate after launch
- Write the platform and control scheme at the top of your notes.
- Record the game version or patch before testing.
- Copy command symbols from the in-game list instead of translating them from a video.
- Mark resource requirements such as REV Meter, overheat and S.P.G.
- Retest routes after balance updates or control changes.
- Distinguish official documentation from your own Training observations.
Following those checks lets you build a genuine move guide when the characters are selectable, without presenting an announcement trailer or another fighter’s inputs as fact.
