To help Alfred hit Maria during the “Call Cat” phase, place his carrier beside the red crack in the wall, then call him toward the next window ahead of the moving red glow—not the window where the glow is now. Repeat until Alfred lands three hits, then finish the fight when Maria returns to the open area. This sequence comes from an unofficial walkthrough; other guides describe different targeting cues.
How to use Call Cat against Maria
The steps below follow the red-window method described in the Resonant Codex walkthrough. The source is unofficial, so treat the visible cues and active objective in your encounter as the final guide.

- Place Alfred’s carrier beside the red crack in the wall. The walkthrough says this lets Alfred enter the space behind the wall.
- Track the moving red glow. Watch which direction it is travelling between the windows.
- Call Alfred to the next window in the glow’s path. Do not target the window where the glow is currently visible. Use Call Cat as the glow moves toward the next one.
- Repeat until Alfred hits Maria three times. When Maria returns to the open area, resume the fight and finish her.
What to do if your encounter looks different
Walkthroughs do not describe this phase consistently. One account directs Alfred through the wall using illuminated grates as cues; another mentions both grates and a shifting glow. The available guides do not establish whether this reflects different quest states, game versions, or guide errors.
If your objective or prompts do not match the red-window sequence, follow the active in-game prompt and the cues shown in your encounter. Do not assume the window method applies to every player or quest state.
