Use an AI agent to inspect a booking page, verify that the displayed fare explicitly includes ₹ or INR, and then capture the viewport, fare card, or full page with Playwright. Do not assume a page shows rupees because the site is Indian: if the rendered fare has no visible currency label, stop rather than treating the price as verified.
What you need before capturing a booking page
- A browser automation setup using Playwright and an AI agent that can interact with the page. The available documentation supports the workflow below, but does not establish a tested Playwright version or a particular agent framework; use the version and framework installed in your environment.
- The exact booking page or search results you want to document. For a reproducible capture, have the route, travel dates, passenger details, and any required login or search state ready.
- A screenshot output choice: the visible viewport, a specific fare element, or the whole scrollable page.
This guide does not assume that any named airline or booking site’s current interface offers a particular currency control. Verify the actual rendered page in your browser session before saving the image.

Inspect the page and verify the fare currency
- Open the intended booking page in the browser session controlled by your agent.
- Ask the agent to inspect the page’s accessibility snapshot and identify the search controls and visible fare text. Playwright describes accessibility snapshots as structured representations of accessible page elements that help locate and interact with controls. See Playwright’s accessibility snapshot documentation.
- Navigate only as far as needed to show the relevant itinerary, search results, or fare. After navigation or another state-changing action, take a fresh snapshot: references from an earlier page state may no longer apply.
- Check the visible fare itself for an explicit rupee sign (₹) or INR label. If neither appears, do not infer the currency from the site’s domain, country, or audience. Stop and report that this page’s displayed currency could not be verified.
- Before capture, confirm that the image will retain enough context to identify the fare: route or itinerary, dates where relevant, and its currency label.
Accessibility snapshots are useful for finding controls and reading structured page content. The screenshot serves a different purpose: checking what a person can actually see, including layout, labels, clipping, and overlays.
Choose the right screenshot scope

Playwright documents PNG, JPEG, and WebP output, plus CSS-pixel and device-pixel scale settings. CSS-pixel scale is the default; device-pixel output can provide higher resolution. Capture with Playwright
The following Python examples use the Playwright page API. They assume you already have a live page object in the browser session and have completed the relevant search. The official API documents viewport, full-page, and locator screenshots.
Capture the visible viewport

Inspect the rendered page and confirm the selector identifies the intended fare card before saving. Do not combine an element screenshot with full_page=True; use one capture mode at a time.
Review the saved image
- Is the fare legible and accompanied by ₹ or INR?
- Can a reader identify the itinerary or route and the relevant travel date?
- Is any text clipped at the image edge or hidden by a banner, dialog, or floating widget?
- For a fare-card capture, is enough page context retained to identify what the card refers to?
- For full-page output, is the image still readable at its intended viewing size?
If the capture omits important context, choose a wider scope or adjust the page state and take a new screenshot. Use the accessibility snapshot to locate and interact with controls; use the image to confirm their visual presentation.

Common problems and fixes
The fare has no ₹ or INR label
The displayed currency is not verified. Do not infer it from the site’s location or domain. Check the page’s actual controls or help information, change the setting only if the site provides one, then inspect the rendered fare again.

The agent cannot find a control after navigating
Take a fresh accessibility snapshot after navigation or other page changes. A reference derived from an earlier snapshot may be stale.
The screenshot misses a fare below the fold
Use a full-page capture when the entire scrollable results page matters, or target the fare element if only that card is needed. Full-page mode and element targeting are separate capture choices.
The fare card image is unreadable or lacks context
Capture a larger scope, such as the viewport, or adjust the page so the fare and its itinerary details are visible together. If the viewport clips the price, do not use the clipped image as verification.

The image looks different from the page structure the agent read
Use the screenshot to review the visual state, and refresh the accessibility snapshot if the page changed. Structured accessibility information and a visual capture answer different questions; check both before relying on the result.

Air India announced eZ Booking on 22 January 2025, describing a feature in which customers could provide an itinerary to an AI agent on its website; the announcement said launch availability was exclusive to Maharaja Club members. That is a dated launch description, not confirmation of present availability or a screenshot workflow. Air India’s announcement.
MakeMyTrip announced a GenAI trip-planning assistant on 7 August 2025, saying its beta was live in English and Hindi and describing help across stages of travel. The announcement does not establish that a booking page shows rupee fares or explain how to capture one. MakeMyTrip’s announcement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a screenshot prove that the fare is payable in rupees?
No. It records what was displayed at capture time; it does not verify checkout currency, availability, or the final amount charged.
Can I use this workflow for a page that requires sign-in?
Yes, if your browser session is already authorized to access the page and you comply with the booking site’s terms. The screenshot steps themselves do not bypass authentication.
