You can avoid signing in to YouTube inside CameraFi Live by using a manual RTMP destination—if your installed version offers one. Get both the YouTube Live server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio, then enter them in CameraFi’s corresponding RTMP fields. YouTube documents this server-URL-plus-key setup for encoders, and CameraFi’s Android guide lists RTMP as a platform/server choice; the available CameraFi material does not verify the current mobile screen names or exact tap sequence.
What this method does—and what it does not
CameraFi Live has a documented account-connected route: choose YouTube and sign in. Manual RTMP configuration is a different approach: YouTube supplies connection details, and the encoder uses them to send the broadcast. YouTube’s encoder instructions call for both a Live server URL and a stream key, not just the key (YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder).

CameraFi’s Android beginner guide lists RTMP among its platform/server choices (CameraFi Live Guide for Beginners). That supports looking for an RTMP destination in the app, but does not establish a current mobile YouTube key-entry sequence. CameraFi’s FAQ also indexes a YouTube RTMP URL-and-key tutorial, but describes it as a PC workflow—not verified instructions for the mobile app (CameraFi tutorials and FAQ).
Accordingly, the steps below identify what to obtain and where the values belong without guessing CameraFi button labels. If your app does not show RTMP or custom RTMP destination fields, do not put the key into an unrelated field; consult CameraFi’s current in-app help or support.

Check YouTube Live access
CameraFi’s July 11, 2025 guide says YouTube Live must be enabled, account verification is required at least once, and activation may take up to 24 hours (CameraFi’s YouTube Live guide). These are the guide’s statements; check your current YouTube account status before a scheduled broadcast, since an activation delay could prevent you from going live on time.
Create or select the YouTube stream
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room. Create a stream or select the one you intend to use.
- Find that stream’s current server URL and stream key in YouTube’s streaming settings. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses both values; do not assume the key by itself is all an encoder needs.
- Keep the key private. It functions as a connection credential: do not post it in a public description, chat, or screenshot, and do not send it to someone who should not be able to broadcast to your stream.
Enter the YouTube RTMP details in CameraFi Live
- Open CameraFi Live and look for an RTMP or custom RTMP destination among its platform/server choices. CameraFi’s Android guide lists RTMP, but the available documentation does not confirm the current labels or screen flow for every app version.
- If the app presents separate fields, enter YouTube’s server URL in the server/URL field and the stream key in the key field. Use the values for the stream you selected in YouTube Studio.
- Review the destination and broadcast settings shown by your installed app, then start the broadcast. Confirm in YouTube Live Control Room that the incoming stream is detected before relying on it for a scheduled event.
If you cannot find matching RTMP fields, stop rather than entering the key into a different setting. Check CameraFi’s current in-app help or contact CameraFi support for instructions for your app version and operating system. The material available here does not establish that the same manual RTMP flow exists on Android and iOS.

For the account-connected route, see CameraFi’s guide. The manual route is useful only when the installed app actually provides an RTMP destination and fields for the YouTube details.

- YouTube does not detect an incoming stream: Check that you copied both the server URL and key from the intended YouTube stream, and that each is in its matching field. YouTube’s encoder instructions require both values.
- There is no RTMP option or no place for a key: The current mobile entry flow is not verified here. Check CameraFi’s in-app help or support for the installed version; do not use a PC tutorial as proof of mobile steps.
- You cannot start a YouTube broadcast: Check whether YouTube Live is enabled and whether your account has completed verification. CameraFi’s July 2025 guide says activation may take up to 24 hours after enabling Live.
- You are unsure whether the app is connected to the intended broadcast: Compare the selected YouTube stream in Live Control Room with the stream for which you copied the URL and key. Select the matching stream and retrieve its details again if necessary.
