Schedule an upcoming event in YouTube Studio, connect an encoder to that event, check its preview in Live Control Room, and start sending the feed when you are ready. Scheduling helps devotees find the stream and request a reminder; it does not start an endless feed by itself. A nonstop aarti channel needs a source and encoder or cloud service that keep transmitting, plus a plan for outages, recording, and music rights.
What a scheduled live stream does—and does not do
A scheduled stream creates an upcoming YouTube event that viewers can find ahead of time and use to request a reminder. At the scheduled time, an encoder or service still needs to send video and audio to YouTube. Scheduling alone does not play aarti recordings, start the encoder, or automatically restore the feed after an interruption. For a channel intended to run around the clock, decide how the content will be supplied, what will keep sending it, who will monitor it, and how you will recover from a dropped connection or power failure. Google’s API documentation discusses 24/7 feeds as a use case; it does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Prepare the channel and aarti content
Enable live streaming in advance
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable access before announcing a launch. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming setup help.

Confirm you have the rights to everything in the feed
Clear the rights for each recording, performance, backing track, image, and any venue or broadcast permissions that apply. The fact that a song or event is religious does not itself grant permission to stream a particular recording. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a match may replace the feed with a placeholder, and continued use can lead to a temporary interruption or termination. Licensed material may still require the rights holder to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. The exact rights needed depend on the source material, rights holders, and intended territories. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.
YouTube’s livestream terms say: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” Read the YouTube livestream terms and obtain appropriate advice if your permissions are unclear.

Schedule and start the YouTube event
- Open the scheduling controls. In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go live, then open the Manage tab and schedule a stream. Choose the event’s title, description, visibility, and other available settings. YouTube’s interface labels can change; consult its encoder workflow if the layout differs.
- Choose an encoder. You can send the feed using supported software or hardware. Hardware is not mandatory for every channel; YouTube presents hardware encoders as an option and recommends professional-grade hardware for higher-production events. See YouTube’s encoder overview.
- Connect the scheduled event. In the event’s stream settings, copy the stream URL and stream key into the encoder. Treat the key like a password: someone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your event. Do not publish it or share it in a public group.
- Start the encoder early and check the preview. Confirm that video and audio appear in Live Control Room, then check the aarti feed for picture, sound, and continuity. YouTube recommends testing the setup, checking that a local recording is growing, and confirming viewers can access the stream. Use the current YouTube live-stream settings guidance for the encoder settings applicable to your selected format.
- Go live from the event. Once the preview and content are ready, start the event using YouTube’s Go live control. Starting the encoder sends the feed; check the event itself rather than assuming that a scheduled start time has launched it.
Keep a scheduled aarti feed running
A nonstop stream depends on a continuing content source and a transmission path to YouTube. With a locally run encoder, a computer or dedicated device, power, and a reliable internet connection must remain available. Assign someone to monitor the feed and define who will restart it or switch to a fallback if the source or connection fails. YouTube’s live-stream tips cover testing and monitoring; they do not promise automatic restart after an outage.

Protect the replay and viewers who join late
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Its DVR pause-and-rewind feature may also be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. If a replay matters, keep an independent local recording and consider ending the broadcast and scheduling shorter sessions rather than relying on one indefinitely long archive. Check the current archive guidance and DVR guidance.
For devotees joining after the stream begins, DVR may let them rewind when available, but it is not a dependable substitute for a replay plan on a very long broadcast. If you need a complete recording, verify the local recording is being saved while the event is live.

Troubleshoot common interruptions
- The scheduled event is visible, but no video arrives. Scheduling does not start transmission. Start the encoder, confirm it has the correct event’s stream URL and key, and check for an incoming preview in Live Control Room.
- The preview is missing or has no sound. Verify the encoder is sending the intended video and audio sources, then check the local output and Live Control Room preview before going live. YouTube recommends testing the setup in advance.
- The feed stops after a network or power problem. Restore the source, internet connection, or power, then check whether the encoder is still sending and whether the event is receiving it. Have an assigned operator follow the restart or failover procedure; do not assume YouTube will restart the feed automatically.
- YouTube interrupts the stream after a content match. Review the rights for the matched recording or other material, obtain any needed permission, and confirm whether the rights holder must allowlist the channel in Content ID before resuming.
- The stream is live but there is no complete replay. A broadcast longer than 12 hours may not be archived, and DVR rewind may be restricted. Use the independent local recording and shorter sessions if a complete replay is important.
