Before you start: confirm which details changed
This guidance applies to organization developer accounts. The process differs for personal accounts.

- D‑U‑N‑S number changed: Use a new identity payments profile containing the updated number. Google does not allow you to change the D‑U‑N‑S number on the existing organization identity profile.
- Organization name or address changed: Update the organization’s record with Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) so it matches the information associated with your developer account. Google may later request re-verification. [Keeping your developer account information up to date]

Update the D‑U‑N‑S number in Play Console
The account owner needs to complete the identity update. Creating or verifying a payments profile alone does not finish the change: the verified profile must also be linked to the developer account. [Update developer identity details managed by a Google payments profile]

- Check the D&B record. Confirm that the organization’s D‑U‑N‑S record and, if applicable, its name and address reflect the current business details.
- Open the identity update flow. Sign in to Play Console and go to Developer account > About you. Choose Update details or Update organization details, depending on the label shown.
- Create or select a payments profile. Choose a profile that contains the new D‑U‑N‑S number, or create one with the updated organization information.
- Complete any requested verification. Google may ask for identity documents or organization details. Check the Account details page for progress, requested actions, and document-upload instructions. Google says it sends the review outcome by email.
- Link and save the profile. From About you, link the verified profile to the developer account, then select Confirm and save.
Make sure you are changing the identity profile
Play Console uses a Google payments profile to verify developer identity. Developers who earn money may also have a merchant payments profile for earnings; the identity and merchant profiles can be the same or different. Check the identity profile under Developer account > About you rather than assuming the profile used for sales proceeds controls the organization’s legal identity. The organization name, address, and D‑U‑N‑S details shown in Play Console are read-only there because they come from the Google payments profile. [Google Play Help]

If the name or address changed too
Make sure D&B has the updated organization name or address. Google may send a re-verification notice by email and show an alert in Play Console. For same-country changes, editing name or address details on an existing payments profile may be available; the D‑U‑N‑S number itself still requires a new identity profile. Respond to Play Console alerts and deadlines
If Google flags a mismatch, the account owner may receive an email and see a banner in Play Console with a deadline. Follow the requested steps by the displayed date. Google warns that an unresolved organization verification mismatch can lead to account restriction and app removal. [Required information to create a Play Console developer account]
If the D‑U‑N‑S change cannot be resolved through the profile workflow, Google’s account requirements guidance directs developers to contact Google Play Support. The official instructions do not guarantee a review time or a particular outcome for an individual account.
