First find out which company bills your Paramount+ or Max subscription. Watching through an Apple device or Roku does not necessarily mean Apple or Roku handles payment. Once you identify the biller, make the change in that company’s subscription controls or contact its support team.
Find out who bills your subscription
Check the subscription or account screen in the streaming service, then compare it with the subscription list or purchase history for Apple or Roku and the payment statement. For Max, the subscription screen can identify a third-party biller; Max also recommends asking your internet, mobile, or TV provider whether it bills the account. The app or device you use to watch does not, by itself, identify the biller.

- Apple: Search your email for an Apple receipt and check which Apple Account it names. Apple’s subscription guidance explains how to review subscriptions and receipts.
- Roku: Check Roku subscription management and your Roku purchase history. Roku recommends checking other Roku accounts if you cannot find a charge.
- Max: Review the subscription information in Max to see whether the biller is Max or a third party. Max explains the available billing routes in its billing and subscription help.
- Payment statement: A charge descriptor can help narrow down the biller, but confirm it against the account or purchase history before changing or canceling anything.
Use the controls for the company that bills you
If Apple bills the subscription
Use Apple Account subscription controls to manage an Apple-billed subscription. If it does not appear, check the receipt for the Apple Account used to buy it and look for receipts in any other Apple Accounts you use. If you cannot find an Apple receipt, check your payment statement and contact the company named as the biller.

That is guidance for Apple services; it does not establish a Paramount+-specific transfer process. Do not assume that changing Apple settings transfers Paramount+ billing. For Paramount+, follow the biller shown on your account or receipt, or contact Paramount+ support for account-specific instructions.

If Roku bills and manages the subscription
Manage a Roku-billed subscription at my.roku.com/subscriptions, or select the app on your Roku home screen and open its subscription controls. Roku’s instructions distinguish subscriptions it bills and manages from subscriptions billed directly by the streaming service: direct subscriptions must be changed with that service.
Roku says access to a Roku-managed subscription generally continues through the current billing period after you turn off auto-renew. Check the cancellation confirmation for the status and end date that apply to your account.

If a TV, internet, or mobile provider bills Max
Use the provider identified in Max’s subscription screen. Max says provider-billed subscriptions are managed through that provider’s website, help center, or support team. For a subscription billed directly by Max, use the available controls in your Max account to change the plan or payment method, or cancel.

If a provider or Apple bills Paramount+
The available official guidance does not establish a Paramount+-specific transfer sequence for Apple or TV-provider billing. Contact the company shown as the biller and ask how it handles a plan change, cancellation, or move to a different billing arrangement. If the account screen does not identify the biller, contact Paramount+ support with the account and charge details.

Use Roku charge descriptions as clues, not proof
Roku gives “Roku for CBS Interactive” as an example of a Paramount+ charge and “Roku for Warner Media Global Digital Services LLC” as an example of a Max charge. A charge naming Paramount+ directly can indicate a direct-provider subscription. These descriptions are clues, not a substitute for checking the matching Roku account and purchase history; confirm who bills you before making a change.
Confirm the change and check for overlapping subscriptions
- Make the update or cancellation through the biller’s account controls or support team.
- Check the account for a confirmation and the resulting plan, renewal, or cancellation status.
- If the subscription is missing from the account you checked, look for another Apple Account, Roku account, or direct service account before assuming billing has stopped.
- Before starting a new paid subscription, verify the existing subscription’s end date with its biller and check that the new plan will not overlap with another active subscription.
Do not assume that Paramount+ or Max will automatically reconcile subscriptions billed by different companies. Apple’s advice to cancel one overlapping subscription applies to Apple services; for Paramount+ or Max, verify each billing relationship with the relevant billers.

Why billing route matters
The same streaming service can be billed by different companies, and the available controls depend on that arrangement. Max lists region-specific direct and third-party billing routes, so use the current subscription screen and the biller’s instructions for your account rather than relying on a menu path or process that may not apply in your region.
