- Update the game. Install patch v2.0 or later and check that Most Wanted is available on your local build. PlayStation announced the update for October 1, 2026 globally, with October 2 availability in some territories, including parts of Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
- Open Most Wanted and play runs. The official Ghost of Yōtei page describes runs and unlockable rewards in the mode. A September 30, 2026 report quoting Sucker Punch gives the broad instruction: “Unlock them by playing Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted starting October 1.”
- Check the specific reward requirement. Review the Most Wanted rewards or vendor screens for the crossover appearance you want. Public guidance does not establish a per-set bounty, required run count or currency price.
- If a reward is missing, verify availability. Confirm the patch is installed and the mode has rolled out in your territory, then play Most Wanted and check its rewards again.
How the crossover rewards differ from other gear
Digital Deluxe bonuses
The Digital Deluxe announcement lists The Snake armor set, an alternate dye for the starting armor, horse and saddle cosmetics, a charm, a gold Sword Kit and early Traveler’s Maps. These are edition bonuses, not the four newer franchise-inspired themes.

Complete Edition Sakai Armor early access
PlayStation’s September 2026 announcement said that people who preordered the Complete Edition or its upgrade by September 30 would receive early access to Sakai Armor on October 1, without unlocking it through Most Wanted. That was a time-limited early-unlock condition; the stated eligibility window has passed.
New Game+ cosmetics
New Game+ is a separate system that PlayStation says unlocks after the main story. It adds Ghost Flowers to exchange with a vendor for more than 30 cosmetics, including armor sets and weapon dyes. That currency and catalog should not be assumed to apply to Most Wanted crossover rewards.

What is not confirmed about individual unlocks?
The reviewed public guidance does not provide an item-by-item checklist showing the bounty, boss, number of runs or currency cost for each crossover theme. Community reports differ or remain vague on those details, so do not rely on a claim that one run, a particular boss or a fixed currency amount guarantees a specific outfit. Use the requirement shown in your current in-game reward or vendor screen.
