Enter 1993 on the combination lock at the Jane’s Garden shed. Inside is the Community Garden Key, which opens the locked gate. The route then continues toward Commercial Road and Mr. Stewart’s house.

Step-by-step solution

This puzzle comes up during the Zoe’s Rounds section of Silent Hill: Townfall. The route to Mr. Stewart’s house goes through the St. Amelia Community Gardens. The gate is locked, and its key sits inside a shed that has a four-digit combination lock. (VGC and Polygon guides agree on the solution.)

  1. Find the shed marked Jane’s Garden in the Community Gardens.
  2. Look through the garden plots for Jane Chalmers’s plaque. It gives the year 1993.
  3. Enter 1993 on the shed’s lock and open the door.
  4. Take the Community Garden Key from inside.
  5. Use the key on the locked gate and continue toward Commercial Road and Mr. Stewart’s house.

Where the code comes from

VGC says that examining the shed’s sign identifies Jane Chalmers. It also says her plaque records that she won the Community Spirit Award in 1993. That year is the lock code. A third independent walkthrough, from Space4Games, also confirms 1993 and the key’s role.

Common mix-ups

  • The code opens the shed, not the gate. The gate needs the separate Community Garden Key found inside.
  • If the lock won’t open, check that you read the plaque for Jane Chalmers and not another garden’s marker.
