Book of Hours does not have a verified universal room-unlock cheat code. Opening rooms is part of the game’s progression loop: study books, develop skills and soul elements, and use suitable items or assistance to meet each room’s aspect requirements. If you want exact recipes, a community guide lists them; separate hidden-item clicks are optional secrets, not room-opening cheats.
How do you unlock rooms in Book of Hours?
Book of Hours is a narrative crafting RPG from Weather Factory, set in a 1930s world of occult secrets. You restore Hush House by studying books, crafting esoteric items, helping visitors and choosing a personal history. The game is single-player and combat-free, with nine Wisdoms and nine Elements of the Soul at the heart of its systems. (Steam store)

Room challenges call for matching aspects. Treat each locked room as a problem to solve with the tools you have developed, not as a door waiting for a universal password. Read books to advance skills, build up useful soul elements, and draw on appropriate items and assistance. How to meet room aspect requirements
- Inspect the challenge. Identify the aspects and values the room requires, then check which of your available cards, items, skills, soul elements or assistants can contribute.
- Use the resources you have. Try suitable assistance and items rather than assuming every room has one fixed solution. Community discussions also describe equipping assistants with appropriate resources, but those accounts are anecdotal; use the challenge itself and a recipe reference for exact requirements.
- Build your options if you fall short. Study books to develop skills, seek useful resources in accessible rooms, and craft or improve items where possible. Revisit the challenge after your available aspects change.
- Look up the specific recipe if needed. The Steam Community guide “How to Meet the Aspect Requirements: a Comprehensive Recipe Guide [UPDATED]” says it covers room unlocking, book reading, ink crafting, skill upgrades, writing history and completion, and that it is updated for House of Light. Its recipes are the guide author’s; check the entry’s current version and whether it applies to your DLC before relying on exact values.
Why a card or item may not work at a workstation
Workstations in Hush House are used for activities such as studying books, crafting, breaking down some items and evolving soul elements. Their allowed actions depend on the workstation’s principles and available slots. A card or item that is valid at one station may not fit another station’s action or inputs. The community-maintained workstation reference describes these constraints; check it against your current game version before relying on exact slot details.

What to do when you are stuck
- Can’t open a room? Focus on the aspects listed by its challenge and find ways to improve your available assistance, items, skills or soul elements.
- Can’t make progress from books? Keep studying with the relevant tools and workstation; book study and skill development are part of the wider loop, not a separate cheat system.
- An action will not start? Check the workstation’s principles, action and available slots before changing your plan.
- Need an exact threshold or recipe? Consult the relevant entry in the Steam guide and confirm its DLC/version coverage rather than applying a recipe from a different challenge.
Are there cheats in Book of Hours?
The sources cited here do not establish a general cheat code that unlocks rooms or bypasses their aspect requirements. Hidden clicks do exist, but they reveal particular items in particular places; they are secrets, not a substitute for progression. There is no verified basis here for recommending console settings or save edits as a room-unlock method.
