Pixel Lineage does not currently document races as an evolution tier. In the Roblox experience listed as Pixel Lineage, you roll a race in the Castle before choosing a Talent and Base Class. The progression players usually mean by “evolve” is class progression: Base Class → Super Class → Ultra Class. Super becomes available after Act 1 Floor 10 and the Act 2 Trainer’s Shrine sequence; Ultra requires an Ultra Sigil.
The public Roblox listing describes Pixel Lineage as “a fast turn-based roguelike RPG game, it is not meant to be easy” and directs players to in-game information. Its accessible description does not publish the race roster, race odds, passive effects, or complete class tree, so exact names and bonuses should be read from the live Castle, Encyclopedia, and shrine interfaces.

First, separate race rolls from class evolution
The phrase “evolve a race” causes the most confusion because Pixel Lineage uses two different character systems.
- Race: a passive choice rolled in the Castle during character creation. The race guide places this roll before Talent and Base Class selection.
- Class: the combat progression that begins with a Base Class, continues into a Super branch, and later reaches an Ultra form.
A race roll does not, according to the available guides, turn into a Super or Ultra race. If the live game uses a race-upgrade feature in a later update, the Castle or Encyclopedia should show it explicitly; the documented progression does not.

How to unlock and roll a race
Race selection happens before you begin the normal class journey. Use the following order rather than trying to unlock a race through Acts or the Trainer’s Shrine.
- Enter the Castle. The race guide identifies the Castle as the location for race rolls. If you are already in an expedition, return to the character-creation or hub interface where the Castle option is available.
- Open the Race roll screen. The screen should identify the action as a race roll and show the available Race spins or rolls. The public guide does not establish a universal spin price, a guaranteed-rarity rule, or whether unused spins persist between sessions, so rely on the value displayed by your current client.
- Roll and read the result exactly as printed. Record the race name shown by the game instead of relying on a wiki spelling or a video title. Similar-looking names and update-era additions can make third-party lists stale.
- Check the live Encyclopedia. Use the in-game Encyclopedia entry for the race to inspect its passive description. The guide specifically recommends checking the live entry because published passive summaries and odds are not verified.
- Continue to Talent selection. Once the race screen is complete, proceed to Talent selection. Race and Talent are separate choices.
- Choose a Base Class. Base Class selection follows Talent. Your eventual Super and Ultra options depend on this class path, not on a documented race evolution.
If the interface offers a confirm, lock, or reroll button, read its warning before selecting it. The available material does not establish whether a reroll replaces the current race immediately, consumes all stored spins, or preserves a previously locked result.

Because the source does not publish verified probabilities, do not describe one of these races as common, rare, legendary, or mythic unless your current Castle screen supplies that label. “Mythic race” is a search phrase used by players, not a confirmed universal tier in the available documentation.
How to decide whether to keep a race or spin again
There is no officially documented “best race” in the available material. Make the decision from the information your client actually shows.
Compare the displayed passive with your build
Read the full Encyclopedia text, including conditions, cooldowns, resource changes, and whether the effect applies to every run or only a specific action. A passive that looks powerful in isolation may not fit the Base Class or Talent you intend to use.

Consider the Base Class you plan to play
Race and class are independent systems, but their effects can still interact in practice. Decide whether you want a race that supports your intended damage, defense, speed, resource, or utility plan only after you know the exact in-game wording. Do not substitute an unverified wiki summary for the description on your character.

Count your remaining Race spins
Use the number shown on the Castle screen. Since the guides do not establish the cost, refresh behavior, or persistence rules for spins, avoid assuming that a later update, new character, or failed roll will restore them. If the game offers a confirmation dialog, capture the displayed cost and consequence before committing.
Keep a defensible result
If the passive clearly supports your planned build and the interface does not promise a free or guaranteed replacement, keeping the result is the safer choice. Reroll only when the new roll has a clear, documented advantage for your goal; chasing an unverified rarity label is not a reliable strategy.
The documented class evolution path
Class progression is the system that has a documented evolution sequence. The class guide reports six Base Classes, three Super branches per Base (18 Super Classes total), and an Ultra tier requiring an Ultra Sigil. Those counts are guide-reported rather than independently verified official statistics, and most branch names are not published in the source.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Tier | How it is obtained | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Base Class | Selected during character creation after Race and Talent. | The guide reports six Base Classes. |
| Super Class | Reach Act 2, vote for the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card, interact with the shrine, then choose a branch. | Three Super branches are reported for each Base, for 18 total. |
| Ultra Class | Progress after Super and use an Ultra Sigil. | The guide reports 18 Ultra Classes, but does not provide a complete verified roster. |
How to unlock a Super Class
Follow this sequence in order. The shrine choice is not part of race creation and does not require a special race according to the available guides.

- Choose and retain a Base Class. Your Base determines which Super branches the Trainer’s Shrine will present. The available sources do not publish every Base or branch name reliably, so use the names shown by your client.
- Clear Floor 10 of Act 1. The class guide identifies Act 1 Floor 10 as the progression gate. Finishing an earlier floor is not enough.
- Reach Act 2. After the Act 1 requirement, enter Act 2 rather than returning to the initial character-creation flow. The guide describes Super selection as an Act 2 progression.
- Vote for the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card. The guide says the path card is selected through a vote. If several cards are offered, choose the one identified as the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card.
- Interact with the Trainer’s Shrine. Finding the card is not the final selection. Approach and interact with the shrine after the path card has been chosen.
- Review the three displayed Super branches. The guide reports three branches for each Base. Compare the descriptions in the live shrine UI rather than relying on an incomplete online class tree.
- Select one branch. Confirm only after checking the branch description, requirements, and any warning about permanence. The available guide establishes the branch decision but does not document a universal respec or reversal method.
How to unlock an Ultra Class
Ultra is a later class tier, not a second race roll. The documented requirement is an Ultra Sigil after Super progression.
- Complete the Super selection. The guide places Ultra after the Base-to-Super decision.
- Obtain an Ultra Sigil. The source identifies the item as required but does not establish a single acquisition route, drop rate, seller, or cost. Use the current in-game objective or item description for those details.
- Open the Ultra progression interface. Check the character, class, shrine, or item prompt that appears after the Sigil is available. The public guide does not specify one universal menu label.
- Read the matching Ultra option. An additional player article describes six Base Classes leading to three Super branches and matching Ultra forms, but the complete names and requirements remain subject to the live UI.
- Confirm the upgrade. Make sure the Sigil is in the correct inventory and review any confirmation text before spending it. Do not assume that a Sigil can be transferred between characters or refunded; neither behavior is established by the available sources.
How race, Base, Super, and Ultra choices fit together
The safest way to plan a character is to treat the systems as a sequence with different decisions at each stage.
- Race: roll in the Castle and inspect the passive.
- Talent: choose the Talent offered after the race step.
- Base Class: select the starting class that defines the later branch pool.
- Super Class: clear Act 1 Floor 10, reach Act 2, vote for the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card, interact with the shrine, and choose one of three displayed branches.
- Ultra Class: continue after Super and use an Ultra Sigil when the live game makes the upgrade available.
This order also explains why spending every Race spin while trying to unlock a Super is wasted effort: the Super gate is tied to Act progression and the Trainer’s Shrine, not to a documented race requirement.

The Castle does not show a race roll
- Return to the hub or character-creation area and look for the Castle interaction rather than an Act map.
- Confirm that you are in Pixel Lineage, not a similarly named Roblox experience.
- Check the current in-game Encyclopedia or help panel for a renamed interaction.
- If the game has just updated, trust the current UI over an older guide; the public listing and mechanics are volatile.
The result has a name missing from online lists
Keep the exact spelling from the game and read its Encyclopedia entry. The guide already leaves five of the 13 claimed races unnamed, so an unfamiliar result is not proof that the roll failed.

A race passive or odds figure conflicts with a guide
Use the live game description. The published passive and probability summaries are explicitly unverified third-party claims, while the Castle and Encyclopedia are the relevant player-facing references.
The Trainer’s Shrine is unavailable
- Verify that Act 1 Floor 10 was cleared, not merely reached.
- Verify that the run has advanced into Act 2.
- Check whether the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card was actually selected in the vote.
- After selecting the card, interact with the shrine itself; selecting a card alone is not the documented final step.
The shrine shows unfamiliar class names
Use the three descriptions displayed for your current Base Class. The published class tree is incomplete, so a name absent from a wiki is not evidence that the option is invalid.
The Ultra option is locked
Check that the Super branch has been selected and that an Ultra Sigil is present. The available guide does not state where the Sigil comes from or whether every Ultra prompt appears in the same menu, so follow the item’s current in-game instructions.
What is and is not verified about the system
The following distinctions prevent the most common misinformation:
Quick Recap
| Claim | Status |
|---|---|
| Race rolls happen in the Castle before Talent and Base Class. | Described by the unofficial race guide. |
| There are exactly 13 races. | Reported as a recap claim; only eight names are supplied and five remain unnamed. |
| Race odds and passive percentages. | Unverified; do not quote as authoritative values. |
| There are six Base Classes. | Reported by the class guides, not confirmed in the official listing. |
| Each Base has three Super branches. | Reported by the class guides; inspect the live shrine for current options. |
| Ultra requires an Ultra Sigil. | Stated by the class guide. |
| A complete list of Super and Ultra names. | Not established; most branch names are unpublished in the cited guide. |
| Races evolve into Super or Ultra forms. | Not supported by the documented sequence; race and class progression are separate. |
Quick checklist before you spend a roll or Sigil
- Read the race name and passive in the live Castle or Encyclopedia.
- Do not treat an unverified rarity, odds, or passive table as official.
- Choose Talent and Base Class after the race step.
- Clear Act 1 Floor 10 before looking for Super progression.
- In Act 2, vote for the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card.
- Interact with the shrine and compare the three branch descriptions for your Base.
- For Ultra, verify the Super branch and Ultra Sigil requirement in the current UI.
