To unlock Overwatch Mythic cosmetics, spend Mythic Prisms in the in-game Mythic Shop. Blizzard’s documented main way to earn Prisms is to progress through the Premium Battle Pass; its FAQ says completing one awards 80. You can also buy Prisms in game. Check the current pass and shop for live rewards, inventory, and item costs, since those details can change.
How do I earn Mythic Prisms?
Blizzard’s Mythic Shop FAQ identifies Premium Battle Pass progression as the main earning route. The FAQ says completing the Premium pass awards 80 Mythic Prisms. Check the current pass in game to confirm its rewards before deciding how far to progress.

Blizzard’s FAQ describes a past tier schedule of 8 Prisms every 10 tiers, beginning at Tier 8 and continuing through Tier 78. That schedule comes from the published article, not verified live guidance for the October 2026 pass. A later Season 2: Summit announcement advertised up to 80 Prisms for that season’s Premium Battle Pass, but does not confirm the current tier-by-tier schedule.

How do I unlock Mythic skins?
- Open the Mythic Shop in Overwatch. Find the Mythic Hero skin or Weapon skin you want and inspect its current price and available tiers.
- Earn or purchase enough Mythic Prisms. Progress through the Premium Battle Pass or use the in-game purchase option if it is available to you.
- Spend Prisms on the cosmetic and any options you want. Check each item’s current tier details in the shop: the design and customization offered are item-specific.
Mythic Prisms are used for Mythic cosmetics, including Hero skins and Weapon skins. Blizzard’s April 2026 Season 2: Summit announcement named Volted Overdrive Soldier: 76 and Genji’s Sumi-ichimonji Weapon skin as examples of Mythic options for that season. Those are dated examples, not confirmation of current shop inventory.

What changed about Mythic Hero skin tiers?
Older descriptions can make it sound as if players must assemble a Hero skin through successive unlocks. Blizzard changed that approach in Season 19: its announcement says, “At Tier 1, you’ll unlock the complete Mythic skin design.” Later tiers add customization options, such as alternate components, colorways, or ambient effects. The number and contents of tiers vary by item, so use the live shop’s details rather than assuming every skin has the same progression.
How many Mythic Prisms does a Mythic skin cost?
There is no single current cost established here for every Mythic cosmetic. Check the item’s price in the live Mythic Shop before spending or buying Prisms.

For context, Blizzard’s April 2024 patch notes set the historical Hero-skin price at 50 Prisms for the base skin and 10 for each of three additional levels, or 80 total for all four stages. That dated price structure should not be treated as the current price for every skin, particularly after the Season 19 change to how Hero skin tiers are presented.

Blizzard’s Mythic Shop article says featured Mythics may leave the shop after their season and describes past Mythics returning after two seasons. That general description does not establish whether a particular cosmetic is available right now. Search the live Mythic Shop for the item you want and check its displayed cost and options.
