The progression loop in one sentence
Set the next zone’s Speed requirement as your target, raise Speed on the treadmill, equip trails that increase your Speed multiplier, and make safe theft runs until you can bank an animal at your base. A zone is not meaningfully completed when you merely break an egg or pick up an animal. Your run has four required parts:

- Break: Use a pickaxe on an egg you can actually damage.
- Steal: Interact with the hatch to take the animal.
- Escape: Get past the guardian and travel back without losing the animal.
- Bank: Deposit it at your base so it begins generating cash.
If you fail to return and deposit the animal, that attempt does not complete the income loop. Treat the Speed gate and the safe return route as equally important objectives.
What actually unlocks an area
Speed is the gate
Each entrance checks your current Speed stat. The published thresholds are progression gates, not purchase prices. You do not unlock Desert by paying a cash amount, and you cannot substitute a stronger pickaxe for the required Speed. The October 8 zone reference gives the nine-area route from Forest through Galaxy; Planet X is a later reported addition.

Pickaxe Power is a different system
Pickaxe Power affects how quickly you break an egg. It can reduce the time you are exposed near an egg, which is useful when a guardian is close, but it does not open an area whose Speed requirement you have not met. If the entrance rejects you, upgrading your pickaxe alone will not fix it; train Speed instead.
Trails must be equipped
Trails belong to Speed progression. A trail’s multiplier only applies when the trail is equipped, so buying or collecting one without selecting it does not improve the stat used at a zone entrance. When your displayed Speed seems lower than expected, check your currently equipped trail before spending on another upgrade.
Every reported zone, Speed gate and egg
The table uses the October 8 reference for the first nine zones. Rarities are the categories listed with those eggs. Planet X is shown separately as the latest reported live snapshot from an October 14 guide.

The numbers in this table are guide-published thresholds, not an official developer statistics sheet. The Planet X figure is described as a recommendation rather than a confirmed universal gate, and its egg rarity was not stated in the October 14 report. If your server shows a different requirement, use the value displayed at that entrance.
How to unlock the next area: a reliable step-by-step route
1. Establish your base and a visual landmark
Before travelling, locate your base and choose a landmark you can recognize on the return trip. A route that is easy to follow while carrying an animal is more valuable than a route that is merely short on an empty run. Walk the path once without an egg so you know where turns, obstacles and the guardian area are.

2. Pick an egg your current pickaxe can break
Start with an egg that your present pickaxe can damage consistently. If the egg does not break or takes so long that the guardian reaches you, it is not a productive target yet. Break a lower-area egg while you build Speed and cash rather than repeatedly losing attempts on an egg above your practical breaking capacity.
3. Break the egg and interact with the hatch
Use the pickaxe until the egg breaks, then interact with the hatch to steal the animal. The break is only the first part of the run; do not treat the appearance of the animal as a completed unlock or a completed income event.

4. Escape the guardian with the animal
Move immediately along the route you rehearsed. Speed is the stat that helps you meet area gates and also determines how confidently you can create distance during a return. If your attempts end during the escape, stop selecting a more distant egg and improve the route or movement setup first.
5. Deposit the animal at your base
Return all the way to the base and deposit the animal. Only then does it enter the cash-generating part of the loop. A successful break followed by a failed return produces no completed banking result, so measure a strategy by animals banked, not by eggs broken.
6. Train Speed and repeat a safe run
Use the treadmill to raise Speed, equip a trail with the best available multiplier, and repeat a route you can finish reliably. When your displayed Speed reaches the next entrance’s requirement, make one test trip before committing to repeated runs in that area.

Choosing what to upgrade
When Speed is the bottleneck
Train on the treadmill when the entrance itself is the problem. The next target should be the exact gate in the table, not a cash amount associated with an egg or animal. A trail is worthwhile for this purpose only when it is equipped and increasing the Speed value you use at the entrance.
When egg-breaking time is the bottleneck
Choose Pickaxe Power when you already meet the area’s Speed gate but spend too long breaking the egg. Faster breaking shortens the vulnerable part of the run. It still does not grant access to the next area, so continue Speed training separately if the next gate is out of reach.
When the return trip is the bottleneck
Do not automatically buy more Pickaxe Power if the egg breaks quickly but the guardian catches you on the way home. Rehearse a shorter, clearer route, start the return immediately after the hatch interaction, and build enough Speed to create a dependable margin. The right upgrade is the one that fixes the stage where your run actually fails.

How to plan the large jumps between zones
The gates become dramatically larger after Forest: 1,000 in Desert, 50,000 in Snowy, 750,000 in Candy, 12 million in Swamp, 150 million in Ocean, 1 billion in Hell, 5 billion in Blossom and 25 billion in Galaxy. Plan these as separate training milestones. Trying to leap directly from one newly opened area to the next without a repeatable earning route usually creates a movement or survivability problem, even when the entrance number is technically within reach.
For each milestone, use this check:
- Displayed Speed: Does the stat meet the next entrance’s number while your intended trail is equipped?
- Egg time: Can your pickaxe break the selected egg without making the guardian encounter unavoidable?
- Return route: Can you reach the base using landmarks instead of improvising?
- Banking: Have you successfully deposited animals from the current route, not merely picked them up?
Only move to a farther zone when all four answers are yes. This keeps your cash generation alive while you work toward the next gate.

Using the Index and matching-pet merges
The Index is useful for tracking which eggs and animals you have collected as you move through the zones. Check it after a run so you know whether a new hatch filled a collection gap. When the matching-pet merge system becomes available in your game, combining matching pets can consolidate duplicates; it does not replace the Speed requirement for a zone and should be treated as a collection-management option rather than an unlock shortcut.

The October 8 list names Galaxy, at 25,000,000,000 Speed, as its ninth and final area. A guide dated October 14 says the October 11 New Biome update added Planet X after Galaxy, recommends 100,000,000,000 Speed and lists Nebula, Plasma and Supernova eggs. Because those dates describe different snapshots, Planet X should be treated as the latest reported live information, not as a timeless fixed list.
When you reach Galaxy, inspect your own server’s entrance before spending resources around the reported 100-billion target. Confirm the displayed Speed requirement and the eggs shown at the entrance. If Planet X is absent or its number differs, follow the in-game label for that server and update your route accordingly.
Common mistakes and fixes
Confusing Speed with Pickaxe Power
Symptom: You have upgraded the pickaxe but the next entrance remains locked. Fix: Train Speed; Pickaxe Power only changes egg-breaking speed.
Buying a trail but leaving it unequipped
Symptom: Your Speed is lower than the multiplier you expected. Fix: Open the trail selection, equip the intended trail and then recheck the displayed stat.

Counting a pickup as a successful run
Symptom: You have taken an animal several times but your base produces no corresponding cash. Fix: Complete the return and deposit step; the income loop starts at the base, not at the egg.
Attempting the next zone with no safe return plan
Symptom: The egg breaks, but the guardian catches you before you get home. Fix: Rehearse a landmark-based route, choose an egg closer to your capability and improve movement before escalating the target.
Assuming an older zone list is still complete
Symptom: Guides stop at Galaxy while your server shows another entrance. Fix: Compare the guide’s date with the update dates and trust the current in-game entrance for the live requirement.
A compact progression checklist
- Set the next Speed gate as your target.
- Train Speed on the treadmill.
- Equip, rather than merely own, the trail that improves your multiplier.
- Use Pickaxe Power to reduce egg-breaking time, not to bypass a gate.
- Break an egg, interact with the hatch and take the animal.
- Escape the guardian using a route you have already practised.
- Deposit the animal at your base before counting the run as successful.
- Use the Index to track new collection entries and merge matching pets when that feature is available.
- Verify Planet X and any later additions in your current server.
What the published figures do not establish
The available zone references provide Speed thresholds, egg names and rarity labels, but they do not provide authoritative hatch probabilities, a complete animal-earnings table or a universal break-time table. Guardian difficulty is not given as a numeric scale either. Use the values displayed in your game for those changing or server-specific details instead of treating an unofficial estimate as a guaranteed statistic.
