There is no single switch that unlocks every furniture set in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Build friendships, find and craft plans, explore puzzle areas, check My Melody’s shop after obtaining pieces elsewhere, and watch for event or multiplayer opportunities. Each item can have a different source, so use the full furniture list when you are chasing a particular piece.
Start with the character tied to the furniture you want
Raising friendship can unlock quests, abilities, recipes, crafting plans, and some furniture. Keep gifting and progressing with the resident associated with the set or item you want; friendship rewards vary, so do not assume every level gives furniture. The maintained furniture list can help identify whether a specific item is tied to a character or another source.

Find plans and craft the pieces they unlock
Some furniture is made at a crafting bench, but crafting requires more than discovering the station: you need the plan for the item and all of its required materials. Plans may be found around the island or become available through friendship progression. The game’s crafting reference explains the system; check the plan and material requirements before setting out to gather supplies.

Explore hidden areas and complete puzzles
Search chests, hidden areas, and puzzle rooms as you explore. The official game description highlights hidden puzzle ruins and bonus rewards, and furniture sources include both crafted items and rewards. Not every puzzle awards furniture, so treat exploration as one route among several rather than a guaranteed furniture drop.

Revisit My Melody’s shop after you obtain furniture elsewhere
Some pieces are sold in My Melody’s shop, but the shop is not necessarily a complete catalog from the start. Some furniture must first be obtained elsewhere to enter the shop’s regular rotation. If you are looking for a set and do not see it, pursue its other listed source and check the shop again later.
Use events and multiplayer for additional opportunities
Year-round events offer rewards, while multiplayer includes opportunities to trade rare items, according to the official Steam listing. These are supplementary routes: an event item may depend on its schedule, and trading depends on playing with others. They are not guaranteed ways to obtain a particular piece immediately.

Know what cabin quests unlock
Cabin access and furniture collection are separate goals. Completing “Make Yourself At Home” unlocks a personal cabin; “Friends and Family” opens additional visitor cabins. These quests give you places to decorate, but do not award every furniture item or replace the routes above.

Check the furniture’s listed source when you have a specific goal
Furniture is not acquired through one universal method: a piece may come from friendship, crafting, exploration rewards, a shop, an event, or multiplayer. Look up the named item in the maintained furniture list and follow its stated source instead of assuming it must be crafted or purchased. The list changes as game content changes, so check it for current details.

Expansion content is edition-specific
Nintendo’s City Town listing describes an expansion requiring the base game or Switch 2 Edition and advertises over 150 new clothing and furniture items in City Town. That is expansion content, not a general unlock method for the base game; confirm that the expansion is available for and owned on your platform before looking for its items.
