DLC fighters in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves are unlocked by purchasing the paid content that contains them. You can buy the relevant Season Pass, or buy an individual fighter when your platform’s storefront lists that option. The Standard Edition includes only the base game, so owning it does not grant paid characters. After purchase, install the entitlement and connect the game to the network; SNK says network access is required for all content.
What “unlocking” a DLC fighter means
There is no documented story challenge, arcade requirement, level threshold, or secret code for these characters. The official information describes DLC access as a purchase entitlement. In practical terms, the game checks whether the platform account owns the fighter directly or owns a Season Pass that includes that fighter.

That distinction matters because a fighter can appear in promotional material or in a roster list without being playable on your account. You need three things aligned: the correct base game, the correct platform account, and ownership of the add-on containing the character. Network access is also required to use all content according to SNK’s product information.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
| Season Pass | Fighters listed by SNK | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Season Pass 1 | Andy Bogard; Ken; Joe Higashi; Chun-Li; Mr. Big | These five fighters are associated with Season 1. |
| Season Pass 2 | Kim Jae Hoon; Nightmare Geese; Blue Mary; Wolfgang Krauser; Mr. Karate; Kenshiro | These six fighters are associated with Season 2. |
| Season Pass 3 | Rick Strowd; Duck King; Kim Kaphwan; Laocorn; two mystery characters scheduled for October and December in the July 2026 announcement | SNK’s product page, crawled in October 2026, lists additional Season 3 guest names and another mystery slot. The announcement roster and product-page roster do not match for unreleased fighters. |
Season 3 needs extra care. The July 2026 announcement named four fighters and two mystery slots, with the mystery characters scheduled for October and December. Later product information showed a different, expanded listing. Because names and release status can change while a season is rolling out, use the live store page for your platform as the final authority before paying.
Check what you already own
Confirm the base game
The Standard Edition is the base game only. SNK explicitly says paid additional content is not included and must be purchased separately. If you own Standard, you can add a pass or an individual fighter; you do not need to buy the game again.
Confirm the platform account
Open the store while signed in to the account that owns your copy of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. DLC licenses are tied to the platform ecosystem and account shown at checkout. Buying a character on a different account or platform can leave the game unable to recognize the entitlement you intended to use.

Check the edition name, not just the artwork
Edition names are not interchangeable. A bundle can include the base game, one season, several seasons, or no paid add-ons at all. Read the contents panel for the exact platform and edition instead of assuming that a “Legend,” “Revenge,” or “Special” label means the same package everywhere.
Choose the purchase route
| Option | Best when | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Individual fighter DLC | You want one specific character and do not need the other fighters in that season. | SNK says former Season Pass exclusives are now available individually, but only where the applicable storefront lists the character. |
| Season Pass | You want several fighters from one season, or you want the season’s complete announced coverage. | Match the pass number to the fighter and read whether the listing includes the base game or only add-on content. |
| Edition bundle | You need the game and multiple seasons, or you are buying a new copy. | Check the exact edition, platform, format, and included passes. Bundle names and contents have changed over time. |
A pass generally covers more characters than an individual purchase, but the supplied official information does not establish a single current price comparison across platforms. Store prices, regional currencies, taxes, discounts, and release timing can change. Decide from the character coverage shown in your store rather than from an old price quoted elsewhere.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Step-by-step: buy and activate a DLC fighter
- Write down the fighter’s name. Use the season map above to identify Season 1, 2, or 3. For a Season 3 character that has not launched on your platform, check the listed release date and current availability.
- Open your platform’s official storefront. Stay signed in to the account that owns the base game. Search for the fighter by name, then search for the matching Season Pass if no individual listing appears.
- Read the product description. Confirm that the item is an add-on for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, that it is compatible with your platform, and that the fighter is included. Do not rely on a banner image or a bundle name alone.
- Check whether you already own the content. The store should identify a pass or fighter you have purchased. If the listing says it is not owned, compare the account and platform before buying again.
- Purchase the individual fighter or the matching pass. SNK confirms that individual purchases are available for applicable characters, but it qualifies that availability by storefront. A character may therefore be sold separately in one store while appearing only inside a pass in another.
- Install the add-on. Use the platform’s normal download or installation control for the purchased item. The exact button label varies by platform and is not specified in SNK’s product information.
- Start the game while connected to the network. SNK states that network access is required for all content. Let the platform complete any pending content download or license check before judging whether the fighter is available.
- Verify the entitlement in the game. The reviewed official information does not specify a universal menu path or a separate in-game unlock challenge. If the character is still unavailable, stop and recheck ownership, platform, installation status, and network connection rather than repeating an in-game challenge.
Season Pass and edition details
Standard Edition
Standard is the base game only. Paid fighters and other paid add-ons are separate purchases. This is the normal route for someone who already owns the game and wants to add one character or one season.
Digital Legend Edition
SNK’s product listing describes the digital Legend Edition as the base game plus Season Passes 1 and 2. It is therefore relevant to a new buyer who wants the first two seasons together, not necessarily to someone who already owns Standard and needs only one fighter. SNK announced this edition in January 2026 with an initial listed price of $49.99, but that was an earlier offer rather than a guaranteed current price. Check the live listing before treating any amount as current.
Revenge Edition
The product listing describes the Revenge Edition with Season Passes 1–3. Verify the current store description for the base-game inclusion, platform, release status of Season 3 content, and exact items before purchase. Do not assume that every format or regional listing has identical contents.
Physical Special Edition
The physical Special Edition listing is for PS4 and PS5 and bundles the base game with Season Pass 1. It can make sense when you need the game and the first season together. If you already own the base game, a digital Season Pass or an individual DLC listing may be the more direct route, depending on the fighter and your storefront.
How to decide between a pass and one character
Buy individually when your target is clear
Individual DLC is the economical choice in terms of content commitment when you want one named fighter and the store offers that fighter separately. It avoids paying for the rest of a season you do not intend to use. The trade-off is that individual availability is not universal; SNK tells buyers to check storefront listings for applicable characters.

Buy a pass when you want broad coverage
A Season Pass is the straightforward choice if you want most or all of the fighters in a season. First match the fighter to the season, then read the pass description to confirm that the pass covers the announced characters you expect. For Season 3, pay particular attention to unreleased and mystery slots, because the July 2026 announcement and later product-page information list different names and totals.

An edition bundle can be useful for a new player who needs the base game and several seasons. It is less obviously useful for an existing owner: a bundle may duplicate the base game or content already attached to the account. Compare the bundle’s included passes with your current library before checkout.
Platform and storefront qualifications
The purchase path is platform-specific. The account, store region, edition format, and console or PC version shown at checkout determine which license you receive. SNK’s statement about individual purchases does not mean that every fighter is individually purchasable on every platform at the same time.
- Use the store page for the platform on which you play.
- Check the platform label before buying a pass or fighter.
- Read the current contents list, especially for Season 3.
- Check whether the item is an add-on or a complete game bundle.
- Keep the purchasing account and the playing account within the platform’s supported licensing arrangement.
Prices are volatile and may differ by region. The $49.99 figure attached to the January 2026 Legend Edition announcement should not be presented as a current universal price. A current storefront listing is the appropriate reference for what you will actually pay.
Season 3: avoid buying on an outdated roster
Season 3 is the only part of the current map with a documented roster discrepancy. The July 2026 announcement listed Rick Strowd, Duck King, Kim Kaphwan, Laocorn, and two mystery characters scheduled for October and December. SNK’s product page, crawled in October 2026, listed additional Season 3 guest names and an extra mystery slot. That means an older article, video, or screenshot may omit characters shown in the current store listing, while a newer listing may contain fighters that were not named in the original announcement.

Use this sequence for a Season 3 purchase:
- Open the live Season 3 product page on your platform.
- Read the included-character list and identify whether your target is released, announced, or still shown as a mystery slot.
- Check the individual character page as well; it may appear only after the fighter becomes available.
- Confirm the edition or pass grants the character you want, rather than relying on a third-party roster image.
This is especially important if you are buying a bundle for future content. The listing is the place to verify what is currently promised, what has launched, and whether a mystery slot has been identified.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. If the fighter does not appear after purchase
The official material does not publish a universal menu path or entitlement-restoration procedure, so avoid instructions that depend on a particular platform’s button names. Work through the checks that can be established from the purchase requirements:
- Account check: Make sure the game is running under the platform account that purchased the DLC.
- Platform check: Confirm that the add-on matches the platform and edition of your base game.
- Season check: Verify that the fighter belongs to the pass you bought. A Season 1 purchase cannot unlock a Season 2 character.
- Storefront check: Reopen the listing and confirm the fighter is included or individually available. This matters most for Season 3 and for regional differences.
- Installation check: Confirm that the platform shows the purchased add-on as installed or ready to download.
- Network check: Connect the game to the network, since SNK says network access is required for all content.
- Release-status check: If the character is listed as upcoming, ownership does not make it playable before its stated release.
If all of those checks pass and the entitlement is still missing, use the support route for the platform or game account. The available official descriptions do not establish a hidden gameplay condition that would explain a missing paid fighter.
Common buying mistakes
Assuming Standard includes DLC
It does not. Standard is base game only, and paid content must be purchased separately.

Assuming every character has an individual listing
SNK says individual purchasing is available for applicable characters and directs buyers to storefront listings. Availability can vary by character, platform, and release status.
Treating edition names as universal
Legend, Revenge, and Special refer to different packages. The physical Special Edition listing is specifically for PS4/PS5 and includes Season Pass 1; the digital Legend Edition is listed with Seasons 1 and 2; the Revenge Edition is listed with Seasons 1–3. Check the exact product page.
Using an old price as a guarantee
The January 2026 Legend Edition announcement initially listed $49.99. Store offers can change, so verify the current regional price at checkout.
Relying on an old Season 3 roster
Season 3 listings changed between the July 2026 announcement and the product information crawled in October. The current storefront listing should control your decision.
Quick decision checklist
- Do I own the base game on this platform account?
- Which fighter do I want?
- Which Season Pass contains that fighter?
- Does the current storefront sell the fighter individually?
- Does the listing include the base game, or is it add-on content only?
- Is the item compatible with my platform and region?
- Has the fighter been released, or is it still upcoming?
- Will I be able to connect the game to the network?
Answer those questions before checkout and you will avoid the two most common errors: purchasing the wrong season and assuming a bundle includes content that its listing does not promise.
