It depends what you mean by “track.” If you mean the City Escape song, the reported route to unlocking Sonic-series music for the Jukebox is to earn A rank on three different Time Trial tracks—but that does not confirm City Escape is one of the songs unlocked. If you mean a playable City Escape race course, it has been reported as planned Year 2 DLC, with no release date or unlock steps announced in the available reporting.
If you mean the City Escape song
TechRadar’s review, published September 18, 2025, reports that earning A rank on three different Time Trial tracks unlocks a selection of Sonic-series songs for Jukebox use. It does not identify the individual songs or establish that this method specifically unlocks City Escape.

- Complete Time Trials on three different tracks.
- Earn A rank on each of those tracks.
- Check the Jukebox for newly available music. If City Escape is not listed, the reported general unlock condition does not provide a further confirmed step for that specific song.
If you mean a City Escape race course
Shacknews reported on October 9, 2026, that Year 2 DLC is set to include a City Escape course featuring Godzilla. The report gives neither a release date nor a player unlock procedure, so there are no confirmed steps for unlocking or racing on that course yet.
Keep the game updated for DLC access
SEGA’s version 1.4.3 update notice, dated October 8, 2026, says the latest version is required to use online modes such as World Match and access DLC. The notice describes data for upcoming live-service operations and minor bug fixes; it does not announce a City Escape course unlock. Update the game when prompted, but do not treat version 1.4.3 as an unlock code or confirmation that the course is available.
