The published game notes do not identify his exact reward tier, whether that reward is on a free or paid track, or how many points or currency it takes to reach him. In the live game, open the pass, tap any locked Po reward to view the stated route, and follow that route. After Po is available, make the early player upgrade required for abilities; the current notes place ability access at Player Level 2. His listed ability, Shadowstep, makes him vanish in a puff of smoke so he can run up the pitch unseen or approach from behind for a surprise.
What is confirmed about Po
Po is one of the licensed characters in the Kung Fu Panda season pass. The current FIFA Heroes listings also name Tigress, Zhen, Grand Master Oogway and Tai Lung in that pass. FIFA describes the game as an arcade 5-a-side title in which individual heroes have their own abilities and special moves, so Po is not simply a cosmetic character.

This distinction matters because a pass reward and an ability upgrade are separate steps. Unlocking Po does not by itself establish that Shadowstep is immediately usable.
Unlock Po from the Kung Fu Panda season pass
1. Update and open FIFA Heroes
Use the current version shown by your device’s app store before looking for the event. Google Play listed September 8, 2026 as the app’s update date when it was checked. Store dates and event content can change by region or account, so an older installation may show a different pass screen.

2. Enter the season-pass screen
From the game’s home screen, open the season-pass or event tile and select the Kung Fu Panda pass. Look for Po among the reward-track items. The listings establish that the pass may award heroes, but they do not publish a universal position for Po.
3. Inspect Po’s locked reward
If Po is shown with a lock, tap the item. The Google Play listing says that tapping a locked item can show where to obtain it. This is the most reliable way to learn the route presented to your account. Read the resulting panel for a tier number, a pass-track label, a level requirement, an event task, or a purchase prompt rather than relying on a guide written for another season.
4. Follow only the requirement the game displays
Advance the pass using the activities and claims the live screen specifies. Do not assume that ordinary match wins, a particular currency, or a paid upgrade is required unless the in-game panel says so. No source currently establishes Po’s tier, a currency amount, a free-versus-paid status, or a universal date range.

5. Claim the reward
When the Po tile becomes claimable, select it and complete the claim confirmation. If the tile remains locked after you reach the displayed milestone, leave and reopen the pass, check for an unclaimed prerequisite reward, and read the lock message again. A reward that has been earned but not claimed may not appear in the hero roster.

6. Confirm Po in your hero collection
Open the hero collection or team-selection screen and search for Po. Select him only after the roster shows him as available. If the pass says claimed but the roster does not update, restart the app and check the pass history before attempting the same purchase or task again.
Unlocking Po is not the same as unlocking Shadowstep
The current Apple App Store version notes state that abilities now unlock at Player Level 2. Treat this as the game’s general ability rule, not as a separately published Po-specific condition. The notes do not describe an additional Po prerequisite.
- Select Po after he enters your collection. Make sure you are viewing his player profile rather than a pass preview.
- Apply the first player upgrade shown by the profile. The ability rule is tied to Player Level 2, so the relevant progress is the player’s level, not merely your account level or pass tier.
- Reopen Po’s ability panel. Confirm that Shadowstep is no longer marked as locked and read any on-screen tutorial text.
- Complete any prompt the game adds. If the live build presents a tutorial match, cooldown explanation or control overlay, follow that current instruction. Those details are not specified in the store notes.
Because the published material only gives the level threshold, it would be misleading to state a coin price, experience total or match count for the upgrade. Those values may depend on the live build and account progression.

The official version-note wording says Po can disappear in a puff of smoke and run up the pitch invisible to opponents, or rush up behind them to surprise them. That description communicates the intended tactical identity: conceal Po’s movement during an attacking approach.

Invisible forward movement
Use the ability description as a cue to look for a lane that leads toward the opponent’s goal. A concealed run can be useful when a defender is watching the ball carrier rather than Po. The notes do not promise immunity from every defensive action, a fixed invisibility duration, or automatic possession, so judge the result by the indicators in your match.
A surprise approach from behind
The second published use is a rush up behind an opponent. This implies an approach designed to catch a defender facing the other direction. Activate only after checking that Po has room to move; disappearing does not remove walls, other players or the boundaries of the pitch.
Read the result, not an assumed guarantee
Shadowstep’s smoke and invisibility are the documented effect, not a tested guarantee of a goal, tackle avoidance or uninterrupted sprint. Watch the ability icon, Po’s movement and the opponent’s reaction in the live match. If the game displays a timer, status marker or cooldown, that interface is the authoritative explanation for your version.

No reviewed listing publishes a button mapping, touch gesture or controller command. Do not copy a control sequence from another football game or from a different hero. FIFA Heroes may expose the control through its current HUD or tutorial.

- Enter a match with Po selected. The ability control may not appear while you are only viewing the pass preview.
- Look for a distinct ability icon. Compare the match HUD with Po’s profile so you can identify Shadowstep by name or artwork.
- Open the pause, controls or help panel if the icon is unclear. Use the label shown by the live game rather than assuming a tap, hold or swipe.
- Test in a low-risk moment. Begin away from your own goal and observe whether the ability activates, enters a cooldown or requires a full charge.
- Record the behavior shown on your device. If an update changes the control, the current in-game prompt takes priority over older videos and posts.
The absence of a published mapping is not evidence that Shadowstep lacks a control; it means the control must be confirmed in the running game.

Before kickoff
- Confirm Po is selected in the active lineup, not just unlocked in the collection.
- Check that his profile shows the ability as available rather than locked.
- Locate the ability icon and note any charge or cooldown indicator.
During possession
- Keep Po’s movement aligned with the attack instead of activating from a dead-end position.
- Use the smoke disappearance when an opponent’s attention is directed elsewhere.
- For the behind-the-defender approach, wait until Po has a clear route to the space you want to enter.
After activation
- Watch whether the invisibility indicator remains active and for how long.
- Continue the run or pass according to what the live HUD permits; do not assume the ability performs a shot or pass automatically.
- Note the cooldown before planning the next use.
This routine is deliberately conservative because the official description does not publish numerical duration, range or recharge values.
How to verify changing event information
Season-pass content is time-sensitive. The Apple App Store notes checked for this guide identify the Kung Fu Panda season pass and Po’s Shadowstep, while the Google Play listing confirms the game’s 5v5 format, hero abilities, leveling and season-pass rewards. Neither listing gives a permanent Po tier or a guaranteed availability date.
When the pass screen conflicts with an older article, video or social post, use this order of authority:
- The lock or reward panel attached to Po in your account.
- The current in-game help or tutorial for Shadowstep.
- The latest store listing and version notes for your platform.
- Older third-party explanations, which may describe a previous pass rotation.
FIFA’s October 2, 2025 announcement about FIFA Heroes and the 2026 World Cup mascots provides background on the game’s licensed-character format, not a Po unlock instruction. The official FIFA Heroes site likewise presents collecting heroes and mastering skills without publishing Po-specific tier or control details.

- A specific button, swipe or controller combination for Shadowstep.
- A guaranteed invisibility duration, cooldown, scoring bonus or immunity effect.
Those details may be displayed to players in a current build, but they are not established by the published listings used here. Treat a value as authoritative only when the live game labels it or a current official guide states it.
