After you own a weapon, open Areas → Evolution, select that exact weapon, collect every listed material and currency, and confirm the recipe to unlock its fourth skill, commonly described as its ultimate. Shadow Monarch is an exception: community guides report a Shadow Gate raid acquisition and a multi-stage Monarch Path instead of the ordinary one-step awakening.
How the two-step weapon system works
There are two different milestones:
- Summoning or acquiring: you obtain the weapon through the Arsenal, a raid, or a separate banner, depending on the weapon and the live game interface.
- Evolution: you upgrade an owned weapon through the Evolution menu. This is the step that unlocks its fourth skill or ultimate.
Owning a weapon does not automatically unlock its ultimate. The evolution recipe is weapon-specific, and the requirements can change when Anime Zero is updated. Treat the current in-game panel as the final authority over older community lists.
Where to summon weapons
Arsenal summons
Community guides describe the Arsenal as the main lobby summon system. From the lobby, open Areas and choose Arsenal. The banner or pool shown there determines which weapons can be summoned at that moment. Do not assume that every weapon named in an older tier list is still available in the current Arsenal.
The guides describe two separate currency tracks: Standard Rolls and Lucky Spins. They are not presented as interchangeable currencies. Read the cost shown on the active Arsenal banner before confirming a roll, particularly after a patch or banner rotation.

Community pages do not agree consistently on every pool and banner detail. A weapon can move between systems, leave a banner, or receive a different requirement after an update. Use the roster as a checklist of names to investigate, not as proof of present availability.
Reported non-Arsenal routes
Shadow Monarch: Nightmare Shadow Gate
Shadow Monarch is repeatedly described as an exception. The reported acquisition route is the Nightmare Shadow Gate raid. Open the raid board and confirm that the gate and its reward are currently listed before planning a farming run. A raid route means Arsenal rolls alone may never produce the weapon while that route is active.
Flame Director: Spirited Away raid
Community guides report Flame Director through the Spirited Away raid. Check the current raid board, entry requirements, and reward preview; the guide reports the route but does not establish a permanent drop schedule or drop rate.

Mochi Commander: Zenless banner
Mochi Commander is reported on the Zenless banner rather than the ordinary Arsenal route. Open the live banner screen and verify the banner name, currency, and end date before using spins. Do not infer that a Standard Roll shown in Arsenal can be used on this banner.
How to choose between routes

Step-by-step: summon a weapon from the Arsenal
- Enter the lobby. Make sure your account is in the main lobby rather than inside a stage.
- Open Areas. Select Arsenal from the available areas.
- Read the active banner. Confirm the banner title, featured weapons, currency icon, and any displayed guarantee or pity counter.
- Check the currency track. Verify whether the button consumes Standard Rolls or Lucky Spins. Treat the two as separate tracks unless the interface explicitly says otherwise.
- Confirm the weapon pool. If the weapon is absent from the displayed pool, stop and check its raid or banner route instead of spending rolls blindly.
- Roll only after checking the cost. Use the single- or multi-roll control shown by the current interface and review the result.
- Record the result and counter. If the banner shows a pity or guarantee counter, note the value after the roll so you do not confuse progress between banners.
Codes, quests, Story clears, raids, and AFK rewards are the community-reported ways to build a supply of attempts. The game may change which activity grants which currency, so use the reward description attached to the current activity.
What is known about pity and summon odds
There is no verified, permanent developer table for weapon roll rates in the available documentation. A fan guide explicitly states, “The developer has not published roll rates.” Per-item percentages on community pages can conflict or reflect older versions, so an exact percentage should not be treated as current unless the game itself displays it with a date or active banner context.

An earlier Anime Zero [RELEASE] Wiki guide, last updated October 10, 2026, also reports Arcane pity at 250 but gives Zenless pity as 2,750. Because the sources disagree on the Zenless value and use different naming conventions, do not combine the numbers or present either as an official guarantee. Read the counter and guarantee language on the live banner you are using.
How to unlock a weapon’s ultimate
Standard Evolution workflow
- Open Areas in the lobby.
- Select Evolution.
- Choose the exact owned weapon. Selecting a similarly named weapon can show a different recipe.
- Scroll through the entire requirement panel. Read every row, including rows below the first screen. The guides specifically warn that the first visible items may not be the complete list.
- Write down missing materials and currency. Requirements vary by weapon; there is no universal awakening recipe.
- Farm each item from its relevant mode or act. Use the mode named by the in-game material description rather than relying on an old farming list.
- Return to Areas → Evolution. Reopen the recipe after farming so the panel refreshes your inventory.
- Confirm the evolution. When every row is satisfied, activate the confirmation control. The evolution unlocks the weapon’s fourth skill or ultimate according to the community guides.
Materials you may see
The October guide lists examples including Fine Cloth, Shinobi Scrolls, Eyeballs, Mana Feathers, and Cursed Fingers, along with weapon-specific materials. These examples do not form a shared recipe. The exact quantity and combination must come from the selected weapon’s current requirement panel.
Shadow Monarch’s named progression
Shadow Monarch reportedly does not use the ordinary one-step awakening flow. The documented sequence is The System → Arise: Igris → Demon King’s Longsword, described as part of a multi-stage Monarch Path. Follow the labels and order presented in the live panel; do not substitute a standard Evolution recipe simply because the weapon is already in your inventory.

Checking requirements before you spend resources
- Confirm ownership first: the Evolution list should show the weapon as selectable or owned.
- Expand or scroll the panel: hidden rows can contain additional materials or currency.
- Separate acquisition currency from evolution currency: rolls and spins buy attempts; evolution consumes the materials and currency named in the recipe.
- Check quantities in the current screen: community lists identify material names but do not establish universal counts.
- Recheck after updates: a patch can alter a pool, banner, recipe, or route without changing the weapon’s name.
Common mistakes and fixes
Spending Arsenal rolls on a raid weapon
Symptom: repeated Arsenal rolls never produce the weapon you want. Fix: leave the Arsenal and inspect the raid board or named banner. Shadow Monarch, Flame Director, and Mochi Commander are the reported examples requiring this check.
Assuming a weapon is ultimate-ready when summoned
Symptom: the weapon is owned, but its fourth skill remains unavailable. Fix: open Areas → Evolution, select the weapon, and complete every displayed requirement.

Mixing Standard Rolls and Lucky Spins
Symptom: a currency balance does not apply to the banner you opened. Fix: compare the currency icon and label on the roll button with the balance you intend to spend; the guides describe these as different tracks.
Trusting an old pity number
Symptom: a community guide promises a guarantee that the current banner does not show. Fix: use the live counter and guarantee text. The reported Arcane, Lyth, Mythic, and Zenless values are unofficial and, in the Zenless case, conflicting.
Following a changed recipe
Symptom: a material list from a video or post no longer matches your Evolution panel. Fix: treat the current in-game requirement list as authoritative and farm only what it names.

A practical route for completing a full collection
- Make a target list from the weapon names currently visible in Arsenal, raids, and banners.
- Classify each target as Arsenal, raid, or banner based on the live reward panel.
- Farm the matching attempt source—codes, quests, Story clears, raids, or AFK rewards where the game currently grants them.
- Spend the correct track and keep separate notes for Standard Rolls and Lucky Spins.
- After each acquisition, open Evolution immediately and capture the complete requirement list before farming.
- Prioritize route-specific progression for Shadow Monarch by checking Nightmare Shadow Gate and the Monarch Path stages rather than waiting for an Arsenal result.
- Recheck every target after an update because roster, banner, pity, and recipe data are volatile.
This method prevents the two most expensive errors: spending the wrong currency on the wrong banner and farming an obsolete evolution recipe.
What to trust when guides disagree
The available weapon documentation comes from independent fan publications dated October 5–12, 2026, not from a verified developer weapon manual. Their disagreements are most visible in banner membership, Zenless pity terminology, and per-item odds. Use those guides to identify possible routes and material names, then verify three screens in Anime Zero itself: the current Arsenal pool, the raid or banner reward panel, and the selected weapon’s Evolution requirements.
If the game’s label conflicts with a dated guide, follow the game. That rule is especially important for limited banners, raid rewards, pity counters, and Shadow Monarch’s multi-stage progression.
Bottom line for every weapon
Start with the live menu, not a static list: Arsenal for weapons currently in its pool, the named raid or banner for reported exceptions, and Areas → Evolution for the ultimate unlock after ownership. Inspect the entire recipe, use the exact currency and materials shown, and treat all community pity and odds figures as unofficial until the game displays a current value.
