Spoilers: This guide reveals the final-quest choice and the nature of Dragon’s Dogma 2’s post-game world. During Legacy, reach the Dragon’s heart and use the Empowered Godsbane Blade to unlock the secret ending route and enter the Unmoored World. Riding through the encounter instead leads to the standard ending.
Choose the Unmoored World route during Legacy
The choice comes at the final Dragon encounter in the main quest Legacy. While riding the Dragon, make your way to its heart and use the Empowered Godsbane Blade there. This triggers the secret ending route and access to the Unmoored World. PowerPyx and GameSpot describe the trigger with slightly different wording, so focus on reaching the heart and using the blade rather than relying on a particular platform-specific button prompt. What to expect in the Unmoored World
The Unmoored World is a post-game variant of the familiar map, not a separate game or DLC area. Its landscape is altered: red fog presses in, and the ocean recedes, exposing seafloor that can be traversed. Red beacons mark trials or encounters. Gamer Guides’ Unmoored World guide and Game8’s guide describe the post-game setting and its time pressure.

The red beacon at the Seafloor Shrine is a point of no return for that run: interacting with it ends the game sequence. If you want to complete available trials and rescues, do those first and leave this beacon alone until you are ready to finish.

The post-game is time-limited, and the red fog advances. The exact timing is not established as a universal day count or fixed number of rests; timer conditions may interact in ways not captured by a single simple formula. As a cautious approach, prioritize the objectives you want to complete and avoid unnecessary rests rather than planning around an assumed exact countdown.
