Saber Interactive’s official notes identify Hive as the new Siege map, while the exact Battle Barge menu route is corroborated by player reports rather than documented step by step by the publisher.
How to access Chaos Siege
- Install Patch 15. The free update was announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The publisher’s October 1, 2026 patch notes add Chaos in Siege Mode and the Hive map: Patch Notes 15.0 and Patch 15 announcement.
- Go to the Battle Barge and open the Siege selection. This menu route is described in contemporaneous player reports; the official notes do not provide button-by-button directions.
- Select Hive. It is the new Chaos Siege map, distinct from the original Siege map. Community reports identify Hive as the option to choose for Chaos Siege.
What happens in Chaos Siege
You control Heretic Astartes, with Cultists and a Helbrute supporting the fight. Your enemies include Tyranids and Imperial forces—specifically Cadians and loyalist Space Marines in the publisher’s descriptions. The Hive map takes place in a hive city on Avarax. If Hive is missing from the Siege menu
- Check that Patch 15 has finished installing, then restart the game so the updated content loads.
- Confirm you are looking in Siege at the Battle Barge and selecting Hive, rather than the original Siege map.
- The official announcement presents Chaos Siege as part of the free update and does not state a character-level gate or separate progression unlock. It does not explicitly rule out every possible access condition, so check the in-game menu and current patch information if Hive remains unavailable.
Do not look for it in Crucible
Chaos Siege is a Siege mode option, not a Crucible activity. Patch 15 discusses Crucible as a separate PvE feature; its Chaplain and class-progression details are unrelated to launching Chaos Siege.

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive’s September 2026 community update described two sectors and said a third was in development. The October publisher announcement also referred to two Avarax Siege sectors. Those figures describe the announcements at those dates; check the live game for the current sector count.
