In Slayers 2, the route depends on your character: Slayers learn Breathing Styles from trainers, while Demons obtain an Evil Art Orb and complete its training. Neither reaching a character-level threshold nor owning an orb automatically unlocks every move; follow the active quest, then check the exact skill-tree node for its requirements.
Choose your character path first
Breathing Styles and Demon Arts are separate progression paths. Choose the Slayer route for a Breathing Style or the Demon route for an Evil Art, a term also used for Demon Arts. Independent guides reviewed in September 2026 describe these paths; their reported mechanics may change with game updates, so use current in-game dialogue and objectives as the final check.

- Slayer: meet a Breathing trainer’s requirements and complete the assigned training.
- Demon: transform, reach Muzan through the Biwa Bell route, obtain and consume an Evil Art Orb, then complete that art’s training.
How to unlock a Breathing Style as a Slayer
An independent beginner guide reports level 25 as the threshold to begin Breathing training. That is a reported training milestone, not an automatic unlock for every move. A separate trainer guide describes an acquisition sequence that includes meeting requirements, completing assigned exercises and an encounter, and then checking the style’s skill tree.
- Confirm you are on the Slayer path and meet the reported level threshold. The level 25 requirement is guide-reported; check current game objectives in case an update has changed it.
- Choose a style and trainer. The trainer guide lists eight trainers with different locations and requirements. Decide which style you want before gathering materials or traveling.
- Check the trainer’s current dialogue and your active quest. Requirements vary, and the guide does not establish every trainer’s costs. Treat its listed materials as examples, not a complete requirements list.
- Complete the assigned route and training. Speaking to a trainer or reaching the location alone is not described as sufficient. Follow the active objective, including any exercises or encounter it specifies.
- Open the style’s skill tree. After the training completion signal, inspect individual move nodes for their mastery, skill-point, equipment, or quest requirements.
Reported material examples
The independent trainer guide reports Water requiring 5,000 Wen and 30 Demon Horns, Flame requiring 10 Demon Horns, and Serpent requiring 20 Demon Horns plus five Beast Cores. These are guide-reported examples, not official confirmation; verify the current trainer dialogue before farming or spending materials.

How to unlock a Demon Art
The reported Demon route has two stages: transform into a Demon, then obtain and train an art. Independent guides reviewed in September 2026 describe the following sequence, but current objectives and Muzan’s dialogue should take precedence if the game has changed.
- Complete the Demon transformation route. The transformation guide reports receiving a reputation invitation, searching for Muzan at night, collecting requested Spider Lilies, handing them to a doctor, and using Muzan Blood to transform.
- Use the Biwa Bell route to reach Muzan. The Demon Art guide places art acquisition after transformation and directs players to Muzan through this route.
- Check Muzan’s current dialogue and price. The guide does not establish one universal price for every art, so do not assume a fixed cost.
- Obtain and consume an Evil Art Orb. Owning an orb is not the same as completing the art’s progression. The guide also reports chest acquisition but does not establish a drop rate.
- Complete the associated training, then inspect the art’s skill tree. Follow the active training objective and check each move node for additional requirements.
Some techniques may have extra unlock conditions or boss-drop requirements, according to the independent guide. Its account does not establish a single unlock method or drop rate for every technique.

What “level up” means after unlocking
Several different systems can be called “leveling,” and progress in one does not substitute for requirements in another.

Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →| Progress track | What it means here | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Character level | General character progression; level 25 is a reported threshold for starting Breathing training. | Current trainer requirements and quest objectives. |
| Combat mastery | A separate progression track tied to the equipped weapon or style and move progression. | The mastery requirement on the specific move node. |
| Skill points | Points used to unlock skill-tree nodes. | Whether the node requires points in addition to mastery. |
| Quest or training progress | Completion of the trainer or art’s assigned objectives. | The active quest’s next step and completion signal. |
To progress a particular move, open its node and read the listed mastery, point, equipment, and quest prerequisites. Then use the relevant ability or continue the stated objective. The guides do not establish one universal numeric mastery requirement or identical leveling rules for every style and art.

- Certainty of requirements: distinguish a requirement explicitly listed by a guide from one whose cost or condition remains unknown, and confirm both in the game.
Why a move may still be locked
- You reached a character level but did not finish training. The reported level 25 threshold starts the Breathing route; it does not replace the trainer’s exercises, encounter, or quest completion.
- You have an orb but not the completed art. The reported Demon route includes consuming the orb and completing associated training before checking the art tree.
- The node has its own requirements. A move may require mastery, skill points, equipment, or another objective beyond acquiring the style or art.
- The guide’s requirement is incomplete or outdated. Costs and routes may vary or change; rely on current trainer dialogue, Muzan’s dialogue, the active quest, and the move node rather than assuming a guide lists every condition.
