To unlock the five reported golden cars in F-Zero GX, open Customize > F-Zero Shop and enter the matching sequence while four controller inputs are connected and used simultaneously. The reported codes unlock gold parts for Thunderstorm, El Dorado, Chrono Symphony, Bahamut and Gladiator. You then assemble each machine from its corresponding gold-part set.
These instructions come from Nintendo Wire’s October 12, 2026 report, not from a published Nintendo or Sega code list and not from independent testing. Treat the sequences as a reported method rather than a publisher-verified guarantee, especially if your setup behaves differently.

What you need before entering a code
- F-Zero GX for Nintendo GameCube. Nintendo identifies GX as a GameCube title connected to the arcade version of F-Zero.
- Access to the Customize menu and F-Zero Shop. The reported entry point is exactly Customize > F-Zero Shop.
- Four compatible controller inputs. Nintendo Wire’s report says the sequence must be entered simultaneously on four controllers. It does not establish that four human players are required.
- The correct sequence for the machine you want. The codes use the buttons X, Y and Z plus the directional inputs LEFT and RIGHT.
The report does not specify a special timing window, a required game mode, a regional setting or a particular controller model. Do not add those conditions based on guesswork. If the code does not trigger, first check the menu, controller count and exact order, then treat the result as an unconfirmed compatibility issue rather than assuming an undocumented requirement.
Enter the codes at F-Zero Shop
- Start F-Zero GX and open the Customize menu.
- Select F-Zero Shop.
- Make sure four controller inputs are available before entering anything. The reported method specifically calls for simultaneous input on four controllers.
- Choose one golden-machine sequence from the table below.
- Enter every input in the listed order. Keep the directional inputs as LEFT or RIGHT; do not substitute an analog-stick direction unless your controller setup presents those inputs as the same game commands.
- After the sequence is accepted, check the available parts and identify the gold-part set for the named machine.
“Simultaneously on four controllers” is the wording used in the report. It confirms a four-controller input condition, but it does not explain whether every controller must reproduce the entire sequence, whether inputs are divided among controllers, or how tightly the presses must be synchronized. Because no official instruction clarifies that detail, follow the report’s wording as closely as your hardware allows and avoid assuming that one player operating a single controller will work.

Each entry has eight inputs. The letters are the GameCube face or shoulder-button labels used by the report, while LEFT and RIGHT are directional inputs. Copy the order exactly: changing one button, reversing LEFT and RIGHT, or skipping a repeated input creates a different sequence.
How to turn the unlocked parts into a golden car
The reported method grants parts, not a separate one-button “car” item. Once a code has unlocked a set, use the game’s customization controls to combine that machine’s gold parts into the corresponding vehicle.
- Identify which set was granted. A Thunderstorm code, for example, is associated with Thunderstorm parts, not a universal gold-part pool.
- Open the machine-customization area from the Customize menu.
- Select the named machine and equip its complete gold-part set.
- Save or confirm the customized machine using the normal on-screen controls for your copy of the game.
- Repeat the process for each of the five sets if you want all five golden cars.
The October 2026 report establishes the relationship between each sequence and its named parts, but it does not publish a more granular button-by-button assembly path. Menu wording can therefore vary with the screen you are using, while the essential rule remains the same: match all of a machine’s gold parts before expecting the completed golden version.

What each code covers
Thunderstorm
Enter X, Z, Y, Z, X, Z, Y, X to obtain the gold-part set reported for Thunderstorm. Assemble the full Thunderstorm set in customization rather than mixing those pieces with another machine’s parts.
El Dorado
Enter X, RIGHT, X, Z, Y, LEFT, LEFT, Z for the reported El Dorado set. The two consecutive LEFT inputs are intentional and must remain in that position.
Chrono Symphony
Enter LEFT, RIGHT, Z, RIGHT, LEFT, X, RIGHT, Z for Chrono Symphony. This sequence alternates directional and button inputs several times, so reading it aloud or checking each item one at a time can help prevent a swapped direction.

Bahamut
Enter Y, Y, Z, RIGHT, LEFT, Z, X, Y for Bahamut. The opening pair is two Y inputs in succession; do not reduce it to one press.
Gladiator
Enter RIGHT, Z, X, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, Z, X for Gladiator. The direction pattern includes LEFT twice in the middle and RIGHT again immediately afterward.
A careful troubleshooting checklist
Because the newly reported codes have not been published in a Nintendo or Sega manual, troubleshooting should separate an input mistake from an evidence limitation.

The F-Zero Shop does not respond
- Confirm that you are in Customize > F-Zero Shop, the location named by the report.
- Verify that four controller inputs are connected and active. A single-controller attempt does not satisfy the reported condition.
- Read the sequence from the table again, including every repeated button and every LEFT/RIGHT direction.
- Enter the full eight-input sequence without substituting a different button label or direction.
The wrong parts appear
- Check that you selected the intended row. The five sequences are similar in length but produce different named sets.
- Do not combine parts across machines while checking the result. The report links one code to one machine’s gold-part set.
- If the set still does not appear, record the game region, hardware arrangement and controller setup. The report does not establish universal regional or platform compatibility.
The machine is not visibly golden
A successful code is reported to unlock parts. It is not described as automatically replacing the machine with a finished golden car. Return to customization and equip the complete matching set. If the game offers separate body, cockpit or booster components on your screen, make sure every gold component belonging to that machine is selected.
You are unsure how tightly to synchronize the controllers
No timing interval is supplied in the report. The only established condition is simultaneous use of four controller inputs. Try to coordinate the four inputs as one sequence rather than treating the code as a normal solo cheat, but do not infer a precise frame window that has not been documented.

How the older GX/AX connection fits in
F-Zero GX has a documented connection to the arcade version. An archived Japanese official GX/AX promotion page describes inserting a GameCube memory card containing GX game data together with a special F-Zero license card in an F-Zero AX cabinet. That is historical context for how GX and AX content was linked; it is not evidence that the archived procedure unlocks all five golden machines in every region.

Recent reporting also connects the gold parts with limited Japanese events or AX-related access and presents the new input sequences as a way to obtain the five named sets. The available evidence does not establish that the older AX route and the newly reported four-controller method are interchangeable, nor that either route has identical results on every regional release.

That distinction matters if you are preserving an original console setup or trying to reproduce a result from an event-era machine. The five sequences are useful as a practical lead, but their status should remain attributed to the October 12, 2026 report until an official source documents them or the behavior is independently confirmed on the specific version you are using.
Quick procedure
- Connect four compatible GameCube controller inputs.
- Open Customize > F-Zero Shop.
- Choose one of the five eight-input sequences.
- Enter it simultaneously on the four controllers, preserving every button and direction.
- Locate the named gold-part set.
- Equip that complete set in customization to build the corresponding golden machine.
- Repeat for the other four sequences.
No particular new controller model is established as tested for this method. Use hardware that your GameCube setup recognizes as four controller inputs, and treat any failure outside the checklist as unresolved rather than as proof that a different undocumented code exists.
