You can turn a product photo into a short marketing clip in Pollo AI by choosing its Runway image-to-video model, uploading the image, adding optional motion guidance, and generating a video to review and download. The workflow is documented by Pollo AI; the model and export controls available to you may depend on the current interface and account.
Prepare a product photo that can animate well
Start with a sharp, well-lit image that shows the product clearly. Runway recommends those qualities in its product-ad guidance. A plain or controlled background and an unobstructed view are also useful practical choices, though they are not stated requirements.

Before uploading, decide which details must remain faithful to the real item: packaging, label text, logo, colors, proportions, and material appearance. Image-to-video generation can alter details as it creates motion, so treat the result as a draft rather than a verified product depiction.

Create the video in Pollo AI
- Open Pollo AI’s Runway image-to-video workflow and select the Runway model offered in the image-to-video generator.
- Upload the product image you prepared.
- Optionally enter a prompt describing one action and a camera treatment, such as a slow rotation, gentle push-in, or close-up pass over a product feature. Pollo documents prompt guidance as optional; Runway lists these kinds of product-ad scenes as examples.
- Adjust the settings the current interface exposes, such as model version or aspect ratio if available, then generate the clip.
- Review the result frame by frame. If the first take misses the mark, generate another and refine the instruction. Pollo notes that repeated generations may be needed for a desired result.
- Download or export the acceptable version using the options available in your Pollo account.
Do not assume every feature described for Runway’s direct service appears in Pollo, or that Pollo offers the same model versions, controls, export formats, or terms. Confirm what is selectable in the live Pollo interface.

Use a focused prompt and verify product details
A prompt is most useful when it specifies a single manageable movement, the intended framing, and what should not change. For example:
Animate this exact product as a polished vertical product ad. Preserve its packaging, label, logo, colors, proportions, and material appearance. Use a slow turntable rotation. Place it against a clean studio background with commercial lighting. Add no new text or extra objects.

Change “vertical” to “square” or “widescreen” to suit the destination, and replace the rotation with one movement that fits the product. This is a starting point, not a tested prompt or a guarantee of fidelity. Inspect the full clip for warped or changing labels, altered product geometry, unexpected objects, and invented claims before publishing.

Pollo’s workflow page also cautions that vertical uploads can produce unpredictable side content. Check the entire frame, not only the product center.

Choose an aspect ratio for the placement
Runway’s product-video guidance describes vertical, square, and widescreen outputs, but those descriptions do not establish that every option is available through Pollo’s Runway interface. Make or export a version suited to each placement rather than assuming one crop will work everywhere. Check Pollo’s current controls and preview the final framing on the intended e-commerce page, launch placement, or social ad.
Pollo describes product-image videos for e-commerce pages, launches, and social ads. Runway’s examples include rotations, cinematic reveals, lifestyle settings, and multi-scene spots. These are provider-described use cases, not independent evidence that a generated video will meet a particular quality standard or improve ad performance.

Check model controls, credits, and export terms
Pollo’s page describes version-dependent reference-image controls: Gen-3 Alpha allows two image keyframes, while Turbo allows three. Check whether those versions and controls are currently selectable in your account before planning a workflow around them.

- Whether the desired model and generation version are available in the account.
- How many reference images or keyframes the workflow accepts.
- Which prompt, camera-motion, and aspect-ratio controls are exposed.
- Current credit costs, plan restrictions, watermark rules, export options, and commercial-use terms.
- How accurately a sample output retains your product’s details.
The available provider information does not establish a controlled comparison of cost, quality, limits, or rights between the two routes. Runway’s direct-service plan page describes its Free plan as including 125 one-time credits and says Standard and above unlock every image and video model. Those are Runway service details, not Pollo credits or entitlements; check each service’s current terms.
Confirm rights before using the clip in an ad
Runway’s usage-rights guidance says users retain ownership and rights to content they upload and generate on Runway, and that Runway does not impose a non-commercial restriction on those creations. Pollo separately says content created on paid plans can be used commercially on its Marketing Studio page. These statements concern their respective services; Runway’s direct-service terms should not be assumed to govern a Runway-model generation made inside Pollo.
Before publishing, check the current terms for the exact service, plan, and model you used. Also make sure you have rights to the source image and to any music, fonts, logos, or other assets added during editing. Provider statements are not a legal guarantee for every asset or use.
