DraftKings uses separate settings for marketing notifications, postal mail, location-based offers, and certain third-party data sharing. To reduce promotions, switch off the controls for the channels you want to stop; changing one setting does not automatically turn off the others.
Turn off marketing emails and product notifications
- In the DraftKings Sports & Casino app: Sign in, tap the profile icon in the top-right corner, then tap Notification Preferences. Switch off the relevant marketing or product notification toggles.
- On desktop: Sign in, open the profile menu, choose Account Information, then Notification Preferences. Turn off the relevant options, including Marketing Promotions for email promotions.
The preference page also lists product email and push notifications. Review the current options because DraftKings says additional product notification settings may be added over time. You can also use the unsubscribe instructions in a marketing email or email [email protected] to opt out of further marketing emails. Service-related messages, such as service or policy notices, may still arrive.

Stop promotional postal mail
Turn off Postal Mail in Communication Settings or, in the app, in the profile’s notification preferences under Marketing Communications. This is separate from the email marketing setting. DraftKings says postal-mail preferences may take 3 to 5 business days to update. Its mailing guidance says Sportsbook and Casino promotional mail cannot be opted out of separately from each other, while DFS, Pick6, or Horse marketing offers can be opted out independently. See DraftKings’ direct-mail guidance.

Go to Account Center → Notification Preferences → Marketing and turn off location-based marketing. DraftKings describes permission for promotional offers based on location as optional and separate from location checks used to verify eligibility to play. According to its support article, declining this promotional permission does not prevent access to the account or eligible services. Do not disable all device location access if you still need location verification to play.

Opt out of specified third-party sharing
If you also want to stop the sharing DraftKings describes as being for marketing, advertising, or analytics, change the separate privacy control. The setting may be labeled Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
- App: Profile icon → Log In & Security → Login Security Preferences → Privacy.
- Desktop: Username or profile → Account Information → Login & Security → Privacy.
- Mobile web: Menu → Settings → Account Information → Login & Security → Privacy.
Set the data-sharing toggle to OFF. DraftKings says this stops the specified sharing with third parties for marketing, advertising, or analytics. The default can vary by location. The setting is not a promise that DraftKings stops collecting information or tracking use of its site or app: its Sportsbook privacy policy says tracking by DraftKings and service providers may continue after a sale-or-sharing opt-out.

What each setting controls
| Setting | What it addresses | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Marketing Promotions and product notification toggles | Email promotions and selected product email or push notifications | Does not itself switch off postal mail or the Privacy data-sharing control. |
| Postal Mail | Promotional mail | Separate from email preferences; allow 3 to 5 business days for the preference to update. |
| Location-based marketing | Offers based on location | Separate from location checks used to verify eligibility to play. |
| Privacy data-sharing toggle | Specified third-party sharing for marketing, advertising, or analytics | Does not mean all data collection or tracking stops. |
These preferences do not close your account, delete your data, or necessarily stop service and account notices. DraftKings describes separate options for privacy requests such as access, correction, or deletion in its Privacy Center. Available privacy rights and default settings may vary by location. If the menu wording has changed, look under Notification Preferences for communications and Login & Security → Privacy for data sharing.

If you want to stop betting, use responsible-play controls
Marketing preferences only change communications and specified data-sharing choices; they are not a substitute for tools to take a break or stop gambling. DraftKings lists budgets, limits, cool-off periods, and self-exclusion among its responsible-play tools. You can also contact a local responsible-gambling organization; the National Council on Problem Gambling provides support resources.
