Choose the browser or device’s full-page option to capture content below the screen. If that result still ends early, the right next step depends on your browser, operating system, device, and capture method; there is no universal fix established for every setup.
First check: did you capture the viewport or the full page?
A visible-area screenshot records the portion of the webpage currently shown in the browser window. A full-page screenshot is intended to include content beyond that visible area. In Firefox, the two choices are explicitly separate: Save visible and Save full page. If you chose the visible option, an image ending at the viewport is expected.

Before troubleshooting a persistent cutoff, identify the browser and version, operating system or device, and capture method. The steps below are verified for Firefox and iPhone; they should not be assumed to match every browser or device.

Use Firefox’s screenshot menu
- Open the webpage in Firefox.
- Right-click an empty part of the page and choose Take Screenshot. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS.
- Choose Save full page to capture beyond the visible viewport. Choose Save visible only if you want the current screen area.
- Save the image or copy it, then open the result and check whether the bottom is present.
Mozilla’s Firefox instructions note that interface details can differ by release or platform. Its support page shows a version selector covering Firefox 154 through 140 ESR and was marked updated three weeks before October 3, 2026. See Mozilla’s Firefox screenshot instructions.

Use Firefox Developer Tools
If you prefer Developer Tools, Mozilla documents two alternatives:
- Enable Take a screenshot of the entire page in Settings → Available Toolbox Buttons, then select the screenshot button in the toolbox.
- In the Web Console, use the
:screenshot --fullpagehelper. The--fullpageoption includes page portions outside the current window bounds.
These Developer Tools instructions are documented in the Firefox Source Docs; that page does not specify a Firefox version.

Capture a full webpage on iPhone
- Take a screenshot while viewing the webpage. Apple’s example uses Safari.
- If the screenshot thumbnail appears, tap it to open the screenshot.
- Choose Full Page, then save the result.
Apple says this option can capture content beyond the screen, including an entire webpage. Its instructions are for the iPhone guide for iOS 27: Take a screenshot on iPhone.

The documented capture routes establish how to request a full-page image; they do not establish one cause or fix for every incomplete result. Avoid assuming the page, browser, or device is at fault before comparing the setup.

- Record the setup: note browser and version, operating system or device, the exact capture option or command, and where the saved image ends. Include the page URL only if it is safe to share.
- Confirm the selected mode: make sure you chose full page rather than visible area. Reopen the saved file to check the actual image, rather than relying only on a preview.
- Try another documented full-page workflow for that platform: for example, compare Firefox’s screenshot menu with its Developer Tools route. Treat this as a diagnostic comparison, not a guaranteed repair.
- Describe the result precisely when seeking help: share the safe-to-share page details, browser/version, device or operating system, method used, and the point where the image ends. This makes it possible to investigate a page-specific or setup-specific problem without guessing.
The instructions covered here do not verify specific steps for Chrome, Edge, Android, or macOS Safari. Chrome’s Command Menu documentation, for example, does not itself confirm a full-page screenshot command: Chrome DevTools Command Menu.
