Start by identifying which connection is failing. A Frame that cannot join your router needs network troubleshooting; a Frame that is online but has missing Art Store rows may be showing a Samsung service change rather than a Wi‑Fi fault. Open the TV’s Network Status screen, test another device on the same router, and follow the branch that matches what you see. Reset the TV’s network before considering a factory reset, because a factory reset erases your settings.
Identify the failure before changing settings
The same blank screen or missing artwork can have several causes. First decide whether the television cannot connect to Wi‑Fi, connects to the router but has no internet, or has working internet while only Art Store content is unavailable.

| What you see | What it usually indicates | First action |
|---|---|---|
| The TV cannot join the wireless network | A TV-to-router problem such as an incorrect password, weak signal, interference, router restriction, or incompatible network setting | Open Network Status, verify the saved network and password, then check the router and signal |
| The TV reaches the router but reports no internet | A router-to-internet or internet-service problem rather than a failure of the TV’s Wi‑Fi radio | Test another device on the same router and check the router’s internet connection |
| The TV is online, but the Art Store or ART rows do not load | An account, service-availability, software, or content-catalog issue | Confirm internet access and Samsung Account sign-in, then check whether the missing item is a discontinued row |
| You only need to display your own pictures | You can use SmartThings or an offline USB import without repairing the online Art Store | Use Art Mode’s My Collection workflow with SmartThings or a USB device |
Network Status is the key dividing line. It shows the connection from the TV to the router and from the router to the internet. A break at the first link points to local wireless setup; a break at the second can be an internet-provider outage or router problem. Do not assume the television is defective until another device has been tested on the same network.
Check the router and wireless conditions
Test another device on the same network
- Connect a phone or computer to the same Wi‑Fi network used by the Frame.
- Open a website or another internet service.
- If the other device also fails, troubleshoot the router or internet service first. If it works, continue with the TV-specific checks below.
This simple comparison prevents you from resetting the TV when the actual failure is upstream of it.

Restart the router safely
- Check that the router’s power cable and incoming internet cable are firmly seated.
- Unplug the router from power for about one minute.
- Reconnect it and wait until its normal connection lights return.
- Run Network Status on the Frame again and retry the connection.
A router restart clears a temporary connection state without changing the TV’s stored settings. If other devices remain offline after the restart, contact your internet provider or use the provider’s outage guidance rather than repeatedly resetting the television.
Improve the wireless link
Samsung recommends moving the router closer to the TV and clearing obstructions when the wireless signal is weak. Thick walls, cabinets, other radio equipment, and distance can make the TV fail even while a nearby phone works. Ethernet is an optional stable connection when a cable is available; it is not required to diagnose Wi‑Fi.
If the router offers both bands and the 5 GHz signal does not reach the TV reliably, Samsung Gulf support lists trying 2.4 GHz as one network-specific option. This is not a universal fix: 2.4 GHz generally reaches farther, while the best choice depends on your router, interference, and home layout.

Check settings that can block one device
When other devices work but the Frame does not, Samsung Gulf lists several possible causes:
- The TV has an old or incorrect Wi‑Fi password saved.
- The router is using MAC filtering or another access restriction that excludes the TV.
- The TV or router firmware is out of date.
- Wireless interference is preventing a stable connection.
- The TV’s IP or DNS settings are incorrect.
Re-select the correct network and enter its password carefully. If your router uses an allow-list, add the TV according to the router manufacturer’s instructions or temporarily use a permitted network for testing. Do not change advanced IP or DNS values at random; inspect them through Network Status first and restore automatic settings unless your network administrator has supplied specific values.
Use Network Status to locate the break
Open the Frame’s Network Status screen from the TV’s network settings. Samsung’s labels differ by model and software generation, so use the wording shown on your set or consult its model-specific e‑Manual if the path below is different.

When the TV-to-router link fails
Concentrate on the wireless name, password, signal, router restrictions, and band selection. Stand near the router for a test, remove the saved network if the menu offers that option, and reconnect. If the TV still cannot establish the first link after the router restart and signal checks, perform the TV network reset described in the next section.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhen the router-to-internet link fails
Because the TV has reached the router, changing the TV’s Wi‑Fi password or repeatedly resetting its network is unlikely to restore internet service. Verify another device, inspect the router’s internet indicator, and resolve the provider or modem problem. Once another device is online, run Network Status again before changing TV settings.
Reset the TV network and update its software
Reset and reconnect the network
Samsung Canada’s support flow places a network reset ahead of a factory reset. On many Frame models, the route is Connection > Network, followed by the network-reset command. Menu names vary, so select the equivalent network-reset option shown on your model.
- Open the TV’s settings and go to Connection > Network, or the equivalent network menu.
- Choose the option to reset the network and confirm.
- After the reset completes, choose the Wi‑Fi network again.
- Enter the Wi‑Fi password and wait for both TV-to-router and router-to-internet checks to pass.
- Open an online TV service or the Art Store to verify that the connection remains active.
A network reset is the appropriate next step when the saved connection is damaged or the TV cannot negotiate with the router. It is different from a factory reset and should be attempted first.
Install available TV software updates
Samsung’s Caribbean guidance recommends checking for software updates as part of network troubleshooting. Open the TV’s software-update menu, commonly found under a Support or Device Care section, and follow the on-screen check. The exact label and route depend on the model and smart-menu version. If your menu does not match, use the printed manual or the model-specific e‑Manual rather than guessing at a hidden service menu.

Update the software only after the TV has a usable internet connection, unless your model provides an official offline update method. A successful update does not restore Art Store rows that Samsung has retired; it can, however, correct compatibility problems in the TV’s network or smart features.

Reserve a factory reset for the final TV-side step
Do not begin with a factory reset. Samsung presents it as a later step after router checks, Network Status diagnosis, network reset, and reconnection. The procedure erases TV settings and requires the initial setup and internet connection again. Before using it, record picture settings, installed-app sign-ins, and any other configuration you will need to restore. If the TV still cannot connect after the preceding steps, Samsung directs you to Support with the TV’s model number and the correct regional support site.
When Wi‑Fi works but the Art Store does not
Verify the two basic requirements
Samsung’s Art Mode guidance states: “A Samsung Account and internet connection are required.” Confirm both conditions on the television. A phone connected to Wi‑Fi does not prove that the Frame itself is online, so check Network Status on the TV. Then verify that the intended Samsung Account is signed in.
SmartThings and other network-based features use the same requirements. If you are enrolling in an Art Store subscription, use the membership menu inside the TV’s Art Store rather than treating sign-in to the television as proof that enrollment is complete.

If the TV is online and the account is signed in, check whether the problem affects the whole Art Store or only a named row. Samsung says that some rows and third-party entries are no longer accessible after feature updates. Its examples include My Photo Album items, Complimentary content, and certain third-party apps in More On. A row disappearing after an update is therefore not, by itself, evidence of a Wi‑Fi failure.
For personal images, Samsung lists the current path ART > My Art Store > My Photos and Favorites. For free online artwork, use ART > Art Streams. Samsung reported approximately 30 free artworks monthly in 2026, but availability can vary by country and by the TV’s release year. A catalog difference between two regions or model generations may be expected rather than something a network reset can repair.
Check content availability before repeating resets
- If all online services fail, return to Network Status and the network branch.
- If online services work but a specific ART row is absent, check the current ART paths and the model’s software documentation.
- If personal photos are present but a subscription artwork collection is missing, inspect the Art Store membership state and account sign-in.
- If a third-party entry in More On or a Complimentary item disappeared after an update, treat it as a service/catalog change unless Samsung lists a restoration step for your model.
Country and release-year qualification matters: Samsung cautions that Art Store availability is not identical everywhere. Do not interpret the presence of Art Streams or a particular row on another person’s Frame as proof that your television should offer it.

Display personal photos without the online Art Store
Samsung documents two ways to show your own images: SmartThings and USB import. These methods are useful while an online service is unavailable, but neither repairs Wi‑Fi, restores discontinued rows, or grants access to subscription artwork.
Use SmartThings
With the TV online and the Samsung Account requirement satisfied, use Samsung’s SmartThings photo workflow to send personal pictures to the Frame. The exact controls can differ by app and TV generation; follow the current prompts shown for your model. If SmartThings cannot find the TV, troubleshoot account and network connectivity rather than assuming the photo feature itself is broken.
Import from USB storage
- Copy the photographs you want to display to a USB storage device.
- Connect the device to the Frame’s One Connect Box.
- Enter Art Mode and open My Collection.
- Select the USB device.
- Choose Save, then choose Save Selected for the images to import.
- Open the saved collection and select the photo for display.
This is an offline display workaround. It can put a picture on the screen even when the Art Store is unavailable, but it does not make the TV connect to Wi‑Fi or bring back online catalog entries.
Choose the next step from the symptom
| Observed state | Best next step | Reversibility and caution |
|---|---|---|
| Other devices are offline | Restart the router, inspect cabling, and check the internet provider | Does not alter TV settings |
| Other devices work; TV cannot reach the router | Verify password and signal, check restrictions, then reset and reconnect the TV network | Network reset is targeted; reconnect the saved Wi‑Fi afterward |
| TV reaches router but not internet | Resolve the router-to-internet problem and retest | Changing Art settings will not repair the upstream link |
| TV is online; Art Store membership content is missing | Confirm Samsung Account sign-in and membership in the Art Store menu | Availability can depend on country and release year |
| Only a named ART row is missing | Check the current My Photos and Favorites or Art Streams paths and Samsung’s feature-availability notes | Some rows and third-party entries are no longer accessible |
| You need a picture immediately | Import it from USB through Art Mode > My Collection | Offline workaround; it does not fix network or service access |
| All troubleshooting fails | Contact Samsung Support with the model number and regional details | Use factory reset only after support or the documented sequence, because it erases settings |
When to contact Samsung Support
Escalate when the router works for other devices but the Frame still cannot connect after Network Status diagnosis, router restart, signal and restriction checks, network reset, reconnection, and software-update checks. Have the exact model number, software version if visible, the Network Status result, and the steps already attempted. Samsung’s support instructions vary by region, so use the support site for the TV’s country.
Also contact Samsung when a paid Art Store membership is active, the TV has internet access and the correct Samsung Account, but the membership content still fails after checking the Art Store membership menu. Explain whether the problem affects every artwork or only a particular row; that distinction helps support separate an account issue from a catalog change.

Use Network Status and another device on the same router to distinguish a TV-to-router fault from an internet-service fault. Restart the router, reset and reconnect the TV’s network, and update software before considering a factory reset. When Wi‑Fi is healthy but ART content is missing, verify the Samsung Account and membership, then check whether Samsung has retired that row or limited it by country or release year. SmartThings and USB import can display personal photos, but only the network and account steps can restore online features.
