Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThere is no confirmed, title-specific Switch 2 fix for crashes, stuttering, or failed downloads in the official information reviewed. Start by recording the exact error code, when the problem occurs, and whether a download finishes; then check that the game and console are up to date before trying disruptive steps. Nintendo Canada lists the game as released on September 18, 2026, with a 23.7 GB download, while WB Games says updates require internet access but playing does not.
What is confirmed about the Switch 2 version
Nintendo Canada’s store listing gives the release date as September 18, 2026, and the digital download size as 23.7 GB. Those are Canadian store details; availability, price, and file size can differ by region or change. The 23.7 GB figure is the listed download size, not a guarantee of the total space needed after future updates.

WB Games’ official game FAQ says an internet connection is not required to play, but online access is needed to download game updates. Nintendo Switch Online is not required to play. Nintendo lists handheld, tabletop, and TV modes, with one-to-two players on a single system; the available official information does not connect any of those modes to the reported problems.
Before troubleshooting, capture the symptoms
These details help distinguish a failed download from a launch crash or an in-game performance issue. None of them, on its own, proves a cause.

If the game crashes or will not launch
The reviewed WB Games FAQ does not document a confirmed Switch 2 crash cause, a game-specific repair sequence, or a known-bugs list. Treat the steps below as basic checks, not a confirmed fix for this title.
- Identify the point of failure. Note whether the game closes immediately, stops at a particular screen, or crashes only after play begins. Save the exact on-screen error or code.
- Check for software updates. Confirm that both the game and the console report current software before attempting a reinstall or other disruptive measure.
- See whether the crash is repeatable. Record what you were doing and where it occurred. If it happens consistently, that information is more useful to support than a general report that the game “crashes.”
- Contact support if it continues. Send WB Games Support the error, game version, failure point, and checks already tried. For a Nintendo eShop or console error, include the code when contacting Nintendo support.
If gameplay stutters or feels uneven
No reviewed official source publishes a Switch 2 frame-rate target, a performance mode, or a confirmed stuttering defect for this game. There is therefore no verified setting to change or title-specific performance fix to promise.

- Check whether the stutter recurs in the same area or during the same action, and note the game version.
- Compare handheld and TV play if convenient; tabletop is also listed as a supported mode. A difference between modes is useful to report, but does not establish the cause.
- Note whether the console feels unusually hot when the symptom occurs. This is an observation for troubleshooting, not proof that heat caused the stutter.
- If the behavior is persistent and reproducible, report the location, mode, game version, and what was happening to WB Games Support.
If a download fails, stalls, or finishes without launching
First determine which of those three outcomes describes the problem. A stalled or failed eShop download is different from a completed download followed by a launch failure, so keep the Nintendo eShop error code and the download’s final status.

- Check available storage. Compare the free space shown on the console with the 23.7 GB Canadian store listing. The listing describes the base download; it does not establish the exact storage requirement for every update.
- Check internet access for updates. WB Games confirms that downloading game updates requires online access. Playing the game itself does not require an internet connection.
- Record what happens. Note the exact error code and whether the download fails outright, stops making progress, or completes but the game will not start.
- Escalate with the details. Contact Nintendo support for eShop or console download errors, and include the code and download stage. If the download completes but the game crashes on launch, give WB Games the game version and the point of failure.
The available official information does not establish that buying a physical edition bypasses updates or resolves download problems. It also does not identify a storage card or accessory as a fix.

When to stop trying generic fixes
If the same crash or stutter can be reproduced, or the same download error returns after the basic checks, send support a concise report rather than repeatedly reinstalling or changing unrelated settings. Include the exact error, failure stage, game and console software versions, available storage, play mode if relevant, and the troubleshooting already attempted. The sources reviewed here do not confirm that this game appears on a Nintendo compatibility issue list.
The LEGO Group’s May 19, 2026 announcement said the Switch 2 version would arrive later that year; Nintendo Canada’s later listing gives the September 18, 2026 release date. The newer store listing is the relevant release-status reference: LEGO Group announcement and Nintendo Canada listing.
