How to transfer your progress to The Crew Motorfest

By Freedom251 Team · · 13 min read

“Transfer your progress” can mean two different things in The Crew Motorfest. If you are moving from The Crew 2, use Import My Collection to bring eligible vehicles and vanities into Motorfest. If you are moving an existing Motorfest career to another platform, use Ubisoft’s automatic cross-progression by signing in with the same Ubisoft account. These systems are separate, and the Nintendo Switch 2 has an important exception: Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save work there, but The Crew 2 collection import does not.

Choose the transfer you actually need

Before changing anything, identify what you are trying to move. The two options have different rules, different results and different platform limits. Calling both features a “save transfer” can lead to the wrong menu choice or an incorrect expectation about what will appear.

Your goal Feature What it does Critical limitation
Bring your old garage from The Crew 2 into Motorfest Collection Import Copies eligible vehicles and vanities from your The Crew 2 collection One-way and irreversible after completion; performance parts are excluded
Continue a Motorfest career on another supported platform Cross-progression and cross-save Loads Motorfest progress when you use the same Ubisoft account Store purchases and platform entitlements generally do not follow you

Importing a The Crew 2 collection does not move your Motorfest career between platforms. Conversely, cross-progression does not convert a The Crew 2 garage into Motorfest vehicles. Decide which game contains the data you care about before you launch the destination version.

There is also a practical choice inside Collection Import: import immediately or defer it. Deferral is useful if you want to begin Motorfest first and inspect its opening experience, but confirmation is permanent. Cross-progression is a different account-based service and does not have that one-time import decision.

How to import your collection from The Crew 2

Ubisoft’s collection-import feature is free. It works from The Crew 2 to The Crew Motorfest when both games are associated with the same Ubisoft account. The game checks which items are available in Motorfest and imports the eligible part of your collection rather than cloning every record from the older game.

Before you launch Motorfest

  • Identify the Ubisoft account connected to the The Crew 2 save you want to use.
  • Sign in to that same Ubisoft account when starting Motorfest. A different account can have a different save and collection, so changing accounts is not a substitute for transferring data.
  • Decide whether you want the import immediately or want to begin Motorfest without it. You can defer the choice, but you cannot undo a completed import.
  • Confirm that the destination platform is eligible for Collection Import. PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC are listed by Ubisoft; Nintendo Switch 2 is specifically excluded.

The account check matters more than the console or PC on which you last played. If you have used more than one Ubisoft account, write down which account owns the intended The Crew 2 save and use that identity consistently. A platform login by itself does not tell Motorfest which Ubisoft collection you mean.

Import during the first launch

  1. Start The Crew Motorfest on a supported platform and complete the initial sign-in using the Ubisoft account linked to your The Crew 2 save.
  2. When the game presents the collection choice, select Import My Collection.
  3. Review the confirmation carefully. The import is free, but Ubisoft says the completed action cannot be reversed.
  4. Allow the game to finish processing before closing it or changing accounts. Your eligible vehicles and vanities should then be available in Motorfest.

Do not treat the confirmation as a temporary preview. It commits the collection-import choice for the Motorfest account. If you are undecided, choose Start From Scratch instead; that preserves the option to import later through settings.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Import after choosing “Start From Scratch”

You do not have to make the decision on the first screen. If you selected Start From Scratch, open Motorfest’s main menu and follow this path:

  1. Choose Options.
  2. Open Game Settings.
  3. Select Import My Collection.
  4. Confirm only after checking that the account and the irreversible-import warning are correct.

Deferring the decision leaves you free to play first. Starting from scratch does not permanently remove the import option; it remains available through the settings path above. Deferral is not the same as deleting the old collection, and it does not send any Motorfest progress back to The Crew 2.

What the collection import transfers

The import is selective rather than a complete copy of every item in your old garage. Ubisoft’s guidance describes the included categories and the eligibility test as follows:

Item from The Crew 2 Motorfest result How to interpret it
Vehicles available in both games Eligible vehicles are imported The vehicle must exist in the Motorfest catalogue; an item owned in The Crew 2 is not automatically eligible if Motorfest does not support it.
Vanities available in both games Eligible vanities are imported Only matching, supported vanity items can appear in Motorfest.
Performance parts Not imported Plan to earn or acquire Motorfest performance parts separately.
Vehicles not yet available in Motorfest Not available at the time of import Ubisoft says additional vehicles may be added to Motorfest later; availability can therefore change after your original import.

“Eligible” means more than “I owned it previously.” The vehicle or vanity must be supported in both games. If Motorfest does not contain the item when the import is evaluated, it cannot appear as part of that import. The same rule explains why an older garage can look smaller after transfer.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Performance parts are a separate category. Even when a vehicle itself imports, its upgrade inventory does not come with it. Check the car or bike in Motorfest and plan to obtain the Motorfest parts through the game’s normal systems.

The direction is strictly one way: The Crew 2 to Motorfest. The feature is not a synchronization service and does not send Motorfest items back to The Crew 2. It also does not merge two different Ubisoft accounts into one collection.

Why the import cannot be undone

Collection Import is a one-time decision for the imported collection. Once you confirm it, Ubisoft says there is no reversal button that restores the pre-import state. Treat the confirmation as permanent even though you can postpone it.

  • Check the Ubisoft account name before confirming.
  • Make sure you are importing the collection you actually want; multiple accounts can contain different The Crew 2 saves.
  • Do not assume that an unavailable vehicle will be added retroactively to an already imported garage. Ubisoft only says that more vehicles may be added to Motorfest later, not that every previously unavailable item will be inserted automatically.
  • Remember that performance parts are excluded, so an imported vehicle may still need Motorfest-specific upgrades.
  • Do not select import merely to test the feature. If you are still comparing a fresh start with your old garage, defer the choice until you are ready to commit.

Which platforms support collection import?

Ubisoft’s 2023 collection-import FAQ lists PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. That list predates Nintendo Switch 2. Ubisoft’s October 7, 2026 Switch 2 information gives the current exception: Motorfest’s cross-progression and cross-save are supported on Switch 2, but importing a The Crew 2 collection is not available there.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Platform The Crew 2 collection import Motorfest cross-progression/cross-save
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 Listed by Ubisoft Supported when using the same Ubisoft account
Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One Listed by Ubisoft Supported when using the same Ubisoft account
PC Listed by Ubisoft Supported when using the same Ubisoft account
Nintendo Switch 2 Not available, according to Ubisoft’s October 2026 FAQ Supported, including cross-save

If Switch 2 is your target, you can continue a Motorfest save there with cross-progression, but you cannot use that system to import your The Crew 2 collection. The Switch 2 exception does not change the rules on the other listed platforms.

How Motorfest cross-progression works between platforms

Ubisoft Help describes Motorfest cross-progression as automatic across supported platforms. There is no separate export file or manual save-transfer code. The requirement is that you sign in with the same Ubisoft account on each platform.

  1. Install and launch Motorfest on the second supported platform.
  2. At sign-in, use the Ubisoft account that holds your existing Motorfest progress.
  3. Allow the game to connect online and load the account data.
  4. Continue from the progress associated with that account rather than creating or selecting a separate account.

Automatic does not mean that platform ownership disappears. You still need access to Motorfest on the destination platform. Ubisoft’s game page lists versions for PlayStation, Xbox and PC; cross-progression links account data when you can run the game there, but it is not a free license for every storefront.

Cross-progression is distinct from cross-platform content sharing. Ubisoft says earned Bucks, Crew Credits, cosmetics, liveries, Prestige Tickets, vanities and vehicles can be shared through the supported account system. That does not mean every purchase made on one platform is granted on another.

What does not follow you between platform stores?

Purchased content is the main boundary. Ubisoft’s content-sharing guidance says content bought through an in-game or platform store is not shared across platforms. The Switch 2 FAQ specifically names purchases made through Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store or Steam as examples that do not transfer to Switch 2.

Type of Motorfest data Cross-platform behavior
Earned Bucks and Crew Credits Ubisoft lists them as shareable through cross-platform progression.
Earned cosmetics, liveries and vanities Ubisoft lists them as shareable.
Prestige Tickets Ubisoft lists them as shareable.
Vehicles earned in Motorfest Ubisoft lists them as shareable.
Items purchased through another platform’s store Not shared across platforms; you may need to obtain them again on the destination platform.

For example, moving a save to Switch 2 can bring eligible account progress, but a purchase made through PlayStation, Xbox, PC storefronts or another platform’s store is not automatically converted into a Switch 2 entitlement. Do not buy a second copy solely because you expect a save transfer to move store ownership; first confirm that you have access to Motorfest on the destination platform and understand which purchases are platform-bound.

This distinction also prevents a common troubleshooting mistake: seeing your earned vehicle or currency and assuming a missing paid item means the save failed. Check whether the missing item was bought through a store before treating it as a synchronization problem.

Import versus cross-progression: practical examples

You played The Crew 2 and are starting Motorfest

Use Collection Import. Sign in with the account tied to your old save, choose Import My Collection at first launch, or use Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection later. Expect eligible vehicles and vanities, not performance parts. If you are on Switch 2, this route is unavailable.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

You already play Motorfest on PlayStation and want to use Xbox

Use cross-progression. Launch Motorfest on Xbox with the same Ubisoft account. Your supported account progress can load automatically, while store-specific purchases remain subject to the platform-sharing restrictions. This is not a second The Crew 2 import.

You want to move from The Crew 2 to Motorfest on Switch 2

The Switch 2 limitation changes the answer: Collection Import is unavailable there. You may still use Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save to continue a Motorfest save on Switch 2, but that feature cannot substitute for importing a The Crew 2 garage. To use Collection Import, choose one of Ubisoft’s listed PlayStation, Xbox or PC platforms instead.

You imported on one platform and then changed platforms

The original collection import and the later platform move are separate events. Once the eligible items are in your Motorfest account, use cross-progression to access the Motorfest account on another supported platform. Store-purchased content can still be excluded from the destination platform. The later platform move does not re-evaluate the old The Crew 2 garage as a new import.

You chose Start From Scratch but changed your mind

You can still open Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection and make the import decision later. Starting from scratch is a deferral, not a permanent opt-out. Once you confirm the import, however, the action cannot be reversed.

Troubleshooting a missing collection or save

The “Import My Collection” option is missing

  • Check whether you are on Nintendo Switch 2. Ubisoft says collection import is not available on that platform.
  • On other listed platforms, verify that you are in Motorfest’s main menu and have opened Options, then Game Settings.
  • Confirm that the signed-in Ubisoft account is the one associated with the intended The Crew 2 save.
  • If you already completed the import, the option may no longer represent a reversible operation; the completed action cannot be undone.
  • Do not confuse the cross-progression settings for an import menu. Continuing Motorfest on another platform does not create a new The Crew 2 collection import.

The import did not bring every vehicle

Check eligibility first. Ubisoft limits the import to vehicles available in both games. A vehicle absent from Motorfest, or one not yet added there, will not appear as an imported Motorfest vehicle. The feature also excludes performance parts, so inspect the vehicle itself separately from its upgrade inventory.

Ubisoft says additional vehicles may be added to Motorfest later. That statement confirms that the catalogue can change, but it does not promise that an item unavailable during your import will be inserted automatically afterward. Do not assume a later catalogue addition reverses the original result.

Motorfest progress is missing on the second platform

  • Sign out and check the Ubisoft account identity on both platforms.
  • Do not create a new Ubisoft account during the destination platform’s first launch if you intend to continue the existing save.
  • Reconnect to the internet and relaunch Motorfest so the account data can synchronize.
  • Separate progress from purchases: earned items may share while store entitlements do not.
  • Check that the destination platform is supported for Motorfest cross-progression and that you have access to the game there.

If the account is correct and the platform is supported but the expected data still does not appear, use Ubisoft’s current support channel for account-specific assistance. The published guidance does not provide a manual save-file repair procedure, an export-file workaround or a way to reverse a completed collection import.

A safe decision checklist

  1. Define the source: Is the data in The Crew 2, or is it already Motorfest progress?
  2. Define the destination: Are you beginning Motorfest, or continuing it on another platform?
  3. Verify the account: Use the Ubisoft account linked to the source save.
  4. Check the platform: Switch 2 supports Motorfest cross-progression but not The Crew 2 collection import.
  5. Review what moves: Collection Import covers eligible vehicles and vanities; cross-progression covers supported earned account data, while store purchases can remain platform-bound.
  6. Choose import timing: Select Import My Collection immediately or defer with Start From Scratch.
  7. Make the irreversible choice carefully: You can defer Collection Import, but a completed import cannot be reversed.
  8. Allow online sign-in: Cross-progression relies on the same Ubisoft account and connected account data rather than a manually copied save file.

Frequently asked questions

Is The Crew 2 collection import free?

Yes. Ubisoft describes Collection Import as free. That does not make platform-store purchases transferable, and it does not provide a Motorfest license on a platform where you do not already have access.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can I import after I start Motorfest from scratch?

Yes. Open the main menu, choose Options, select Game Settings, then choose Import My Collection. The completed import is still irreversible.

Do performance parts transfer from The Crew 2?

No. The import covers eligible vehicles and vanities, not performance parts. Imported vehicles may therefore require Motorfest-specific upgrades.

Can I transfer a The Crew 2 garage from one Ubisoft account to another?

No account-merging method is described. The required setup is the same Ubisoft account associated with the The Crew 2 save, so signing into a different account will not substitute for that link.

Rank #4

Does cross-progression transfer everything I bought?

No. Ubisoft distinguishes shareable earned data from content bought through an in-game or platform store. Purchases made through Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store or Steam are specifically identified as not transferring to Switch 2.

What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Does Switch 2 support both transfer features?

Switch 2 supports Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save, but Ubisoft’s October 2026 information says The Crew 2 Collection Import is not available there.

Can an unavailable vehicle appear later if Ubisoft adds it to Motorfest?

Ubisoft says additional vehicles may be added later, but does not promise automatic insertion into a previously imported collection. Treat an unavailable item as not transferred unless Ubisoft provides a later update.

Is there a manual save file I can copy?

No manual file-copy procedure is provided in Ubisoft’s guidance. Collection Import is started from Motorfest’s menu, while cross-progression is automatic through the same Ubisoft account.

Official guidance and dates

Ubisoft’s Help article “Importing your vehicle collection from The Crew 2 to The Crew Motorfest” provides the current menu path and import rules. Ubisoft’s June 29, 2023 FAQ explains the original collection-import feature and its listed PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms. Ubisoft Help’s cross-progression guidance describes automatic progression between supported platforms, while its content-sharing guidance, updated October 7, 2026, distinguishes earned data from store purchases. The October 7, 2026 Switch 2 announcement, covering the version released October 8, supplies the newer platform exception described above.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Collection Import and cross-progression?

Collection Import brings eligible vehicles and vanities from The Crew 2 into Motorfest. Cross-progression continues an existing Motorfest account on another supported platform. They are separate features.

Can I undo an import?

No. You can defer the decision, but Ubisoft says a completed Collection Import cannot be reversed.

What transfers from The Crew 2?

Eligible vehicles and vanities available in both games. Performance parts do not transfer.

Why are my purchases missing on another platform?

Store-bought content is generally platform-bound. Ubisoft specifically says purchases through Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store or Steam do not transfer to Switch 2.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can I use Collection Import on Switch 2?

No. Ubisoft’s October 2026 Switch 2 information says import is unavailable there, although Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save are supported.

The Bottom Line

Use Import My Collection to bring eligible The Crew 2 vehicles and vanities into Motorfest, and use the same Ubisoft account for automatic Motorfest cross-progression on another supported platform. Import is free but one-way, excludes performance parts and cannot be used on Switch 2; store purchases generally remain tied to their original platform.
