To move stocks and cash out of Webull, open an account at the brokerage receiving them and submit an ACATS transfer request there—not through Webull. Give the receiving broker your Webull account number with WEB prefixed and Webull’s DTC number, 0158. Before submitting, check which assets can transfer, leave cash for Webull’s $75 outgoing fee, and resolve unsettled activity or margin debt.
Before you start: check the account and assets
Confirm with the receiving broker that it accepts the account registration and assets you plan to move. Each broker sets its own eligibility rules, fees, forms and processing expectations; Webull’s instructions do not establish what a particular receiving firm will accept.

- Generally supported by Webull’s overview: U.S. exchange-listed stocks, ETFs, ADRs and eligible options, subject to tradability on Webull. See Webull’s Transfer Basics.
- Not transferable through this process: fractional shares, Treasury bonds and money market funds. Webull says these will be liquidated after the transfer is initiated.
- Options: options expiring within two weeks cannot be transferred.
- Unsettled activity: trades and deposits must settle before an ACATS transfer can complete. Recent deposits may be held for up to 30 days from settlement.
- Margin debit: an account with a margin balance can transfer only in full. A partial transfer request with a debit balance will be rejected.
These restrictions and timing details are listed in Webull’s outgoing-transfer instructions. If an asset is ineligible, ask both brokers what to do with it before you initiate the request; Webull says unsupported assets will be liquidated after initiation.
Choose a full or partial transfer
| Request type | What it does | Key checks |
|---|---|---|
| Full | Moves eligible assets and cash; Webull closes the account after the transfer completes. | Make sure the receiving broker can accept the account registration and intended holdings. The transfer fee is $75. |
| Partial | Moves selected eligible holdings or cash; the Webull account may remain open. | A partial request with a margin debit will be rejected. For securities transferred, the lots sent depend on Webull’s active tax-lot method. The transfer fee is $75. |
Webull’s current published fee is $75 for either a full or partial outgoing transfer; it is deducted from cash. Its pricing page also lists $75 per outgoing stock transfer. The receiving broker may charge a separate fee, so confirm its amount directly and leave enough cash in Webull to cover the charge.

Submit the ACATS request through the receiving broker
- Open or select the receiving account. Ask the broker how to initiate an ACATS transfer and confirm that the account registration matches what it can accept.
- Find your Webull account number. Webull says it is available on your account statement. Enter it with
WEBprefixed when the receiving broker asks for the delivering account number. - Provide Webull’s DTC number. Enter
0158as the delivering broker’s DTC number. - Choose full or partial. If partial, specify the holdings or cash requested using the receiving broker’s form. Confirm the lot-selection implications with Webull if a particular tax lot matters.
- Review and submit the request to the receiving broker. Webull’s instruction is explicit: “To transfer assets out of your account, you’ll need to submit the request through your receiving broker.” Follow that firm’s form and documentation requirements.
What to expect while the transfer is pending
Webull estimates an outgoing ACATS transfer typically takes 3–5 business days, but this is not a guaranteed deadline; timing depends on circumstances and processing by both firms. Webull says trading, deposits and withdrawals are restricted while assets are being confirmed. Avoid starting new trades or deposits during this period, and plan for reduced access to the account.
A full transfer closes the Webull account once it is complete. Webull’s transfer restrictions and rejections guidance explains that assets or funds arriving after closure may be handled through a residual sweep.

Verify positions, cash and tax lots after arrival
Once the receiving account shows the transfer, compare the arriving positions and cash with your Webull records. For securities, check share quantities, acquisition dates and cost basis. In a partial transfer, which lots move depends on the active tax-lot method; Webull gives FIFO and LIFO as examples.

Keep your prior statements and transfer records, and review the IRS’s Publication 550 (2025) for investment recordkeeping guidance. If basis or dates are missing or inconsistent after the stated delivery window, contact the receiving broker and provide the records needed to correct them.
