You can transfer Osmo Action 6 footage to a phone with DJI Mimo or a supported OTG connection, or to a phone or computer with a microSD card reader. To copy files from either the camera’s built-in storage or its microSD card to a computer, connect the camera by USB-C and choose File Transfer: USB when prompted. The right method depends on where the footage is saved and what device you’re copying it to.

Transfer footage to a phone with DJI Mimo

- Install and open DJI Mimo on your phone.
- Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the phone.
- In Mimo, tap the Camera icon and connect to the Osmo Action 6.
- Open the camera album or playback area, select the footage, and download it.

Use OTG to transfer to a phone or tablet
DJI lists OTG export as supported for Osmo Action 6, but the export information points to a separate guide for the connection procedure. Because the steps can depend on the phone, tablet, and accessory, follow DJI’s OTG instructions for your setup rather than assuming that one adapter or sequence works for every device. Copy footage to a computer over USB-C
This method can access footage in either built-in storage or on the microSD card. Use a USB-C cable that supports data transfer; a charge-only cable will not provide file access.

- Power on the Osmo Action 6.
- Connect the camera to the computer with a USB-C data cable.
- If the camera displays transfer choices, tap File Transfer: USB.
- Open the camera storage on the computer and navigate to DCIM > DJI 001.
- Select the photos and videos you need and copy them to a folder on the computer.
On Windows, open the camera drive to find the folder. On macOS, allow the accessory connection if prompted, then look for the camera in Finder. DJI notes that computer interfaces can vary by product and firmware, so the exact display may differ. [DJI export guide]
Transfer the microSD card with a reader

- Turn off the camera and remove its microSD card.
- Insert the card into a compatible reader.
- Connect the reader to the computer or phone.
- Open the card’s files and copy the footage to the destination device.
If the files you need are saved in built-in storage, use Mimo for a phone transfer or connect the camera itself to a computer by USB-C instead.

DJI’s beginner guide states that the Osmo Action 6 has 50 GB of built-in storage. Its specifications list support for microSD cards up to 1 TB and recommend Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS and Kingston CANVAS Go! Plus U3 A2 V30 microSDXC models. Back up footage from DJI Mimo to cloud storage
DJI’s FAQ describes an optional cloud backup flow: select files in Mimo’s in-app Album, tap the cloud icon, link a cloud account, and connect to Wi-Fi. The FAQ lists OneDrive, Google Drive, and NAS as supported destinations and notes that support can change. [DJI Osmo Action 6 FAQ]
