The safest way to move data to a Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is Samsung Smart Switch. From another Android phone, Smart Switch supports a wireless transfer or a USB-C cable. From an iPhone, use the iPhone or iPad option with either a USB-C-to-Lightning cable or the documented wireless route.
Smart Switch can move the categories you select, but it is not a perfect clone of the old phone. Apple passwords and Keychain data do not transfer, and incompatible apps or other protected data may require separate setup. Keep both phones charged, updated, unlocked and connected until Smart Switch reports that the transfer is complete.

What you need before transferring
Prepare both phones before opening Smart Switch. A transfer is easier to recover when the old phone remains available, so do not erase or trade it in until you have checked the S25 FE.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Charge both phones: Wireless transfers in particular require adequate battery. A cable transfer also needs enough charge to finish without interruption.
- Install current Smart Switch software: Open the current version available on each phone, then update it if an update is offered.
- Make room on the S25 FE: Check that the receiving phone has enough free storage for the categories you plan to move. If storage is tight, transfer only the categories you need first.
- Keep the phones close: Proximity helps the devices maintain a wireless connection during setup.
- Have the correct cable or adapter ready: Android-to-Android wired transfers normally use USB-C-to-USB-C. An iPhone wired transfer uses USB-C-to-Lightning. A USB-C OTG adapter can help when the connectors do not match or when an external-storage workflow is required.
- Leave both phones unlocked: Smart Switch may need you to approve the connection and select content on each device.
Do not rely on the transfer alone for passwords or protected information. Plan to sign in to accounts and set up any data Smart Switch identifies as unsupported after the migration.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Android to Galaxy S25 FE: wireless or cable
Android users can choose the method that best fits their equipment and surroundings. Wireless is convenient when you do not have a suitable cable. A cable avoids dependence on a wireless connection and is the preferred recovery route if wireless setup repeatedly fails.
Step 1: Start Smart Switch on the S25 FE
- Open Smart Switch on the Galaxy S25 FE.
- Tap Receive data.
- Choose Galaxy or Android as the source platform.
- Choose Wirelessly or Cable, matching the method you intend to use.
Samsung’s quick-setup instructions use this sequence: select Galaxy or Android, choose “Wirelessly or Cable,” and then select the data to transfer.
Step 2: Connect the old Android phone
For a wireless transfer, open Smart Switch on the old phone, tap Send data, and approve the connection request. Keep the two phones near each other while the connection is negotiated.
Recommended Free Tools
For a cable transfer, connect the phones directly with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable. If the old phone has a different connector, use an appropriate USB-C OTG adapter and a compatible cable rather than forcing an ill-fitting plug.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Step 3: Choose the content
Smart Switch displays the data categories available for the connected phones. Select the categories you want, or deselect items if the S25 FE does not have enough free storage. The categories shown can vary with the source phone, its software and app compatibility, so the on-screen selection is the authoritative list for that transfer.
Step 4: Transfer and wait
- Tap Transfer after reviewing the selected categories.
- Keep both phones unlocked and connected for the entire process.
- Do not walk out of wireless range, unplug the cable or close Smart Switch while the transfer is running.
- Wait for Smart Switch to indicate completion before disconnecting or restarting either phone.
A wireless transfer can be interrupted by connection problems or insufficient battery. If that happens, charge both devices, update Smart Switch, bring the phones closer together and retry. If the wireless attempt still fails, use a direct cable.
iPhone to Galaxy S25 FE: wired and wireless options
The S25 FE can receive data from an iPhone through Smart Switch. The main difference is the connector and the data restrictions imposed by Apple’s protected storage and app ecosystem.
Step 1: Select the iPhone source
- Open Smart Switch on the Galaxy S25 FE.
- Tap Receive data.
- Choose iPhone or iPad.
- Select the wired or wireless route offered by Smart Switch.
Step 2: Use a USB-C-to-Lightning cable for a wired transfer
Connect the iPhone to the S25 FE with a USB-C-to-Lightning cable. Follow the prompts on both phones, approve any connection request that appears, and keep the cable connected while Smart Switch scans the iPhone and presents transferable categories.

- Travel Must-Have for People On the Go: A must-have travel accessory for flights, flying, airports, air travel, airplanes, planes, international trips, cruises, and long travel days. Key gadget for your airport haul, travel accessories and must-haves.
The cable must match both ends: Lightning on the iPhone side and USB-C on the S25 FE side. If you have a connector mismatch, a USB-C OTG adapter may be needed, but a direct cable is simpler when available.
Step 3: Use Smart Switch’s documented wireless route
If you do not have a cable, choose the wireless option in the iPhone or iPad flow and follow the pairing instructions shown on the S25 FE and iPhone. Keep the phones close, adequately charged and unlocked during the transfer. Wireless setup is convenient, but it is more exposed to interruption than a direct wired connection.
Step 4: Select data and complete the transfer
- Review the categories Smart Switch identifies.
- Select what you want to move and start the transfer.
- Leave both devices connected until Smart Switch finishes.
- Record any categories or items Smart Switch marks as unavailable so you can handle them separately.
Samsung states that passwords and Apple Keychain data do not transfer through Smart Switch. Incompatible apps and protected data may also require separate setup. You should therefore expect to sign in again and reinstall or configure anything that cannot be carried across automatically.

Wireless versus cable: which method should you choose?
| Consideration | Wireless | Cable |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi dependence | Requires the phones to maintain the wireless connection used by Smart Switch. | Does not depend on maintaining a wireless link between the phones. |
| Setup speed | Convenient when both phones are ready and no cable is available; an exact speed is not stated. | Often the more predictable choice for a large migration; an exact speed is not stated. |
| Interruption risk | Can be affected by distance, battery level or wireless connection problems. | Can be interrupted if the cable or adapter is disconnected. |
| Accessories | No transfer cable is required, although both phones still need to be charged. | Android commonly uses USB-C-to-USB-C; iPhone uses USB-C-to-Lightning; a USB-C OTG adapter may be needed for connector mismatches. |
| Best fallback | Retry after updating Smart Switch, charging both devices and moving them closer. | Use a direct cable when a wireless attempt fails. |
Choose wireless when convenience matters and both phones can remain near each other. Choose cable when you are moving a large amount of content, the wireless connection is unreliable, or you want to remove one source of interruption. Smart Switch does not publish a guaranteed transfer time in the available guidance, so the duration depends on the amount and type of data and the connection method.

Cables and adapters for the S25 FE
| Accessory | Use | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| USB-C-to-USB-C cable | Direct wired transfer from a compatible Android phone to the S25 FE. | It will not connect directly to an iPhone with a Lightning port. |
| USB-C-to-Lightning cable | Direct wired transfer from an iPhone to the S25 FE. | The Lightning connector must be on the iPhone end and USB-C on the S25 FE end. |
| USB-C OTG adapter | Bridges a connector mismatch or supports an external-storage workflow. | An adapter does not replace the need for a suitable data cable and a stable physical connection. |
The Galaxy S25 FE uses USB Type-C for wired transfer. Avoid selecting a cable only by its shape: the cable must support the connection and data path required by Smart Switch, and both plugs must fit securely.
What transfers, and what may not
Smart Switch lets you choose from the categories it detects on the source phone. The available categories are not guaranteed to be identical between two Android phones, or between Android and iPhone, because platform support, app compatibility and protected-data rules differ.
- Selectable categories: Smart Switch presents the categories it can process for the connected source. Review that list before starting rather than assuming every item on the old phone will be copied.
- Platform differences: Android-to-Android migration generally offers the most direct path because both devices use the same mobile platform. iPhone-to-Android migration can still move supported categories, but app and account behavior may differ after the move.
- Passwords and Apple Keychain: Samsung explicitly says these do not transfer through Smart Switch. Plan a separate sign-in or credential-recovery process.
- Incompatible apps: An app that has no compatible Android version cannot be transferred as a working app. Any app or data Smart Switch identifies as incompatible requires separate setup.
- Protected data: Security restrictions can prevent certain information from being copied. Treat a completed transfer as successful only after checking the data you actually need.
Cloud or account access may therefore still be necessary after the device-to-device migration. Smart Switch moves supported content; it does not remove the need to authenticate services whose credentials or protected records cannot be exported.

The transfer stops partway through
- Check that neither phone has locked itself and that the cable has not loosened.
- Reconnect the phones only after exiting the failed transfer screen.
- Update Smart Switch, charge both devices and retry.
- For wireless transfers, reduce distance between the phones and eliminate avoidable movement during the transfer.
The S25 FE reports insufficient storage
Free space on the receiving phone or return to the category-selection screen and transfer fewer categories. Start with the content you need most, then run another Smart Switch transfer if the remaining storage allows it.
The cable is not recognized
- Verify that you selected the correct source platform and the correct Cable option.
- Use the required connector combination: USB-C-to-USB-C for a compatible Android source or USB-C-to-Lightning for an iPhone.
- If the connectors do not match, use a suitable USB-C OTG adapter and a compatible data cable.
- Reconnect directly rather than routing the phones through an unnecessary hub or loose intermediary.
Apps, passwords or protected records are missing
This can be expected rather than a failed transfer. Check Smart Switch’s unavailable or incompatible items, then reinstall compatible apps and sign in separately. Apple passwords and Keychain data are specifically excluded from Smart Switch transfer, and other protected data may have similar restrictions.
How to verify the S25 FE after migration
- Open the transferred categories on the S25 FE and confirm that the items you selected are present.
- Launch important apps and complete any required sign-in or setup.
- Check items that are especially difficult to replace, such as personal records or files, before changing the old phone.
- Review Smart Switch’s completion information for categories it could not move.
- Keep the old phone intact until verification is complete; do not erase it immediately after the transfer screen finishes.
Verification matters because “transfer complete” describes the Smart Switch operation, not a guarantee that every app, password or protected record is usable on the new platform.
A quick decision guide
- Old phone is Android and you have a USB-C-to-USB-C cable: Choose Receive data → Galaxy or Android → Cable on the S25 FE.
- Old phone is Android and no cable is available: Choose the wireless route, then use Send data on the old phone.
- Old phone is an iPhone and you have a USB-C-to-Lightning cable: Choose iPhone or iPad and use the wired route.
- Old phone is an iPhone and no cable is available: Choose the documented wireless option and expect to handle Apple passwords, Keychain data, incompatible apps and protected information separately.
- Any wireless attempt keeps failing: Charge and update both phones, keep them close, then retry with a direct cable.
Using Smart Switch with the correct source selection, connection method and accessory gives the S25 FE the supported path for moving data. The final step is always a manual check of transferred categories and separate setup for anything protected or incompatible.
