For the most complete Android-to-Android move, start your Vivo V70’s initial setup and use Android’s Copy apps & data flow. You can transfer by cable or wirelessly. Vivo EasyShare is another phone-cloning option, and a Google backup can help if you no longer have the old phone. Keep the old phone until you have checked the V70 and confirmed your important apps and accounts work.
Before you start
- Charge both phones and connect them to Wi-Fi or another internet connection. Google says an internet connection is needed for setup copying and recommends Wi-Fi. Google’s Android transfer instructions
- Make sure the V70 has enough free storage. If it does not, Google says you may need to choose which data to copy.
- Keep the old phone, its unlock PIN or password, and your Google Account credentials nearby. Wireless copying may ask for the old phone’s PIN.
- If you plan to connect the phones, check their ports and cable compatibility. An adapter may be needed; wireless transfer is also available.
- Allow time for the copy. Google says the process can take from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on how much data is being moved.
Option 1: Copy data during the V70’s initial setup
Google’s built-in Android transfer flow is the best starting point when the old phone is available. Do this while setting up the V70: Google warns that the transfer option may not be available afterward.

- Turn on the V70 and begin its setup. Connect it to Wi-Fi or mobile internet.
- At Copy apps & data, choose Copy and follow the on-screen instructions.
- For a cable transfer: connect the phones with a compatible data cable and follow the prompts. Use an adapter if their connectors do not match.
- For a wireless transfer: choose No cable, then Transfer wirelessly on the V70. On the old phone, follow the device-setup prompt, check that the matching shapes and numbers appear, and select what to copy.
- Keep both phones available until the transfer finishes.

Option 2: Clone the old phone with Vivo EasyShare
Vivo describes EasyShare as an app for cloning a phone and transferring personal files and data. Follow the current instructions in EasyShare and on the V70: app wording and screens can change. Vivo’s guidance says to select the data on the old phone and tap Start Phone Clone. If the old phone has a screen lock, you may be asked for its password or PIN. Vivo’s EasyShare guidance

A Vivo manual for another model—not confirmed as V70-specific—warns that transferred data for the same apps on the new phone may be overwritten. Treat any overwrite prompt seriously and review it before continuing; do not assume that manual’s exact screens apply to the V70. Vivo manual (PDF)
Option 3: Restore a Google backup if you do not have the old phone
During V70 setup, choose the restore option and select a backup associated with the old device. This works only if backup was enabled on the old phone and a usable backup exists. What transfers—and what to check afterward
Google says setup copying may transfer apps and some app data, music, photos and videos, contacts stored on the phone or SIM, text messages and their multimedia, most phone settings, wallpaper, and call history. What is included varies by phone and Android version.

WhatsApp and other apps with their own backup
For WhatsApp, Google says chats and data can be restored from the cloud after you sign in on the new Android phone and open WhatsApp, provided WhatsApp backup was enabled on the old phone first. Other apps may have their own backup, sign-in, or transfer process, so check important app content individually.
Verify before wiping the old phone
- Open key apps and confirm their content is present.
- Check downloads, files in hidden folders, contacts, messages, and photos or videos you rely on.
- Confirm you can sign in to apps that use extra security or separate backup steps.
Do not erase or trade in the old phone until you have confirmed the V70 contains the files, messages, contacts, and app content you need.

Do not confuse Android migration with V70 One-Tap Transfer
Vivo’s V70 product page advertises One-Tap Transfer for sharing photos, videos, and files between a Vivo device and an iPhone. The listed requirements are iPhone 12 or later, iOS 17 or later, and EasyShare iPhone app version 5.4 or later. Do you need to buy a cable?
No. Android setup copying also supports wireless transfer. If you choose the wired route, a USB-C-to-USB-C data cable may be appropriate only if both phones have compatible USB-C ports.
