“Transfer crafting” in Aion 2 can mean two different actions. The in-game Transfer Crafting feature moves selected equipment progression into eligible target equipment. A server transfer moves a character, including its Crafting Records and items in inventory or Character Storage. These systems do not move the same things, and neither lets you transfer every crafting material automatically.
Use Transfer Crafting for gear progression. Use the server-transfer service when you are relocating the entire character. Always verify the current confirmation screen and official notice because recipes, rates, transfer windows, server capacity and other requirements can change.

What “transfer crafting” means in Aion 2
The phrase is ambiguous because Aion 2 has an equipment mechanic named Transfer Crafting and a separate service for moving a character between servers. Treating them as one system can lead to lost items, unexpected resets or a transfer attempt made outside the available window.

The equipment rules below are reported by the current AION2 KINA crafting and Transfer Crafting guide, published July 15, 2026 and marked as verified July 24, 2026. Because the guide is not the game client, use its explanation as a planning reference and rely on the confirmation screen for the final result.

How Transfer Crafting works for equipment
Find an eligible target recipe
Open the current Transfer Crafting recipe list and inspect the target equipment. Only recipes that show the Transfer Crafting icon are eligible. An ordinary crafting recipe without that icon should not be assumed to accept progression from another item.
The source and target must be selected in the Transfer Crafting interface. Before confirming, check the displayed item names, levels and any required materials or currency. The interface is the authoritative place to catch a mismatch between the guide and your current client, region or patch.
Progression that carries over
According to the current guide, three categories of equipment progression transfer:

- Enhancement stages: the enhancement progression is carried into the target item.
- Breakthrough stages: completed breakthrough progression transfers.
- Soul Imprint information: Soul Imprint data transfers, but its rate changes as described below.
“Transfers” does not mean that every visible stat, socket or attachment remains identical. The mechanic carries the listed progression categories, not an unrestricted clone of the source item.

The guide does not establish a universal replacement value for every Soul Imprint rate, nor does it promise that all other item properties remain unchanged. Read the exact before-and-after fields in the client rather than calculating the result from the source item alone.

Step-by-step: transferring gear progression
- Open the current Transfer Crafting list. Use the crafting interface in the current client, not an old screenshot or an archived recipe list.
- Choose a target marked with the Transfer Crafting icon. If the icon is absent, stop; that recipe is not confirmed as eligible.
- Select the source equipment. Confirm that the item shown in the interface is the one whose enhancement, breakthrough and Soul Imprint progression you intend to use.
- Review the requirements. The client may show materials, currency, level requirements or other conditions for that recipe. These values are live data and can change by patch or region.
- Inspect the retained and reset fields. Verify the enhancement and breakthrough stages, then check the Soul Imprint result. Make sure you understand that Manastones, Godstones and binding information reset.
- Check the final preview. Compare the target item’s resulting name, progression and rate with your intended outcome. Do not confirm if a required field is missing or different from what you expected.
- Confirm only after the preview is acceptable. Once completed, treat the displayed result as the operative game state and keep any materials needed for reapplication of reset modifications.
Costs, materials and success rates
There is no single enduring materials table for “transfer crafting.” Requirements belong to a particular recipe, and the current crafting data can change with the client, region or patch. The cited guide specifically describes recipe requirements, material quantities, prices and rates as live data rather than one permanent list.
That means a responsible answer cannot give one universal number of materials, one fixed price or one guaranteed Combo rate for every Transfer Crafting action. Before committing resources, open the exact recipe in your client and record:

- the displayed currency cost;
- any level, profession or progression requirement;
- the shown rate or success information, including whether it applies to a particular attempt or recipe;
- what happens on failure, if the interface states a failure outcome.
If a value is not shown for your selected recipe, do not infer it from another item or from a guide written for a different region. Prices and market availability can also vary independently of the recipe’s stated requirement.
What server transfer does
A server transfer is a character move, not an equipment-upgrade operation. The official AION 2 Steam Server Transfer Service Guide and Q&A, dated October 9, 2026, lists Crafting Records among the records that transfer with the character.
This distinction matters: moving a character can carry its crafting history or records, but it does not convert the Transfer Crafting rules into a way to send progression to another character. The destination character is the same character on another server, subject to the service’s current eligibility rules.

Which item locations transfer

Storage scope is the most important preparation detail. An item can exist on the account and still remain behind if it is in Server Storage when the move is processed. The transfer service does not automatically sweep that location into the destination character.
Step-by-step: preparing a character for a server move
- Check the current transfer notice and in-game service screen. Confirm that your region and faction are eligible and that the destination server is available.
- Audit every storage location. Open inventory, Character Storage and Server Storage separately. Make a list of crafting materials, tools, equipment and consumables you need after the move.
- Empty Server Storage of anything you want to keep. Withdraw those items into the character’s inventory or Character Storage. Do this before the transfer request, not after it.
- Verify Crafting Records and character state. The official summary includes Crafting Records as transferable records, but the service screen remains the final authority for the current client.
- Select an eligible destination. The available list can be constrained by region, faction, server type and capacity. A destination that appears unavailable is not made eligible by moving items between storage locations.
- Read the confirmation and schedule. Transfer services can operate only during a stated window. Check the submission deadline and any processing status shown by the game.
- Submit only after the final review. Confirm the destination, character and item-storage preparation. Save a screenshot or written inventory record if you need to reconcile items after the move.
- After completion, inspect inventory and Character Storage. Verify that expected items and Crafting Records are present. Items deliberately left in Server Storage should not be expected on the destination server.
Restrictions and timing for server transfers
The October 9, 2026 official notice describes operational restrictions that can change over time. The relevant checks include:
- Region: transfers may be limited to permitted regional groupings.
- Faction: the destination must satisfy the service’s faction rules.
- Early Access versus Launch servers: server categories can affect whether a move is allowed.
- Transfer window: requests may be accepted only during the dates and times in the current notice.
- Server capacity: a full or capped destination can be unavailable even when the service is active.
These conditions are date-sensitive. A notice that was valid on October 9, 2026 is not a permanent promise that the same destination, schedule or category rules will remain available. Check the latest official announcement and the live transfer interface immediately before preparing the move.
Can you transfer crafting materials to another character?
Neither mechanic should be treated as a general, direct “send materials to any character” function.
Using Transfer Crafting
Transfer Crafting applies to eligible equipment recipes. It transfers specified equipment progression into a target item; it is not a warehouse for loose ores, components, recipes or other crafting materials. Materials shown in the recipe are inputs consumed or required by that particular operation, subject to the current client’s rules.

Using a server transfer
A server transfer moves the same character and qualifying item locations. It is therefore useful when you want that character’s own crafting records and materials to follow the character to another server. It does not move the materials to a different character, and it does not carry items left in Server Storage.
Moving materials safely
For a character relocation, place the materials in the character’s inventory or Character Storage before submitting the transfer. If you need to give materials to another character rather than move your own character, use only whatever player-to-player, account-storage or trade feature the current game client explicitly permits; the transfer rules above do not establish such a handoff.

Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Confusing an eligible target with an ordinary recipe
A recipe can be craftable without supporting Transfer Crafting. Look for the explicit icon in the current list. If it is missing, do not spend materials on the assumption that progression can be imported later.
Assuming every equipment attribute transfers
Enhancement and breakthrough stages are the reported carried fields, while Manastones, Godstones and binding information reset. Soul Imprint information carries with a changed rate. Inspect the preview instead of treating the target as a duplicate of the source.

Leaving valuable items in Server Storage
Character Storage and Server Storage have different transfer outcomes. Before a server move, open Server Storage deliberately and withdraw anything required on the destination. An account-wide location is not automatically a character-transfer location.
Using an old schedule or server list
Transfer windows, server capacity and Early Access or Launch classifications are operational details. A previous announcement can be obsolete even if the general service still exists. Use the current notice and live interface.
Budgeting from an unrelated recipe
Material quantities, prices and rates are recipe-specific. Record the values shown for the exact target item. Do not turn a one-time or region-specific display into a universal cost estimate.
Skipping the final confirmation screen
The confirmation screen is where the client reveals the actual retained, reset and changed fields for your selected items. Cancel and recheck if the source, target, rate, storage contents or destination does not match your plan.

- The target recipe displays the Transfer Crafting icon.
- The correct source item is selected.
- Enhancement and breakthrough stages shown in the preview are acceptable.
- You understand the Soul Imprint rate change.
- You have accounted for Manastones, Godstones and binding information resetting.
- You have enough of the exact materials and currency displayed by the current recipe.
- You have reviewed any stated rate or failure result.
Server-move checklist
- The current official transfer notice is open and applicable to your region.
- Your faction and server type meet the displayed conditions.
- The destination is available and has capacity.
- The transfer window is still open.
- Crafting Records are listed in the current service summary.
- Desired items have been moved out of Server Storage.
- Inventory and Character Storage contain the materials and equipment you need.
- You have reviewed the final character, destination and processing confirmation.
What the available evidence does not establish
The current sources do not provide one complete, permanent table of every recipe’s materials, prices or Combo rates. They also do not establish a universal Soul Imprint rate conversion, a guaranteed processing time or a permanent list of eligible destination servers. Those details must be read from the selected recipe, current client and current official announcement.
This limitation is useful rather than inconvenient: it prevents an old number from being mistaken for a current rule. When a value affects your decision, capture it from the interface at the moment you perform the action and retain the confirmation details.
Bottom line for Aion 2 players
Use Transfer Crafting when you are changing eligible equipment and want to carry enhancement, breakthrough and Soul Imprint progression. Expect Manastones, Godstones and binding information to reset, and expect the Soul Imprint rate to change. Use a server transfer when the goal is to relocate the character itself: Crafting Records transfer under the official summary, while items in inventory and Character Storage move and items in Server Storage remain behind. Because recipe data and transfer operations are patch- and schedule-sensitive, make the final decision from the current in-game screen and official notice.
