You can transfer data to an OPPO Find X10 during its initial setup, but exact Find X10 menus and compatibility details are not yet confirmed. OPPO announced the Find X10 Series global debut for October 21, 2026; as of October 9, 2026, the launch is still ahead. OPPO says it will reveal full specifications and availability at launch. OPPO’s October 8 announcement therefore does not yet establish the phone’s port, regional availability, or transfer behavior. The steps below describe Google’s supported Android migration options and what to check when setting up the Find X10.
Before you transfer anything
Prepare both phones and make sure you can unlock the old one. A transfer can omit some content, so keep the old phone intact until you have checked the new one.

- Charge both phones, keep them nearby, and know the old phone’s PIN or passcode.
- Connect to Wi-Fi or otherwise ensure internet access, and have the relevant Google Account credentials ready.
- Check available storage on the Find X10. If space is limited, Google says you may need to select fewer categories to copy.
- Make a fresh backup of the old phone. Handle WhatsApp separately using its backup or transfer procedure.
- If moving from iPhone, turn off iMessage before switching and keep the devices available throughout the transfer.
Google estimates that Android-to-Android copying may take from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the amount of data. That is a general support estimate, not a Find X10 performance result. Google’s Android setup guide explains the general process.
How do I transfer apps, photos, and messages from Android to Android?
Start the copy during the Find X10’s initial setup. Google recommends using a cable for setup copying, although wireless transfer is also available. The exact OPPO setup labels may differ from Google’s instructions, and the Find X10’s connector has not yet been confirmed.

- Turn on the Find X10 and proceed through its initial setup screens.
- When asked whether to copy apps and data, choose the Android or old-device option displayed on screen.
- Pair the phones using the offered wired or wireless method. For a cable connection, use a cable that fits both phones and supports data; an adapter may be needed. Check the Find X10’s published port specification before buying a cable or adapter.
- Sign in with the Google Account used on the old phone when prompted, choose the categories to copy, and leave both phones connected until the process finishes.
- Open important apps and check their contents and logins. Complete WhatsApp restoration separately.
Google says Android setup can copy apps and some app data, music, photos, videos, phone and SIM contacts, text messages and their multimedia, many phone settings, wallpaper, and call history. What transfers depends on the phones and Android versions. This is not necessarily a complete clone: downloads such as PDFs, media in hidden folders, apps installed outside Google Play, data from apps that do not use Android backup, some non-Google accounts, and certain settings may not copy.
How do I transfer data from an iPhone to an OPPO Find X10?
Choose the iPhone or iPad source option during new-phone setup if it appears. Google’s iPhone-to-Android help says supported data depends on the transfer method and device; do not assume that every feature described for other Android phones will be available on the Find X10.

- Begin Find X10 setup and select the iPhone or iPad source option if offered.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. For a wired transfer, connect the iPhone’s charging cable to the new phone, using a suitable adapter if required. Tap Trust on the iPhone if prompted, then choose what to copy.
- If Android Switch wireless transfer is offered, follow its prompts only if the Find X10’s software supports that flow. In Google’s classic transfer process, wireless supports fewer data types than cable; capabilities also vary by device and Android version.
- Turn off iMessage on the iPhone and sign in to the Google Account requested during setup.
- Use the WhatsApp-specific transfer prompt for chat history, then verify the result on the new phone.
In Google’s classic method comparison, photos and videos are listed for both wireless and cable transfer, while apps and WhatsApp history are listed as cable-only. Google also describes an upgraded transfer flow for a limited set of devices, but its availability on the Find X10 has not been established. Treat WhatsApp as a separate migration from the phone’s general data copy. For an Android source, enable a WhatsApp backup on the old phone, then sign in to WhatsApp on the new Android phone and follow the restore prompt. For an iPhone source, Google describes scanning a QR code shown on the new Android phone and following the on-screen instructions.

Do not open or complete WhatsApp setup on the new phone before following the intended migration flow. Google cautions that transfers are not guaranteed to succeed, and chat histories created on the new phone cannot be merged with the old history: restoring the old history replaces the new one. Follow Google’s WhatsApp transfer instructions and confirm that the expected chats appear before removing data from the old phone.
Can I transfer data after setting up the phone?
Possibly, but do not rely on the full setup-time copy option remaining available. Google warns that the option to copy apps and data may not be available after initial setup, so use it while setting up the Find X10 whenever possible.

If the old phone is unavailable, Google says an existing Google One device backup can restore content, data, and settings during Android setup. Files that did not transfer can be copied manually through a computer to a hard drive, external drive, or cloud service. For photos already synced with a service, sign in to that same service on the new phone and verify the photos are present before deleting originals. Do I need a cable to transfer everything?
No. Google supports a wireless option for Android-to-Android setup, so a cable is not mandatory. Google recommends cable transfer for setup copying, and its classic iPhone-to-Android flow supports more data types by cable than wirelessly. Which options appear on the Find X10 will depend on its final software and device compatibility.

If you plan to use a cable, wait for OPPO’s confirmed port specifications and choose a data-capable cable or suitable adapter that fits both phones. A charging-only cable will not serve as a data connection. Wireless transfer avoids connector matching but requires following the pairing prompts and keeping the phones nearby.
What to verify before erasing the old phone
Keep the old phone and its data available until you have checked the items that matter to you. Transfers can exclude certain files or app data, and WhatsApp uses its own process.
