Short answer: AION 2’s official documents call its auction-house-style system the Marketplace. You can use the live game’s Market screen to inspect available items, prices, currencies, and any displayed requirements, but the current official material does not verify the exact access level, button path, listing fee, sale duration, item restrictions, server scope, or bid-versus-buyout behavior. Treat those values shown in your client as authoritative for your region and version, and do not arrange off-platform trades.
Marketplace, Market and auction house: what the names mean
Players and third-party guides use “Market” and “auction house” interchangeably. The publisher’s AION 2 Global Operation Policy uses the term Marketplace when discussing purchases, sales and Marketplace fees. This article uses Marketplace for the official system and auction house as a familiar search term.

A Marketplace is an in-game exchange: one player offers an eligible item, another player purchases it through the interface, and the game records the transaction. That is different from handing an item or currency directly to another character. Whether direct player-to-player trading is enabled, restricted, or disabled can vary by launch state, region and later patches; the official evidence available here does not establish the current setting. If your client has no trade window, do not try to bypass it with mail, dropped items, intermediaries or external services.

Rules you must follow before trading
The most important confirmed information is not a fee or menu location; it is what the operation policy forbids. The policy defines real-money trading (RMT) broadly and applies sanctions to both completed and attempted activity.
#1 Best Overall
- Redeemable at US GameStop, EB Games, Babbage's, Electronic Boutique, EBX, Planet X, and Software Etc. stores. Also redeemable online at and GameStop.com and EBGames.com.
- Over 6,100 stores located throughout the United States.
- GameStop. Power to the Players.
- Redemption: Instore and Online
- No returns and no refunds on gift cards.
- No real-world exchange: Do not trade an item or in-game currency for money, physical goods, or services. The policy specifically includes boosting, piloting, carries and win-trading.
- No cross-game swaps: An AION 2 item or currency cannot be exchanged for an item or currency from another game.
- No paid leveling: Paying another person to level your character is included in the prohibited conduct.
- No advertising or brokerage: The policy also lists attempting or advertising RMT and promoting brokerage sites for RMT or account trading as violations.
These restrictions apply even when the arrangement begins in a chat channel and is completed elsewhere. Keep every transaction inside the game’s supported Marketplace flow and use only the currencies and controls the client presents.
Sanctions are policy terms, not a safe “price” for breaking the rules
The policy’s sanctions table lists an initial RMT sanction of 30 days and a second sanction of 90 days. For attempted RMT, the listed steps are 3, 7 and 30 days. Sanctions can change with policy revisions, and the applicable row depends on the conduct and account history. Check the current policy page before relying on any duration; never treat a temporary suspension as permission to experiment.
What enforcement announcements mean for ordinary sellers
In an official announcement dated October 10, 2026, the AION 2 team said it restricted accounts for botting and gold farming, unauthorized programs, RMT and abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy. The team states that “Restrictions are only applied after review, in line with the Operation Policy.” The official announcement archive is available at AION 2 Official Announcements.

This supports a practical rule: do not automate buying or selling, run macros that interact with the Marketplace, use unauthorized programs, coordinate suspicious price manipulation, or buy currency from another person. It does not establish that normal purchases and sales through the supported interface are prohibited. The archive also contains separate notices reporting 4,996 restricted accounts on October 10 and 10,000 on October 12. Those are notice-specific figures, not a combined total.
What is confirmed and what you still have to verify in the client
The available official material confirms that Marketplace purchases, sales and fees exist as recognized transaction types. It does not publish a complete current user manual. Use this distinction when reading guides or community posts.
| Question | What is established | What to verify before acting |
|---|---|---|
| Official name | The operation policy calls the system the Marketplace. | Your client may label a button Market, Marketplace or another translated term. |
| How to open it | No official button path is established in the material reviewed. | Use the current in-game menu, shortcut or NPC prompt shown for your region and version. |
| Access requirement | No level, quest, account age or membership requirement is confirmed. | Read the lock message or help panel in your client; do not rely on an unverified membership claim. |
| Fees | The policy recognizes Marketplace fees but gives no current public rate in the evidence used here. | Check the fee line immediately before listing or purchasing. |
| Listing duration | Not established. | Confirm the expiration timer and what happens to an unsold item. |
| Item eligibility | Not established. | Check whether binding, enhancement, rarity, stack size or other attributes prevent listing. |
| Server scope | Not established. | Confirm whether results are for your character’s server, a region-wide pool or another scope. |
| Order type | Not established. | Determine whether the screen offers fixed-price purchases, bids, buyouts, or only one method. |
| Direct player trading | Current availability is not verified by the official material used here. | Follow the live client and official support; do not improvise a substitute. |
How to open and inspect the Marketplace safely
Because the published evidence does not confirm a universal menu path, the following is a verification procedure rather than a claimed set of button names. Labels can differ by platform, language, region and patch.

- Give the gift of fun with a Nintendo eShop gift code
- It's easy—apply it to your Nintendo eShop account in seconds.
- It ensures that you’ll always have funds on hand to help with purchases of new games and applications
- It’s designed for your Nintendo eShop purchases—no credit card required.
- The perfect gift for anyone who loves to play—including you. Choose from over 1,000 new, classic and indie games – delivered directly to your Nintendo Switch system.
- Update and sign in normally. Install the current game update and use the account that owns the character. Do not use third-party launchers, scripts or automation to access the exchange.
- Locate the in-game Market or Marketplace entry. Check the main menu, commerce-related interface or the NPC interaction that your current client provides. If the entry is greyed out, select it once and read the displayed requirement instead of guessing.
- Read the help and rules panel. Look for the eligible item types, currencies, tax or fee wording, listing period, cancellation rules and server scope. Take a screenshot or note the text if you need to contact support.
- Confirm the character and currency. Verify that you are on the intended character and that the displayed currency is the one you expect. A Marketplace price is not meaningful until you know whether it is quoted in ordinary in-game currency, a bound currency or another token.
- Use the preview before committing. Open an item detail page and check quantity, stack size, enhancement or binding status, seller/buy-order information if shown, total cost and fee. Do not click the final confirmation until all of those fields are clear.
If the interface is unavailable, capture the exact error, your region, client version and character state. Then consult current official support rather than a community workaround. A missing menu can indicate a requirement, maintenance, a regional difference or a design change.
How to list an item for sale
The exact listing controls and fee percentage are not established in the official sources available for this guide. Use the sequence below as a checklist against the controls your client actually displays.
- Open the sell or list view. Select the Marketplace’s selling function only after confirming that the item is eligible. If the item cannot be selected, read the reason; do not strip protections or transfer it to another account to force a listing.
- Select the precise item and quantity. Confirm the icon, name, rarity, enhancement state, binding state and stack count. Compare the selected item with your inventory so you do not list a valuable variant by mistake.
- Enter the price using the displayed currency. The interface may show a unit price, a total stack price or another format. Check which one applies and calculate the amount you will actually receive after any fee shown by the client.
- Review duration and expiration behavior. If the screen offers a duration, note the end time. Confirm whether an unsold listing returns automatically, whether a fee is retained, and where the returned item appears. If none of this is explained, treat it as unknown and avoid listing an irreplaceable item until you have verified the rule.
- Read the final confirmation page. Verify item, quantity, price, fee, net proceeds, duration and any warning about cancellation. Use the game’s confirmation control once; avoid repeated clicks during lag.
- Record the transaction. Keep the listing timestamp, item details and confirmation screen until the item sells or returns. This information is useful if the Marketplace misbehaves or you make a mistaken listing.
A third-party guide dated September 29, 2026 claims an 8% sale fee and a membership requirement to sell. Those claims were not verified by the official policy or announcement material and must not be treated as current rules. Check the fee and eligibility text in your live client instead; if it differs, the client and current official support take priority.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

How to buy an item
- Search by the exact item name. Use filters for category, rarity, level or other attributes only when those filters are present in your client. Search results may be scoped to a server or region; read the scope label.
- Open multiple detail panels. Compare item identity, quantity, enhancement or binding state, seller or order information and the displayed total. Similar names can represent different versions.
- Check the total cost and fee. Do not infer the final amount from the headline price. Look for a separate buyer fee, tax or confirmation line and make sure you have enough of the correct currency.
- Determine the purchase method. If the interface shows a fixed-price purchase, verify the immediate confirmation. If it shows bids, read the current bid, minimum increment, end time and rules for an unsuccessful bid. Do not assume that a bid or buyout exists unless the current screen labels it.
- Confirm once and verify delivery. After purchase, check the destination specified by the client—inventory, storage, mailbox or another Marketplace collection area. Do not repeat the purchase merely because delivery is delayed; first check transaction history and relog only if official support recommends it.
Never pay a seller through a chat promise, external website, gift card, cryptocurrency transfer or another game. If an offer requires anything outside the Marketplace’s own confirmation screen, decline it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Fees, membership and other details that are still unverified
Readers often want a single number for the listing tax or a definitive answer about membership access. The available official evidence cannot support one. The policy’s reference to Marketplace fees proves that fees can be part of a transaction; it does not establish a universal percentage, whether buyers also pay, whether fees vary by item or duration, or whether a fee is refundable.
Likewise, no official source reviewed here establishes a membership gate, minimum character level, account-age rule, listing cap, cancellation charge, cross-server pool, or guaranteed sale time. Community guides can be useful for discovering interface changes, but treat their numbers as reports to verify, not instructions. The third-party reports at AION 2 Trading Exchange: The Market, Fees and Selling Rules and AION 2 Disables Direct Player Trading at Launch to Fight Bots are leads only for these unconfirmed details.

Direct trading versus the Marketplace
Do not assume that a direct trade window is an alternative Marketplace. A third-party report said direct player trading was disabled at launch, but that report is not an official confirmation of the current client. If direct trading is absent, use the supported Marketplace for eligible items and wait for an official announcement if the item you need cannot be listed.
If direct trading appears in your client, read its confirmation and binding warnings carefully and check the current operation policy. A direct exchange still cannot be used for real-world payments, cross-game swaps, paid leveling or any other prohibited arrangement. The existence of a trade button would not override those rules.
What to do after a mistaken purchase or sale
The operation policy’s restoration section recognizes an item incorrectly traded using the Marketplace—including a purchase, sale or fee—as a type of issue that may be considered for recovery. Recovery is conditional: records must still exist, exclusions apply, and the policy identifies a general 15-day period. This is not a promise that every transaction will be reversed.
- Stop making changes. Do not resell, dismantle, enhance, mail or transfer the item involved.
- Preserve evidence. Record the item name and attributes, quantity, character and server, transaction time, order or listing identifier, currency amount and the exact error.
- Contact official support promptly. Use the support route linked from the current game or publisher site and submit the transaction details. The sooner you report the issue, the more likely relevant records are still available.
- Follow the support response. Do not open duplicate cases or attempt a workaround while a restoration request is under review.
The 15-day period is a policy term, not a guarantee of approval or a universal deadline for every issue. Read the current restoration section before relying on it.
Troubleshooting common Marketplace problems
The Market icon is missing or locked
- Open the lock message and write down the stated level, quest, account or regional requirement.
- Check maintenance notices and the current official announcement archive.
- Confirm that you are on the intended character and region.
- If no reason is shown, contact official support; do not buy access from another player.
The item cannot be listed
- Check whether it is bound, equipped, enhanced, part of a protected loadout or otherwise marked non-tradable.
- Verify that you selected a complete stack and that the category is supported.
- Read the client error exactly. A generic “not eligible” message is not evidence that another account or server can list it.
The price or fee looks different from a guide
- Use the current client value for the transaction you are about to confirm.
- Check whether the guide describes another region, launch period, item category or currency.
- Save a screenshot and report a suspected display error through official support.
The purchase completed but the item is missing
- Check the Marketplace history and every delivery location named by the interface.
- Relog only after confirming that the order is not still pending and that the currency was not merely reserved.
- Do not buy the item again until you know whether the first order succeeded.
You receive a message offering a “cheaper” off-platform deal
- Do not reply with account, payment or character information.
- Report the message through the game’s reporting tools if available.
- Block the sender and keep the evidence. Advertising or attempting RMT is itself sanctionable under the operation policy.
A practical pre-confirmation checklist
- Am I using the official in-game Marketplace, not an external broker?
- Is the item exactly the right name, version, quantity and binding state?
- Which currency will be charged or received?
- What total price and fee does the final confirmation show?
- When does the listing or order expire?
- Where will the item or proceeds be delivered?
- Is the transaction limited to my server or region?
- Am I avoiding bots, macros, unauthorized programs and suspicious coordinated pricing?
- Have I saved the transaction details in case support needs them?
Bottom line for AION 2 traders
Use the Marketplace exactly as the current client presents it, and treat every fee, requirement, eligibility rule and delivery behavior as version- and region-specific until the game shows or officially documents it. The confirmed boundaries are clear: no real-money or cross-game exchanges, no paid leveling, no brokerage advertising and no automation or abnormal activity. If you make a Marketplace mistake, preserve the transaction record and contact official support quickly; restoration is conditional, not automatic.
