What is confirmed, and what is not

How to sell an item through the Market without guessing at missing rules

- Read current notices first. Check the official AION 2 news, support, and policy pages available from your launcher or website. Give priority to notices dated after the September 2026 direct-trading report and to notices that identify your region.
- Open the Market only through the game client. If your current character has a Market entry, open it and read any access, level, account, or membership requirements shown there. Do not assume that an account that can play can automatically list items.

AION2 Market’s independent European catalogue reports 1,691 tradable item records and says 8,182 item pages were checked against the official Global EU catalogue on October 5, 2026. The site states that its EU coverage is partial and that displayed figures are observed listings, not completed sales or real-time prices. Those figures are catalogue details published by that site, not official NCSOFT statistics.
That distinction matters when a listing remains visible for a long time. A displayed price can represent an unsold item, a listing that is no longer available, or a quantity and condition different from yours. It cannot establish demand, a guaranteed sale time, or a market-clearing price.

- Compare several active listings for the same item, quality, enhancement state, stack size, and expiration condition.
- Separate identical items from merely similar names, especially when binding or upgrade state differs.
- Do not treat the cheapest listing as the market-clearing price; it may be stale, unusually small, or unavailable to your character.
- Do not treat an observed listing as proof that the item sold at that price.
- Do not quote the 1,691-record or 8,182-page figures as sales volume. They describe catalogue coverage and checking activity.
- Recheck the live Market immediately before listing because inventory, patches, and regional activity can change the visible range.

- An item being valuable does not prove that it is Market-eligible.
- Bound or character-restricted equipment may be excluded even when similar unbound equipment can be listed.

RMT: the boundary you must not cross
The AION 2 Global Operation Policy and Global Support FAQ define real-money trading as exchanging in-game items or currency for real money, goods, or services. The policy also identifies participating, assisting, attempting, and advertising RMT as punishable conduct.
That prohibition covers more than direct cash sales. It also covers offers involving gift cards, account transfers, paid boosting, cryptocurrency, physical products, or services exchanged for an item or currency. A seller who accepts an in-game currency payment and then requests an external payment is still arranging RMT. Advertising an item seller, escrow service, or currency site can also create risk even if no transaction is completed.

- Ignore messages offering cash, outside goods, or paid services for your items.
- Do not post advertisements or links for item sellers, currency sellers, or escrow services.
- Do not lend an account or move an item to support another person’s outside sale.

Scams and account-safety pitfalls
A Market listing should not require you to disclose a password, one-time code, recovery phrase, or payment-card information. Treat any page that asks for those details as outside the normal in-game flow. Use only the launcher, official website, and client links you already trust.

A screenshot cannot prove that a transaction settled, and third-party listing observations cannot prove ownership or payment. Verify status through the current Market settlement screen or the official account interface.
Do not let urgency force a price decision. A message claiming that a listing expires in minutes, that an account will be banned unless you pay, or that an external escrow is mandatory is not an established Market rule. Record the message and report it through official channels.

The Market option is missing
Check whether your region, server, account, character, or current patch has access requirements. Since the exact requirements are not established in the official material cited here, do not assume a particular level or membership tier. Read the current in-client message and official notice.
The item will not list
Reopen the item details and check its binding or trade restriction. Verify that you selected the correct quantity and that the item is not an event or otherwise restricted reward. If the client gives a specific rejection, use that wording when checking official support information.

The price uses an unfamiliar currency
Use the exact currency name and icon shown in the live listing screen. The official announcement confirms “in-game currency,” but does not establish “Diamonds” as the Global name. Never substitute premium currency without an explicit in-game option.
A direct-trade guide conflicts with your client
Prefer the current client and official notices. Direct trading was reported disabled after the Launch Scale Test, so guides written for the test or an earlier build may no longer apply.
You cannot tell whether a listing sold
