For temporary airspace restrictions and possible effects on aviation, check current FAA advisories and applicable NOTAMs. Treat a listed date or window as a target, not proof that liftoff is imminent: schedules can change, so check the mission page and FAA notices again close to launch.
The simplest way to stay oriented is to keep three questions separate: What has SpaceX announced? Where can I watch? What do aviation notices say about airspace? The mission page is the primary place to answer the first two; FAA material addresses the third. As of October 13, 2026, no future Starship flight date was established by the sources cited here, so Flight 13 and Flight 14 are historical examples—not a schedule for the next flight.

Where to find Starship launch dates and official updates
SpaceX’s launch listings are the starting point for mission announcements. The listings identify Starbase, Texas, as the Starship development, manufacturing, testing and launch site. When a flight has its own page, use that page for mission-specific information rather than relying on an old article or a date copied elsewhere. SpaceX’s Flight 13 mission page is an example of a dedicated page for a particular test flight.

As of October 13, 2026, the sources cited for this guide did not establish a future Starship flight date officially announced by SpaceX. Flight 13 and Flight 14 information is historical, not evidence of the next flight’s schedule. If you encounter a date on a calendar, in a social post or in a news story, verify it against SpaceX’s current listing and mission page before treating it as the active target.

When checking for an update, make sure you are looking at the page for the flight you mean, not a previous test. A mission-specific page can carry information for that particular flight and links to its webcast. A date quoted in a report may have been accurate when published but can become stale after a schedule change. That distinction matters especially when several days or weeks pass between reading an announcement and the planned window.
Do not infer a future date from the numbering of a past flight, a dated advisory or a historical article. The Flight 13 mission page and FAA notices from July 2026 can illustrate how mission details and tentative plans are presented, but they do not establish a future target. Likewise, Space.com’s September 2026 Flight 14 coverage explains the webcast expected for that event; it is not a current schedule for another test.
Which source should you use?
| Source | Best for | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| SpaceX launch listings and the mission-specific page | Official mission announcements, updates and the official webcast link when available. | A target date on its own does not guarantee a launch will occur at that time. |
| Current FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center advisories and applicable NOTAMs | Temporary airspace information and possible aviation effects connected with launch or reentry activity. | They are not a launch webcast, a spacecraft telemetry feed or a substitute for SpaceX’s mission updates. |
| News coverage and third-party live views | Context, commentary, timelines and additional camera views. | They are not the authority for SpaceX’s current mission status; verify viewing links and schedule claims on the mission page. |
These sources answer different questions rather than compete to provide the same service. SpaceX is the primary source for the mission announcement and its own webcast link. A news report may explain the context or offer commentary, but its publication date is important: an article written for one flight can preserve a timeline or viewing link that no longer applies. A pad camera can provide another view, but it is not a substitute for an official status update.
FAA advisories and NOTAMs have a narrower scope. They concern airspace and aviation operations, including temporary restrictions and possible traffic effects associated with launch or reentry activity. They should not be read as a feed showing the rocket’s condition or as confirmation that the flight has begun. If your goal is to watch, follow SpaceX’s current mission page; if your goal is to understand aviation impacts, consult the current FAA material for that activity.

How to watch a Starship test flight
- Open SpaceX’s launch listings. Find the Starship flight and follow its mission-specific page if one is available. Confirm that the page refers to the intended flight rather than an older test.
- Check the mission page for the webcast link. Use the current link shown there rather than an old livestream URL. If you also watch a third-party simulcast or pad camera, treat it as an additional view, not the official status source.
- Check again near the stated window. Mission schedules and webcast timing can change. A published time is a target until the event is actually underway.
- Use the webcast to follow the flight. FAA airspace notices explain aviation restrictions and potential traffic effects; they do not provide the launch broadcast.
- Keep the source and its date together. If you see a time in a news story or saved post, note when that information was published and compare it with the current mission page before making plans.
Webcast timing varies by mission. For its September 2026 Flight 14 coverage, Space.com reported that SpaceX’s webcast was expected to begin about 30 minutes before liftoff and to be available through SpaceX’s X account and official mission page. That is an example for Flight 14, not a standing promise about when future broadcasts will start or which links they will use. Check the page for the specific flight instead of assuming the same start time or destination applies next time.
Third-party coverage can be useful if you want commentary, a timeline or another camera angle. It may be convenient to have a second view open, but verify that its link is live and that it is covering the intended flight. For official mission information, return to SpaceX’s current mission page. If a third-party stream continues after a schedule change, that does not make its original launch time current.
Optional collectible: If you are interested in a desk model rather than a tracking tool, Space.com’s Flight 14 article described a Starship desktop model measuring 13.77 inches (35 cm), at 1:375 scale, and weighing 225 g. Those are product dimensions and weight, not specifications for the actual spacecraft. Treat a model as an optional collectible separate from the free mission updates and webcast. Check any seller’s current listing and claims before buying; the article’s description does not establish Amazon availability, official SpaceX licensing or affiliate terms.
How to tell whether a launch is delayed or confirmed
Compare the newest mission-page information with the current FAA advisory; do not assume an earlier date remains in force. FAA advisories may describe a tentative schedule, and a replacement notice can record a changed target. For example, the FAA’s Flight 13 pre-mission advisory described a tentative plan, and a replacement advisory changed the target date. That history illustrates why an advisory or launch listing should be read as schedule information, not as confirmation that the vehicle has lifted off.

- Target or window: A planned time that may move. Recheck the mission page and current notices.
- Changed target: A newer mission update or replacement advisory supersedes an older schedule for planning purposes.
- Confirmed liftoff: Look for the flight actually beginning in the official webcast or an official SpaceX update. A notice describing a planned window is not proof of liftoff.
In practice, a delay check is a comparison, not a prediction. Open the mission page and look for the latest information about the flight. Then look at the date and status of any FAA advisory you are using. If a newer notice has replaced an older one, do not continue planning around the older target. If the only time you can find is in a dated article, treat it as background until current SpaceX information confirms it.
A target, a change and an actual liftoff are different status points. A published window tells you when the flight is planned, not that it has happened. A replacement schedule indicates that the earlier plan changed; it does not necessarily tell you why. Confirmation requires evidence that the flight is underway, such as the official webcast showing the event or an official SpaceX update. Avoid describing a planned window as a confirmed launch simply because it appears in an advisory.
If sources disagree, prioritize current SpaceX mission information for the mission’s status and current FAA information for airspace restrictions. A third-party article can be useful background, but a dated article may reflect a schedule that has since changed. Check whether it refers to the same flight and whether a later update has superseded it. Do not treat the presence of an FAA notice as proof of a launch: notices are useful for airspace planning, not confirmation of liftoff.
What FAA advisories and NOTAMs tell you
FAA notices are useful if you want to understand temporary airspace impacts, not to watch the rocket or determine vehicle status. The FAA’s February 12, 2026 Final Tiered Environmental Assessment describes launch and reentry notifications that include NOTAMs. Check the current FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center advisory and applicable NOTAMs for the relevant activity; an old advisory is only a historical example.

Use the FAA material when the question is whether airspace information or possible aviation effects have been published. It is a separate check from finding the webcast. Notices have dates and relate to particular activity, so look for current information rather than assuming an old notice remains applicable. A NOTAM or air traffic advisory is not a mission countdown and does not tell viewers whether a vehicle is ready to fly.
The same assessment gives modeled figures for a proposed Florida overflight aircraft-hazard-area scenario: up to 200 commercial aircraft per hour during peak daily travel periods and 10 per hour during the lowest midnight travel period. It models the area’s duration at a minimum of 40 minutes and a maximum of two hours in that scenario. These are scenario-specific assessment figures, not counts or duration estimates for every Starship flight, and should not be presented as the expected effect of a particular launch. The figures explain the kind of possible aviation impact assessed, not what will happen for a given mission.
For context on the boundary between airspace oversight and human spaceflight, the FAA’s Human Space Flight guidance, last updated April 14, 2026, states: “The FAA does not certify launch or reentry vehicles as safe for carrying humans.” This statement does not describe the specific license conditions for every uncrewed Starship test; consult mission-specific FAA material for applicable requirements. It is context about the FAA’s role, not a shortcut for determining the status or conditions of an individual flight.

A practical check before you tune in
- Find the flight on SpaceX’s launch listings and open its mission page.
- Confirm that the page and any linked coverage refer to the flight you intend to follow.
- Use the webcast link on that current mission page; check the page again close to the planned window.
- Confirm whether the time is still a target or whether the launch is actually underway.
- Check current FAA advisories and applicable NOTAMs if you need airspace information.
- Discount old schedules, including historical Flight 13 and Flight 14 coverage, when planning around a future flight.
If you are checking well ahead of a planned event, treat the information as provisional and return later. If you are checking on the day, compare the latest mission information with the latest relevant aviation notices, then use the official webcast or update to establish whether the flight has started. This keeps schedule tracking, viewing and airspace awareness distinct—and reduces the chance of relying on a stale time or the wrong kind of notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I watch a Starship launch?
Start with SpaceX’s launch listings, open the page for the specific mission and use the webcast link shown there. Space.com reported for Flight 14 in September 2026 that SpaceX’s webcast was expected to begin about 30 minutes before liftoff and be available through SpaceX’s X account and the official mission page. That was specific to Flight 14; check the current mission page for future viewing links and timing.
How do I know if a Starship launch is delayed?
Compare the latest information on the SpaceX mission page with current FAA air traffic advisories. A target can change, and the FAA’s Flight 13 pre-mission advisory was tentative; a replacement advisory changed its target date. Older articles and notices may describe a superseded plan. A scheduled window is not confirmation that liftoff has occurred.
Where can I find Starship launch updates?
Use SpaceX’s launch listings and the mission-specific page for official mission information and webcast links. Check current FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center advisories and applicable NOTAMs separately when you need airspace information. News reports and third-party views can add context, but verify current schedule and link details on the mission page.

No. FAA advisories and NOTAMs concern airspace and aviation operations, including temporary restrictions and possible traffic effects. They are not a webcast or a confirmation that the vehicle has lifted off. Use the current SpaceX mission page and official webcast or update for mission status.
Is there a confirmed next Starship flight date?
The sources cited here did not establish a future officially announced Starship flight date as of October 13, 2026. Flight 13 and Flight 14 details are historical examples. Check SpaceX’s current launch listings and mission page for any later announcement.
Does the Flight 14 webcast start time apply to later flights?
Not necessarily. Space.com reported an expected start about 30 minutes before liftoff for Flight 14 in September 2026. Webcast timing and viewing links can be mission-specific, so use the current page for the flight you want to watch.
The Bottom Line
For Starship launch tracking, use SpaceX’s current listings and mission page for official status and webcast links, and FAA advisories and NOTAMs for airspace information. Recheck close to the target window: a planned date can move, and neither an old article nor a tentative notice confirms liftoff. As of October 13, 2026, no future flight date is established here.
