On a The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom replay, use the Adventure Log to review quests, the Purah Pad Shrine Sensor and map pins to locate Shrines, and a separate checklist to track Koroks precisely. The Switch 2 Edition adds ZELDA NOTES achievement rates and guided navigation; original Switch players can use the in-game tools and keep their own marks.
Review quests in the Adventure Log
Press the Minus button and open the Adventure Log to review quests started or finished on the current save. Many entries include hints or reminders that can help you pick up an unfinished thread. Nintendo Support puts it plainly: “You can review any quests you’ve started (and finished) by pressing the – (Minus) Button and navigating to the Adventure Log.” Nintendo Support, General Tips for Playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

For a replay, treat the log as the record of quests the save has registered. If you want a meticulous all-quests checklist across categories, maintain a separate list as well: Nintendo’s description does not establish that every quest category is combined into one completion percentage.
Track Shrine locations and exploration
Use the Shrine Sensor to find nearby Shrines
The Purah Pad Sensor tracks Shrines and alerts you with a sound when one is nearby. Its purpose is to help locate a Shrine, not to serve as a checklist of every Shrine you have completed. Nintendo’s guide places the unlocking of Purah Pad features in the Hateno Village Research Lab quest progression. Nintendo’s Tears of the Kingdom guide.
#1 Best Overall
- Enhanced performance and visuals exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2.
- Explore the skies, caves, and vast lands of Hyrule in a massive open-world adventure.
- Wield new and returning abilities to craft solutions, vehicles, and weapons.
- Discover the mystery behind the spreading gloom threatening the kingdom.
- Use the ZELDA NOTES app to share, compare, and earn daily bonuses.
Pin Shrines you can see
If you spot a Shrine through the Scope, set a pin so you can find it again. Pins appear on the map, making them useful for locations you have noticed but have not visited yet. Nintendo’s map and Scope guidance.
Use Hero’s Path as route history
Hero’s Path Mode shows where you have travelled during the current journey. Check it for areas your route may have missed, but do not treat it as proof that every Shrine, Korok, or quest in an area is complete; it records travel, not category-by-category completion.

- Ultrahand: Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate almost any object, and can even attach objects together to create bridges, vehicles, and more!
- Fuse: Magically fuse almost any object to Link’s current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising—and sometimes hilarious—results!
- Ascend: Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise up through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.
- Recall: Use Recall to make objects in motion move backward through time, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.
Completing a Shrine’s challenge or puzzle earns a Light of Blessing. Four Lights of Blessing can be exchanged at a Goddess Statue for a heart container or stamina vessel. Nintendo Play’s Shrine and Korok guide.
Keep a separate Korok record
Koroks are hidden around Hyrule, and finding or helping one can earn a Korok Seed. Hestu trades Seeds for additional weapon, shield, and bow inventory slots. Nintendo’s Tears of the Kingdom guide.

For a careful sweep on the original Switch version, pair the game’s visible counts with marks on a map or a personal checklist. The official materials cited here explain how Korok Seeds are earned and used, but do not describe a complete in-game found-versus-missing Korok checklist. Hero’s Path will not fill that gap: it shows where you have been, not which Koroks remain undiscovered.

What ZELDA NOTES adds on Switch 2 Edition
ZELDA NOTES is exclusive to the Switch 2 Editions of Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. For Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo says it can show achievement rates for Shrine clears and Korok discoveries, guide you by voice toward a selected map marker, and update the device map with your in-game position every few seconds while the feature is in use. It requires the Nintendo Switch App on a smart device; Nintendo says a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. Nintendo’s ZELDA NOTES information.

The Switch 2 Edition also provides two save files, allowing you to continue one adventure and start another. Nintendo says the second save created in the Switch 2 Edition cannot be transferred to the original Switch version. Nintendo’s Switch 2 Edition page.

Quick Recap
Use the lightest system that matches your replay
- To resume a normal playthrough: check the Adventure Log for quest threads and use the Shrine Sensor when you are exploring.
- To avoid losing track of spotted locations: pin visible Shrines and add personal marks for Koroks you find.
- For a completion-focused run: keep a consistent checklist for Koroks and any quest categories you want to verify, rather than assuming travel history or a single percentage proves everything is done.
- If you have the Switch 2 Edition: use ZELDA NOTES for its Shrine and Korok achievement rates and marker navigation, while keeping in mind it is a Switch 2 feature rather than an original Switch tool.
